Why is it important to President Trump to investigate how the Trump-Russia investigation began?

Because Trump’s political opponents used this investigation as a tool to ruin him, with the end goal being his impeachment with possible criminal prosecution later on. Since they were unsuccessful in their witch hunt and as Trump isn’t known to be a particularly forgiving man (especially after having been hounded and called a wide range of slurs by his political opponents and media pundits during the coverage of his alleged connection to Russia), he will now use this opportunity to settle a few scores with the people in the Democratic establishment who had tried to destroy him in the first place. What is important is that this entire situation has nothing to do with Russia and everything to do with the ego of Ms. Clinton and the loss of the one candidate who was treated as the next President-elect by the media even before the results were in. Trump’s victory had stunned the Democratic establishment and their allies across the board so much that instead of learning a lesson from this defeat in order to beat Trump in the next election, they decided not to wait but instead moved mountains to kick him out of the White House while he was still packing his things to move in. The Russian connection hoax was as good an idea as any and the anti-Trump camp used all of their resources to spin it to the public as well as they could but a lie is still a lie and now Trump will try to make them pay for what they had tried to do to him.

What do members of the US Intelligence agencies (current or retired) think of the many conspiracy theories about what they do and where they work?

I guess I have a couple reactions. In general, conspiracy theories say vastly more about the person who believes them than about the CIA. I range from just shaking my head to frustration to being offended. It's generally in reverse proportion to how outlandish the theory. For example, theories about 9/11 are so ridiculous that I can't even get offended. I really just pity the person who believes them bc it means something is so lacking in their lives that they have to spin these crazy stories. They're delusional and don't even know it. It's hard to get offended when the story is so outlandish that it's more science fiction than reality. You almost can't help but laugh. Sometimes I'm even flattered by how all-powerful and all-knowing the theories make the CIA seem. I think, "Why, yes, I'll get back to coordinating the secret world government that's somehow always 30 steps ahead...right after I get someone from IT to reset my password because I hadn't had my morning coffee and managed to lock myself out of the system."I've never run into a person who actually expresses one of these theories to me, so I don't really know what I'd do. When I see them on Quora, I generally just ignore them unless there's a specific point that's worth responding to (and there usually isn't). On the other hand, there are the things that offend and frustrate me. These are usually stories that are plausible but off-the-mark. You usually seem them in the press, but I consider them in the same class as conspiracy theories. Most of what you read in the press--from the NY Times to the London Review of Books--is simply wrong or only part of the story. The only reason anyone would talk to a reporter is to push a certain agenda, so you only get that slanted perspective. I can't say what, but I read plenty of articles where I know what actually happened and the article is simply wrong bc it's relying on people trying to fight some internal political battle. These are the things that offend me bc they diminish what's actually occurring and frustrate me bc I feel like the reporter should know better that they're being played by one side or the other. I don't want it to sound like reporters never get it right, but the stories I see that do are few and far between.

Why was JFK assassinated?

I'm only 16 so I wasn't even born when it happened and no one has taken the time to educate me on the topic. I don't want to hear any conspiracy theories. I just want to hear what he was doing that was so controversial that he was assassinated.
