Should A Large Wall Be Built Between Usa And Canada So Their Cold Weather Doesn

Canada's weather cool/cold than US ?

Canada has colder weather, but only for the winterest months its the difference significant - Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar. But Americans think that the snow stops at the border and we live in Igloos all year. We have 4 seasons, like anyone else. Just a longer winter. LOL where would we put a plug into the wall for our computers in an igloo???

Is there a wall between The United States and Canada?

No, there is certainly nothing that would be understood as a wall along any significant part of the U.S.-Canada border. But keep in mind that the border is thousands of kilometers long, and it varies significantly as you move along it, and one thing that varies is how “fortified” the border is. The U.S.-Canadian border is frequently described as being the longest “undefended” border in the world, but that refers to the fact that the U.S. and Canadian militaries do not maintain installations along the border that are directed at each other. The law enforcement agencies of both countries certainly patrol the border very seriously, and crossing the border is serious business.Like I said, it depends on where you are. The somewhat famous twin towns of Stanstead, Quebec, and Derby Line, Vermont, are basically a single town bisected by the border, where the border occasionally runs directly through buildings. Huge expanses of the border are uninhabited wilderness; over a thousand kilometers of the border between Alaska and Yukon is remote taiga and tundra. A significant part of the border is water - from the western end of Lake Superior through to the St. Lawrence River, the only way to cross the border is by bridge, tunnel, or boat, generally crossing waterways that would be difficult to swim under even the best of conditions. These defined crossing points create natural choke points that make it easy to manage customs without need for any kind of wall. The busiest crossing on the entire border, between Detroit and Windsor, is alertly guarded on both sides by police who will question you pretty thoroughly on what your plans are.

Is it always cold in Canada?

Yes. I live in a house made of ice because there are no trees. It is dark most of the year. I have to break the ice in the summer to go swimming. That is why Canadians are good at hockey, they get to practice 11 months of the year. One month is summer so we travel to the States to see the sun.A quick google search would dispel the above stories.I play soccer year round on green grass. I play volleyball on the grass in summer. Ultimate can be played year round too. There are palm trees here in Victoria where I live. The temperatures here range from 0c-25c year round.Fun story: I left Victoria one spring, it was March and hot, so I was wearing shorts and sandals. I flew to Pittsburgh PA, into a wet snow storm (ie close to 0c). The airline official saw me in shorts and said “Why are you wearing…?”. I said “I am from Canada.” That left an understanding look on his face, I think it was along the lines of “Oh, so this is warm for you, being from Canada.”Conversely in the territory Nunavut in northern Canada the temperature is about 5c in summer and as low as -50c.So, no it is not always cold. I just checked and here are some records: List of extreme temperatures in Canada - WikipediaI will let you decide after seeing that wiki link if 40+ c is cold.I know that -60 c is cold.

Why doesn't Canada build a border wall and make the US pay for it?

Because put simply, a wall is a terrible idea for security. Not only does it cost a stupid amount of money but it also won’t necessarily keep out (or in) people. There are more effective ways of monitoring a border that does not require a physical barrier. A physical barrier is only really necessary in areas where there are large populations where it is more likely that people will try to “cross the line” without being noticed. Physical barriers are only really meant to funnel people to select access points. Also considering a large portion of our border is water, you can’t put a wall there so there will still be gaps in the wall. There are also certain parts along the border where a wall would just be inefficient and inconvenient to a local populous, particularly those that live in rural areas where livestock and land sometimes ‘cross borders’.The better solution is advanced monitoring of a border through new technologies that will detect movement, apply facial recognition, and ultimately flag a control center which will review the alert and dispatch border security as necessary. There should also be more detachments of border control units closer to the border for a quicker interception of possible intruders. Drones owned and operated by border services would also be beneficial and cooperation between the two countries border controllers make monitoring a border significantly easier (which we already do to some extent). Honestly, if people are serious about better border protection in any country, they have to be reasonable and be willing to look for the best solution. A physical barrier is only useful when there are too many people in a concentrated area to monitor effectively by other means. A wall is primitive and ineffective.

Do buildings in Canada have doors you can open to get inside?

We've taken to having tunnels. It's easier than having doors, is cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and has the added benefit of not needing shoveling out in the winter when it snows.

We are just SO friendly here that no one needs actual doors, we are far to polite to just barge into any room without at least calling, emailing and/or sending gifts beforehand. We have drapes over bathroom entrances just to ensure that our rude bottoms aren't seen by others without warning. (If this does happen by accident, apologizes are given all around, beer is drank to help forget the incident and then a hockey game is watched to wipe the image out of our heads.)

GST is the Good Service Tax and we all gladly pay it so that we get good and friendly service from those installing the tunnels, making sure they're clean and sending out thank you cards to those who use them.

Ottawa has brought forward the idea of slide tunnels, so it's easier and far more enjoyable to travel between areas. It has also been suggested that in the summer, water should pumped into the tunnels for a water-slide type like feature.

It would cost far too much for the US to install tunnels at this point, or to start removing doors. They could adopt a policy of nailing their doors shut so that people will gain a greater appreciation of their homes, and prevent the outside from being messed up. This would save on clean-up costs, and policing costs, and help any pollution problems that may be occurring because of residents being outside.

Does Canada have a better immigration policy than the United States?

Yes simply yes ( from Canadian perspective)We only allow educated immigrants based in criteriaWe are very selective when it comes to who is allowedYou may argue highly educated immigrants are working as cab driver bla bla but that is it government fault. That fault lies between the immigrant community and businessesPath to citizenship is fast and easy compare to USATreated fairly well by all citizen. Racism exist but so does it in Bangladesh india China all the placesCanadian has easy access to USA market but revserve is not true again because government makes it hard to get work permit for foreign workerEasy to bring your family or parents but hard to get visit visa where easy in USA for touristSo yes Canada has better immigration systemHowever if Canada has border like Mexico then trust me Trudeau would use his own family funds to build a wallWe are lucky because we are protected by two large ocean and United state of America and cold weatherBut from economic perspective USA win hands downIlligal immigrants makes more money in USA than legal immigrants in Canada thus one of the reason why you dont see illegal crossing US Canada border
