Should Eric Holder Get A Paycheck If He

How long does it take a check deposit at the ATM at Chase Bank?

Not that clear what you are asking because it only takes me 5 minutes to do it myself. If you want to know how long until it clears that is a bit more time.If you are not doing anything fancy like image scanning the check, then I can tell you for certain that the depositing a check at the ATM is just the same as depositing the check with a teller. The cutoff for same day for branch service ATMs might be 3PM or later now that banks are open later. The law may still allow banks to consider any transaction after 3PM the next business day. Some branches process the envelopes in the branch and others send to a central processing area.....or a mixture. Cash in branch and check only sent out.How long the funds are made available is regulated by state funds availability regulations. Used to be that banks could hold your non local checks for like two weeks, while they had there hands on the money much sooner. In my state. 100 available next day. 4900 available after 3rd day. Local checks fully cleared on 4th day. Non local checks fully clear after 5th day. Local and non-local depend on ABA routing number on check vs the state you are making a deposit. If the check is being imaged processed same as you can do with smart phone then it just means it will use bank ABA routing and your bank account info to electronically submit your check through clearing house. They probably have to hold the physical copy of the check for a prescibed amount of time before they can destroy it. They will still make funds available as according to their compliant funds availability process. Ask for brochure, they are required to discloseIt is perfectly safe to deposit check at ATM vs a teller because either way if the check gets lost or mangled somewhere, the bank will due to its perfected security interest and various holder in due cause statutes will debit your account and ask you to get a new copy of the check. A check is not cash but merely is an order to pay and if it never gets to clearing house then as far as the bank is concerned it never existed. Somewhat easy to get a copy of your paycheck......a treasury check from IRS or government not so much. Give that one to the teller if you were not wise enough to pick direct deposit

Why do people say obama stopped medical marijuana raids?

jonds- sorry you are wrong. i have several dollars taken out of every paycheck that goes toward paying people to lock up people who use marijuana like me. i do not consent to this. the fact that marijuana and other drugs are illegal makes it so that gangs run the street to sell the stuff and fight over turf. so my country is more dangerous because of it. then the drugs are of unknown content and purity making overdoses more likely. thats the whole thing, i would love to be left alone and smoke pot when i want, but they are the ones who are messing with me. i didnt violate anyones life liberty of property, the government did.

In light of the Obama administration refusal to call "terrorism" by name, what should we call Saturday's...?

NO

"The president, prior to a speech on the economy at the Business Council in Washington, said the incident was “another sobering reminder of the times in which we live.’’ He said it was both the vigilance of private citizens and the effective cooperation of law-enforcement authorities that interrupted the attempted attack and led to the swift arrest. Faisal Shahzad was taken into custody at JFK Airport shortly after midnight EDT Tuesday.

“The suspect is now in custody and is being questioned,’’ he said. The FBI and their partners in the investigation have “all the tools’’ they need to determine if the suspect acted in concert or alone, he said.

“Justice will be done, and we will continue to do everything in our power to protect the American people." Terrorists, he said, "will stop at nothing" to disrupt Americans' way of life."

"“I would say that was intended to terrorize, absolutely,” Gibbs said. “And I would say whoever did that would be characterized as a terrorist.”"

Eric Holder: "This investigation is ongoing, as are our attempts to gather useful intelligence, and we continue to pursue a number of leads. But its clear that the intent behind this terrorist act was to kill Americans."

In light of the President, the Press Secretary and the AG ALL calling this terrorism and using the term terrorist...you FAIL!

I am earning 62k USD and am on H1B Visa. Will my employer increase my salary to 130k as per the new bill?

There are three options that could happen:All workers currently here are God fathered in under their current contract terms and will not have a raise. The increase does happen but the pay does not go retroactive, meaning you will not receive 68k for every past year you’ve worked but your pay will be 130k a year. The increase does happen and you get the retro for past years worked. Meaning 130k a year plus 68k for every year you worked in the past in one payment.I believe option 1 above will be the outcome. If option 2 or 3 happens you will likely not have a job for very long if not immediately terminated and that will depend on the size / profitability of business and the value you personally bring to said business. This law will be tested as all the big money players in our economy will be affected. Our nation is devoid of good developers. Yes, we produce small batches of good quality developers from our upper college ranks, but for the most part we do not have a large pool of developers. If the law stays then you will see lots of developer boot camps opening up similar to when networking really had a boom and there were not enough network admins (cisco bootcamps and the like). These camps and universities will pump out large pools of developers to fill this void.New Delhi developer out of University Of New Delhi - 130kUS Citizen developer fresh out of Stanford / Harvard - 60k - 100kThe cost would be too high and Americans will again produce developers. However, this does add some value to the countries that produce a lot of good developer talent especially India.India has all of her entrepreneurial and innovative talent stolen by US companies and economy so that most if not all innovation that would be being produced in India is produced by Indians in America.

What are the legal differences between resigning and being terminated?

Typically, being terminated means being fired. BUT, if you've handed in your resignation, some companies may not want you to work out your 2 weeks and terminate your employment immediately. That doesn't mean you've been fired, particularly since you received the payout you thought you would receive. It just means they don't want you working out the 2 weeks for whatever reason. Many times this happens if they feel they have sensitive client information that you could gather and take with you to a new employer if you had the 2 weeks to do so. It also doesn't mean you wouldn't necessarily be eligible for re-hire.

What are some pros and cons of being a prosecuting attorney??

PROS: prosecuting the bad guys and hopefully justice will prevail. Benefits - 3-5 weeks paid vacation per year (although one doesn't get to take it until one has been employed for at least 2-3 years) plus a government pension (defined benefit, so you don't have to worry about it losing money like a 401(k)).

Great trial experience. Unless you hang up your own shingle, you won't be able to get trial experience until you've been practicing law for at least 3-5 years (at most firms). With the DA's office, you are usually starting trial within 3-6 months after beginning there.

CONS: low starting salary to begin with, but it does go up with seniority. The positions are fairly political (you have to know someone to get in) but once you get in, you can be there for your career. I'm not sure where you are, but in the Inland Empire (in Southern California), a deputy district attorney (that's what we call prosecuting attorneys) starts out at $60,000/year and maxes out at $130,000/year (this is non-supervisory capacity level). Supervisors (i.e. supervising DDA, chief DDA, assistant DA, chief assistant DA and the elected DA) earn anywhere from $140,000 - $220,000/year. Plus, remember the benefits - 3-5 weeks of vacation/year (although in the first few years, you can't take a vacation because you'll be learning) AND government pension.

Although Cat pointed out that newbies are working 24/7, it is highly unlikely that within the 1st year, the newbie will be sent out to the crime scene - these are usually reserved for on-call DDA's - who are also usually supervisors because they're the ones who are handling the felony trials (and the crime scene call outs are usually for some type of murder).
