NVIDIA SHIELD Portable DISCONTINUED?
Yes it is discontinued and has been for quite some time. It was not a super popular device to begin with but with the Nvidia Shield streaming device out now, they really see no reason to make anymore portables.

What do you think of the NVIDIA Shield Tablet?
I think that one thing that is overlooked is the stylus. I know that the tablet is marketed as a gaming machine, but the stylus input is reasonably good and the watercolor effects in the Dabbler application that comes built-in make you go "ooooooohh" when you first see them. I think that as a cheap portable graphics tablet it is most remarkable. Not really, if you already have a android phone you just plug-in a controler and done if not you can buy it but it's more like an experiment
Broken NVIDIA SHIELD tablet. What can I do?
So I just recently broke my Nvidia Shield Tablet that I bought 19 days ago. What happened was that I left it on top of the car and it fell off. The whole screen is cracked and the back case is all warped. The screen still turns on but I can only the time on half of the screen, the other half is white.

I was looking to buy a Nvidia Shield Portable, but the website is out of stock and I can't find it anywhere else. There was only one on amazon and it was more expensive than it should be(like 300$ more). And I don't want the nvidia shield tablet. Does anyone know where i can buy this for the right price?
Nvidia Shield or PS Vita?
So right now I'm planning on buying my next portable hardware but I am really having a hard time deciding on which. I already have a 3DS and I'm loving it, so here are the candidates: 1.) Nvidia Shield: I was going to buy the Shield portable because it's more convenient for gaming thanks to the integrated controls and screen, but I'm reconsidering and would prefer to buy the Shield tablet now. I don't plan to stream PC games with the Shield btw, my reasons for wanting one are tons of emulation options including PSP, some Android games (GTA, Dragon Quest, hopefully Ace Attorney 5 in the future and others) and general media capabilities. This would actually be my first tablet so I'm excited about using my Android apps on a bigger screen. 2.) PS Vita: Sony's neglected hardware is a candidate mainly because it's the only place where I can play Persona 4 The Golden. I'm also interested in other games like Danganronpa and Final Fantasy X/X-2, as well as streaming my PS3 games to it(don't know how well this works). Portable indie games would only be a plus, but not actually a selling point for me. So considering what I've said, which is the better option for me?
