I would do it now. Even if they interview you fast, by the time everything is done, it will be your 16th birthday already. It will show that you are eager and that you are hardworking. :)

How do parents forget their only daughter's 18th birthday?
Yesterday was my 18th birthday. I didn't hear from either of my parents the whole day. Like what the h? How do I even react to something like that. The people I work with cared more about my birthday than my parents. Oh and they were both out of town, my mom was on a business trip, which I'm fine with because I don't really get along with her anyways. But my dad actually at least pretends to give a damn about me most of the time and he was in florida, golfing. Something that easily could have been scheduled a different time. But seiously, neither of them could take like a minute out of their day just to call and say happy birthday. Is it that hard!? I just don't get it or know how I'm supposed to feel about this. Everyone was like it's your 18th birthday you should be happy and I couldn't even tell them what was going on. I just can't believe it. What do I do?

When I was 6 years old all I wanted was to have a birthday party at McDonald's. Everyone was having their parties there. I was over the moon happy when my mom agreed to let me have a party there.The night before my party I took a bath. While I was in the bath I noticed these small red dots on my stomach. I was petrified! I finally was getting the birthday party I wanted and then this happens. I had no idea what the red bumbs were so I hid them when my mom came in to check on me. I thought it wasn't a big deal as they would go away and I'd be fine in the morning.The next morning I woke up so itchy all over. I jumped out of bed and ran to the mirror. The worst catastrophe stared back at me. I had chicken pox! My mom immediately cancelled my party. I was devastated. To make it worse, now I had to spend my birthday alone as no one wanted to be around me.I was wallowing in my sadness and disappointment in my room. I heard a knock on my door and there stood my grandma. She handed me a happy meal and gave me a huge hug. So every four years, there is a leap day, and every 100 years, not, and every 400 years, one. 2000 was a leap year, unlike 1900 or 2100, in the Gregorian calendar.However, legally, age is measured in calendar years. We don't look at the time of day of birth. If a child was born before midnight at the end of a day, they are a year old at the beginning of that date. But not the day before. They are that old for the entire year after that, until their next birthday.Legally, if someone is born on February 29, the leap day, they are not yet a year old on the next February 28. They will turn one as soon as the next day starts. I would interpret their "birthday" as being March 1 except in leap years. This is totally routine, I expect.When we go to get a drivers' license, they will look at the year and date. If the date is not yet the birthday, we are one year less than the difference in years. Any day after that, we are then the difference in years, old. February 28 is before February 29.February 28 is the last day that one's legal age is a year younger than the difference. It's 13 days until my birthday! SEPTEMBER 29th! but my parent's haven't mentioned anything.. and I want to tell them that they forgot my birthday last year.. It was my 16th. The year before that they tried to celebrate it on the wrong day. It's also recorded on our health insurance and in the school system on different days. I've got 3 other siblings.. So I know it's difficult to remember everyones birthday.. but it seems like they always forget mine. Am I too old for birthdays? Is it whiny to remind them?
