Is alcohol really haram in Islam? Or is it okay for my friend to drink alcohol 'over the weekends in order to relax and find peace'?

Most Muslims will tell you that it’s strictly forbidden, and it is one of the biggest sins out there you can commit. But if you actually read the rest of the passage in the Quran of Al-Baqarah 2:219. You will read that it’s adviced not to drink it.“They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say, "In them is great harm, and a benefit for people; but their harm is greater than their benefit." They ask you how much are they to give, say, "The excess." Thus, God clarifies for you the signs that you may think.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:219, Quran: A Reformist Translation)What’s the difference you might ask? Well, most Muslims see drinking alcohol almost like a crime, if murder or rape is number one, drinking alcohol is number two. But when it’s adviced not to do something, you can read it like a father who tells his son not to do something. There is a difference between advicing someone something, and not allowing them to do something at all. Yes, the Quran tells you to stay away from intoxicants. But treating Muslims who drink once in a while like kafirs (unbelievers/disbelievers), is IMO a bigger sin, because at that point, you decide to play God (Allah). So, to answer your question:Is alcohol really haram in Islam? Or is it okay for my friend to drink alcohol ‘over the weekends in order to relax and find peace’?It’s suggest that you don’t drink it, and stay away from it, because the benefits are smaller than the harm it can create (especially when you drink excessively). But then again who are we to judge you or your friend. So, it’s really something between him and God (Allah).

Every time I see someone in a mask, I get scared. How do I overcome my fear of masks?

HiShort answer… anything you understand you tend to lose fear over. Most masks are intended to intimidate or frighten. Why? Because we cannot read the facial expressions and assume the wearer is NOT frightened.Plus, masks allow anonymity for the wearer, so the can “hide” and “justify” imoral acts. It is why ANTIFA, the K K Klan use them. “It wasn't ME, it was ANTIFA that just assaulted and attempted murder. Oh, and by the way, that guy just waiting at the bus stop? He had it coming.”Add the idea the mask gives the wearer “power” (think warrior paint and tattoos in primitive societies.) Put on a mask, now I put on my POWER!Add symbolic archetypes, such as the Devil, to the pot. Wear a Devil mask… oh boy, you scare me. It's why people in plays use masks, the mask explains a whole mythos in a condensed way. And, it works. That said, look PAST the mask, realize it is usually a pathetic, weak, antisocial individual who is so indoctrinated by whatever fad, like SJWs, that if you strip off the mask, they are just losers.Take away the power of anonymity, and make them personally responsible… police, military, ANTIFA, jail guards… suddenly become respectful and law abiding again. And, if it ever arises, don't reverse it. Remember the individual. For example, don't stomp on a cop wearing a mask and justify it by “putting it to the patriarchy” or whatever. Remember you are not hurting a symbol but a person, who likely has a wife and kids at home.He was/is just doing his job, is probably pretty unhappy about it too. Don't become evil.

Why do some people find gas masks so scary?

When people wear gas masks, it’s usually because something serious is happening, and when you yourself are not protected from that something, you have valid reasons to be worried. Besides that, you usually can’t see a person’s expressions behnd a gas mask (you might see the upper half of the face if they are wearing a panoramic mask, but masks that let you see the whole face are only in concept stages during time of writing) and people are instinctively wary of people whose facial expressions can’t be read.Add to that that some masks are extra spooky, such as the S6 maks worn by the british armed forces during the time of operation Nimrod with their oversized eye cavities that make the whole mask look like a living caricarture at a distance, and ShMS masks that look like something out of ‘Pompel & Pilt’

What would America be like today if the South won the Civil war?

America would have had another Civil War later (probably in the earlier part of the 1900's) with slavery still ending in the South. Southern USA would now have no slavery and would be a lead ally of the Northern United States. There would always be talk of "Should the United States reunite one day?" but they wouldn't over other political issues. The south would be less involved in foreign affairs since for a longtime it was not a Superpower though come 2000's it would be as much a Super Power as the UK. The north would have been a major Super Power since World War 1.

Also, the North would have entered World War II later since Hawaii would never have been purchases by the USA and thus while Pearl Harbor would exist it would be much smaller and never attacked. Other strikes by Japan would have led the Northern USA to enter the war in 1942. The Southern USA would have played a minor role only in the War offering some support to Allies similar to what our USA did in Kosovo or Libya.

Finally, both economies would have had hardships but at different times in US history. Thus right now things wouldn't be as bad economically but at the same time they would be much worse at a later time when we are doing good.

Overall, it is obviously a very good thing that the South lost.

Have you ever traveled to a very dangerous country or territory? If so, what was it like?

Yes indeed. Most dangerous was Prypiat, Chernobyl. Nuclear radiation is indeed dangerous enough that it almost explains itself. But still got my hair… :)Just to prove what I am stating, above me with my ID Card in-front of the reactors.Above the reactor shell which they have built to house the “still-leaking” reactor…The abandoned Gas mask inside school cafeteria.A school hall…The “Woodpecker” antenna. The public in-door swimming pool and spa.One of the classrooms.Lastly, check out the radiation unit count. For those of you who know how to determine the shown figures, you know what this means.Would just like to note that I answered this in regard to danger towards health. Not in sense of dangerous to crime or political turmoil etc.etc.

Why is Black History Month in February?

"Woodson (Carter G. Woodson, one of the founders of Association for the Study of ***** Life and History (ASNLH)) chose the second week of February to celebrate ***** History Week because that week included the birthdays of two important men: President Abraham Lincoln (February 12) and Frederick Douglass (February 14). When ***** History Week turned into Black History Month in 1976, the celebrations during the second week of February expanded to the entire month of February."

It always blanks out that word! D:

EDIT: "Personally i dont think there shouldnt be black history month, they can just read a book lol and every other day is white hstory"

Double negative...so you're saying that there SHOULD be Black History Month...

Does an elephant on the moon have the same amount of mass as it would on the Earth? Why?

‘Mass’ is not to be confused with ‘weight’.Mass is the measure of the amount of matter present in an object. It has nothing to do with where the object is. Mass is measured in kilograms, pounds, ounces etc.Weight isn’t. When you say your weight is 60 kg, you’re actually saying that your weight is 60 kg f (kilogram force, the actual unit of weight). The weight of an object on Earth is ‘its mass multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity; roughly equal [math] 9.8 \frac{m}{s^2} [/math].’ In short, ‘weight’ is the measure of ‘force acting on an object (usually gravity), whereas ‘mass’ is the amount of matter that the object holds. Whether it’s on Earth, or the moon, or even the Sun; the mass will remain constant.Hence, to answer you question, the elephant on the moon will have the same ‘mass’ as that on Earth; however, its ‘weight’ will vary on both bodies.Have you heard of the term ‘weightlessness’?The guy (or girl, I’m not sure. I’ll just call it ‘guy’) in this picture is experiencing weightlessness. Which means, his weight at that moment of time is zero (as in the gravitational acceleration acting on him is negligible). However, his mass cannot be zero. If it was, basically, he wouldn’t exist.
