Should I Buy Amazon Kindle Or Samsung Note 3

I already own a Samsung Galaxy Note II. Should I purchase a Kindle Paperwhite?

The benefits of reading on Kindle is that the e-ink technology produces crisp and clear text. Also, reading on a smartphone screen in full sunlight is very difficult since the screen reflects the glare. Kindle comes with a non-reflective screen which makes it easier to read on Kindle even in full sunlight.Kindle is also very less power consuming with one charge lasting for weeks when moderately used since e-ink once "drawn" on the screen does not require any charge to maintain it. I charge my Kindle once a month even after reading atleast 1 hour every day (I keep the backlight off and the airplane mode on).

Kindle vs. Nook?

The biggest thing is what you're looking for out of these devices.
If you're going for the ability to access many books without paying much, I recommend a Nook.
Kindles and Nooks both have an appstore (but I wouldn't be surprised if the Amazon appstore was more developed).
Both have the ability to access owned books from any other smart device.

Keep in mind that different editions to each line of eReaders have different perks too (the Nook GlowLight is waterproof and dustproof while the Kindle Paperwhite has a built in reading light).

I recommend going to the Barnes and Nobles website and the Amazon website, find the model you want from each and read all of their included features to find one that fits your needs.

Can I charge my Amazon Kindle by Mobile Phone charger?

On your kindle it reads +5.25V DC and 500mA.Basically you have to see the Adapter rating which you have or any mobile USB charger. You have to take care mainly the voltage rating on your Adapter which you want get charged for the kindle.Ex: If adapter rating is +5V DC and 1500mA. It is good and in kindle you will have a sustainable +-5% tolerance of voltage. The current output from your adapter is 1500mA, but the kindle only takes how much it requires i.e., 500mA. So by that it takes takes its actual time to get fully charged by consuming 500mA. (Only consumes how it can).If you are charging the device through laptop USB ports. USB2.0 will give different output and USB3.0 will give different current output. It varies accordingly. If you have the current output less than 500mA. It just means that it will take more time to fill the charge to a full load of battery. No harm to kindle if you have all these considerations taken care. You can use any adapter. Make sure you have taken care voltage ratings before you plug in your kindle.

Should I buy a Kindle to read PDF documents and not for ebooks? Is there any alternative within that cost (INR 6k)?

Why not!I have hardly bought any books from Amazon. Most of the times, I read PDFs on my Kindle Paperwhite and it works just like any other e-book.Although there are issues with some of the files but 99 percent of the PDF files get easily converted to mobi format and you can then change the font, font size, you can highlight, take notes, and even use the dictionary feature without any problem. You can download Calibre on your PC to convert any type of file to mobi and then transfer it to your Kindle. You can use online converters as well.OrrrrrYou can do it the easy way. Figure out your Kindle email address from your Amazon account. Send the pdf that you want to that email ID from your regular Gmail etc. With 'Convert' as the subject. Amazon will automatically convert the file and you'll have no problem reading it with ease on your Kindle. So yeah, for 6k (which drops down to 5k during the discount period) I'd say Kindle is the best e-reader available in the market. For some PDFs that do not get converted automatically through the email system, I use Calibre/any other converter and send it to my Kindle.Happy reading ! :)

Should I buy a Kindle or should I buy a tablet, and use it to read eBooks?

Buy Kindle PaperWhite instead of the basic version, though the basic is exactly like a book; however, because of no light of its own, it becomes difficult to read at night.Go for PaperWhite. Buy books from Amazon. If you read a lot of books, you may go for Kindle Unlimited subscription. There is also another way if you have PDFs of your books then you can use Calibre Software to convert the books into mobi format and read at your leisure on your Kindle. Just convert on laptop and put those on your Kindle. If you want a device that does a lot of things apart from providing reading platform, then go for a tablet. Otherwise for reading purpose only, go for Kindle. Let me know your experience or if you get a better option for reading.@Vinita_Daryani

Is it worth buying Kindle in India and what books can one read using Amazon Kindle?

Go for the Kindle without a second thought if you like to read! It's an amazing product. A long time investment and a great companion. The battery lasts for weeks. The books are cheaper.Or free. (You can convert and transfer ebooks to your Kindle from a PC. So you can also transfer free ebooks from your PC to the Kindle. You can read for hours without any eye strain. The brilliant e-ink display provides a real paper like experience. The inbuilt dictionary is cool. And will help you with vocabulary. It's very light-weight, you can carry it anywhere. You can also read newspapers like The Hindu, TOI etc. (With the help of the PC software Calibre)I bought a Kindle with my pocket money, last year after a lot of thoughts and a lot of confusion. But I am extremely happy with it and fell in love with the device as soon as I received it.A beautiful quote from the book 'Shoe Dog' by Phil Knight.I have around 70 books in my Kindle right now. And their collective price would be near Rs. 30000 ($460). But since I downloaded them for free, I saved Rs. 30000 on that!I've heard people saying Kindle doesn't give them the feeling of reading an actual physical book, and that they can't get the smell of a book. But you don't read a book to smell it right? And after reading for a few minutes, you don't even notice if you're reading a physical book or reading in on Kindle. I tried!I read 'Zero to One' by Peter Thiel on Kindle and also read the physical book. An amazing book. And both experiences were different, Kindle being more practical as I could search the dictionary, highlight and take notes at an instant.Have a great time, folks! Happy reading.
