Should I Buy An Expensive Gaming Pc This Year Or Next Year

My 11 year old son wants to build a gaming PC but he wants to spend $1500 on it. What should I say?

So then I changed my mind to yes.But, I would take several things into consideration such asDoes he have any friends he can play withHow to monitor what he is playing and who he is playing with (hopefully not a random person)Would he still play this in 3 years (Because if not he shouldn’t put that much into it as electronics of that sort will depreciate greatly as new technology rapidly advances)Would he spend too much time on it and would it change who he isSo to answer your question:I would tell him no… 1500 is a absurd amount to spend on a GAMING computer when you could buy a console (which more people have) for a third the price.This answer came from me.. being 15 used to love playing video games hours a day, I now spend several hours a day after school reading, studying, and exercising. I may not go to a prestigious high school, but I still have hopes of becoming a multi-millionaire and this matters a lot, you need drive to succeed.Also once he gets a license he will be out much longer going to parties, games at high school, and doing stuff with friends and will not have time to play.

Should I buy a gaming PC or PS4 in India?

There are certain factors which can help you to decide whether to go for PS4 or gaming PC.(Please do consider XBOX One as well, it may be expensive than PS4 in India, but it is equally good. I have XBOX One S. And you can play xbox exclusives like Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 3 and Halo 3 etc)(Please dont go for gaming laptops they are very expensive and less upgradable thus defeating the purpose of PC gaming)Price wise Gaming PC will cost you a little more than console or even the same depending on how powerful you want your PC to be. And in the long run you have to pay more for the PC to upgrade it from time to time.Controller is better than mouse/keyboard for all kind of games be it racing, combat, sports except single person shooter. Initially it will be very difficult to play on controller but once you get the heck of it you will enjoy it more than keyboard/mouse. PC has the edge here as you can always buy and attach a controller to your PC and use it along with keyboard/mouse.Games will be released first on console than PC. And consoles have exclusives. But games on PC will be cheaper thanks to steam/torrentz.Graphics is a questionable topic. If you are graphic nerd than ofcourse you can get better graphics on PC thanks to graphic cards. BUT on consoles you will hardly find any frame drops or lag thanks to optimization of games for your console.Choosing a game is easier on console as you just have to look for PS4 or XBOX ONE to be written on top of CD. You just install them and play. You will be assured that it will run smooth. On PC you have to look for system requirements and all.You get motion sensor games on consoles. On pc you dont.Consoles are better for group entertainment as you can connect two controllers and tv screen is always bigger than monitor.Online multiplayer is better on PC as it is free. On XBOX you have subscribe xbox live. On PS4 its playstation online.Consoles will not get slow as they age while PC's will. But PC's are upgradable, consoles are use and throw.ULTIMATELY IF YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL GAMER GO FOR PC. IF YOU ARE CASUAL GAMER GO FOR CONSOLE.

How can I get enough money for a gaming PC? I currently am 15 years old and do not have a job (I use USD).

A great starting point is asking your neighbours if they will pay you to mow their lawn. Try to convince you will mow the lawn once a week or fortnightly. (if they want it done regularly make sure you don’t overbook and you will get to their lawn as promised)You can always set your prices, if they have a larger residence I’d be charging more as it takes more time and fuel. Remember that time can always be used doing someone else's lawn.Don’t get discouraged if they say no, you can ask the next house. I’d be aiming for mowing on set days that are easiest for you (days you don't have homework, sporting commitments etc)I’d be charging $20 for half an hours work, I believe in that time you can achieve mowing the nature strip, front and back yard. If they just wanted the nature stip mowed $10 (obviously charge less).If you started working at 9am and finished at 2pm. Lets say it takes you half an hour for each job. You should make $200 after 5 hours of work.Even after you get your computer, keep working this job to allow for your next computer or things you’ll want to buy.
