Does anyone watch DVD commentaries? Why or why not?
You are right, commentaries are often a very tedious way to get a few tidbits of interesting information about a film. However, the best commentaries are like having the opportunity to screen a film with witty and smart friends who also happen to be the filmmakers or stars. So the way to enjoy commentaries, and to understand how others enjoy them, is to pick good ones. One aide to finding worthwhile commentaries is this website: http://www.ratethatcommentary.co... . A bad commentary is just the director or whoever saying "nice lighting in this shot" for two hours. A good commentary can be a way to put what you've seen into historical, technical, and artistic perspective. Aside: Back when I still had a cassette deck in the car, I'd often watch a movie and then record the commentary track overnight onto a cassette to listen to during my commute. In most cases the memory of the film is fresh enough and there are enough audio cues from the soundtrack leaking in that you don't miss the visuals. Ironically this is somewhat more difficult in the digital age, but I believe there are DVD ripping tools that will extract a selected audio track as an MP3.
My dell inspiron 1525 laptop's cd/dvd rom drive came out. it works when put back in but it doesnt show up in..?
Playing medieval 2 total war is not an emergency. Anyway, First try Take the power supply adapter cord out of the laptop. Remove the battery. Make sure the screw that hold the CD ROM in is removed. Push the CD ROM in place and reinstall the screw. Let it sit for about an hour with no power. Replace the battery and power cord Test it out. Second try Take the power supply adapter cord out of the laptop. Remove the battery. Remove the CMOS battery Let it sit for about an hour with no power. Replace the battery and power cord Test it out. Still no luck? See if it shows up in the BIOS. No? You either destroyed the CD ROM or damaged the system board. How do I transfer pictures FROM a DVD onto my computer?
Download VLC media player free from their website. Then you play the DVD, pause it during a picture, rightclick then click snapshot. Then you have the pictures. Hope this helps!

How can i ruin a dvd without being obvious?
Being the bigger person isn't an option because he won't bat an eye when I leave. All he cares about are his money and possessions (that he aquired from sponging off of me) I will not take any of "his" things, but I will make sure what remains is rendered useless. Let someone call you a waste of space, hit you, and throw in your face he has been cheating on you with a 19 year old girl and see how big of a person YOU can be.
