POKEMON Heart Gold/Soul Silver or Black/White?
I really liked Heart Gold/Soul Silver because it's pretty much two games in one. Not only can you explore the Johto region, but the Kanto region too. Once you earn all 8 of your badges and defeat the Elite Four in Johto, you unlock the National Pokedex, go to Kanto and challenge those 8 gym leaders. After that, you can challenge Red, the toughest trainer in all of the games and Champion of Johto and Kanto. You also get the chance to catch a LOT of legendaries: The 3 legendary dogs of Johto: Raikou, Entei, Suicune The 3 legendary birds of Kanto: Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos Johto's Ho-Oh and Lugia Mewtwo (in Cerulean Cave) And I might even be forgetting some. Another cool little feature only in these games is that your Pokemon can walk with you. You can interact with them and they can even find hidden items for you. OH! Almost forgot. Once you have defeated Red, you can choose from one of the 3 starters from Kanto (Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander) and one of three starters from Hoenn (Treecko, Mudkip, or Torchic). So, basically, you have the chance to get lots of great Pokemon that you can't get in many other games! As for Black and White, it's entirely different Pokemon from a new region, and so far I haven't heard anything about old Pokemon being in the region AT ALL. While Black and White seems cool from what I've played of it, I honestly think I prefer HeartGold and SoulSilver.

I am looking to buy a new pokemon game and I am trying to decide between soulsilver or heartgold or White or black. Which one is better? what do you recommend?

Without a question, HeartGold/SoulSilver. They are a great remake of the original, and the original was outstanding. HeartGold is tied for my favorite pokemon game. You can catch most all legndaries, its a longer game due to the two maps, and is just fun. Lots of reasons why. Also bring backs great memories!

you do have access to both regions. Your pokemon team that you started with will not be taken away. You can however, get ONE of the starters from the kanto region after meeting a certain requirement. Can you battle pokemon black and white with heart gold and soul silver?
No, pokemon games can only be linked up for battling within their own Generation. Generation Reference: Gen I - Green(Japan Only)/Blue/Red/Yellow Gen II - Gold/Silver/Crystal Gen III - Ruby/Saphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen Gen IV - Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSil... Gen V - Black/White While Gen V can receive pokemon from Gen IV through PokeShifter, and Gen IV can receive Gen III through PalPark, you cannot use a game from one generation to battle with a game from a different generation. The reason is because the previous generations will not have the new pokemon/attack/power data that the new generation has and therefor cannot display it on their screen. The only way it may happen is if they make a new Stadium/Colliseum series game for the Wii that allows you to link up with games from Generation IV and V games, since both generations are on the same handheld, so far.

Yes, you need to use the Pokeshifter which is located at route 15. You can transfer any Pokemon from P/D/Platinum/HG/SS to Black and White using via Pokeshifter. Also you cannot transfer Pokemon that have a HM moves or held items.

Here my Reasons Why Pokemon Black and White Suxs and HeartGold & SoulSilver is millions times better and more fun than Black & White Version: 1. No rebattling Trainers and Gym Leaders 2. No Pokemon is Following you around like it in HeartGold or SoulSilver Version 3. Games get boring after you beat the Main Story besides Wifi & Dream World 4. Theres more to do after beat the main Story of HeartGold & SoulSilver For an eample: Bug Catching Contest 5. You can only go to one region and collect only 8 badges but in HeartGold & SoulSilver you can collect more than 8 badges and also you can also go to another region to face more gym leaders and trainers 6. Black & White doesn't have the Battle Frontier but HeartGold & SoulSilver Does 7. The Rivals in Black & White Sucks and Silver or Gary AKA Blue is much better rivals than Cheren & Bianca 8. You can battle Red at Mt.Silver in HeartGold & SoulSilver Version 9. The Pokemon in Pokemon Black & White Sucks and nothing beats the Originals Pokemon 10. GameFreak that Makes the Pokemon Games lost Ideas for The Pokemon Names and Design so they reused there ones they made. The False Swiping will leave Groundon with 1 health then the status move will also stop it from attacking and make it easier to catch.Use a Pokeball over and over till you catch him.
