Should I Buy Rims From Sears

Buying Rims and Winter Tires?

I need to get winter tires this year because my Jeep slid a lot last winter, (live in VT). I have been doing some pricing and they are expensive. Would it be alright to buy rims on craig' s list and then buy new winter tires at Sears (this would save me $200-$300) or do I buy everything from them? Should I even get rims or just change the tires?

Does sears sell yugioh cards?

no, best bet is local card shops now, like three years ago walmart probably would've had it.

Should I buy this "Free Spirit" bike for $65??

Both these bikes are department store bikes; aka poor quality. Free Spirit is Sears' brand, Roadmaster is K-Mart/Wal-Mart/Target. All components are low quality, meaning it will never roll real smooth. These steel wheels will all too easily go out of alignment needing "truing". Their original new in-store prices were $70-$90 or so. Look for a gently used bike shop quality bike when buying used (Trek, Giant, Specialized, and others), give it the once over looking for any wear, rust and cracking in the paint and frame, especially where the tubing meets. This could mean frame damage and an unsafe bike. Separately hold each end of the bike off the ground giving it a gentle spin to make sure the wheels run true (don't touch the wheels/rims). Look for any sidewall cracking or tread worn off the tires. And take it for a test ride, making sure it shifts through all the gears and that the brakes grip and release properly, with no squeal.

How long does it take to replace a wheel bearing?

How long does it take to replace a wheel bearing? To get to and replace a wheel bearing on one wheel on a car or light truck is probably less than a 1 hour job in most cases for someone who knows what they are doing and does this kind of work regularly. They will have the correct parts, the tools, the right lift, a well lighted and roomy place to work. All of his tools will be the correct tools for the job and he will know where all of his tools are.If he gets in there and finds damage to the hub, it will take longer. For one thing, he probably won’t have a new hub handy and will have to see if the local parts shop has one in stock. If they don’t, then they will have to get one from their warehouse, which could take a day if they have it in stock. Then more time, if they have to bring it in. If you have a common vehicle, the parts should be in stock at the distribution warehouse. Depending on where the vehicle is, this could take a day or two to come in. Faster parts availability if your car is in Chicago vs a little town in NW Montana.Even if there is damage to the hub, the extra time to replace the hub is minimal. The time to get parts could be days if the car is not common. A hub for a Ford Crown Victoria is going to be readily available in most places and could be overnighted to just about anywhere in the US. A hub for a 959 Porsche, a Ford GT, or a DeLorean is going to take longer to source.

How much will it cost me to change a rim?

If you already have another wheel, just go to your local tire shop, or even Sears, and they should be able to help you. cost will be around 20-35 bucks depending on the shop and if you get it balanced and a new valve stem put on. If you need a new wheel, they can be as cheap as 15 bucks just for the wheel from a salvage yard, or as much as 100-200 dollars depending on the brand/style of wheel.

Scratched my rims on a curb?

I scratched my rims on a curb just a few minutes ago and hate what happened... The entire edge its carved off and its all spikey now.
Can I repair it in any way? I just got the car less than a month ago and its really bringing me down.
If its unrepairable...do I have to get a new rim? or will the wheel/tire be fine

Where can I buy Polaris ranger bike in Fillmore street, SF?

If this is your budget, I think you would be better served by a used bicycle, purchased locally, ideally from a shop.  You should be able to get something of far better quality parts.  This should mean a better ride and better durability.  You will find more shops willing and able to service a quality bike than a Polaris (commonly sold at WalMart, Sears, KMart and other places not known for quality bicycles or competent assembly...which can lead to problems).  You can even test ride and compare.  Obviously a used bike should be checked out for bent frame or other major damage.  A shop can do this pretty cheaply, but I'll bet you have a capable friend. The Polaris trades off a few presumably good components "alloy rims" for steel bars and stem, frame and (odd sized) headset.  Whether it's a good trade or not is hard to tell.   And dual suspension.  Why?  A kids' bike for Fillmore Street?  Sure, lots of gears might be a good thing, and a wide gear range too. But hey, if it's your son's dream, who am I to intervene?  Whatever way you go, good luck.

Tire and Rim came off while driving?

So I was driving home from work yesterday, and my car(A 1998 Pontiac Trans Am) began to make this strange noise. It seemed to be coming from the front of the car, and I could actually 'feel' the noise through the gas pedal.
Mind you, I was driving about 20-30MPH with the emergency lights on because the sound got worse.
I'm a girl, so I don't know anything about this. I was planning on telling my dad after I got home, but my poor car never made it(well, it got towed to my house so I guess it did make it).

So, when I finally made this turn whenever I was at a light, all of the sudden there was this noise and impact on the right side. It happened so fast, I really can't describe it. I was like, crap!! My brother was riding with me, and I was like, let me see what happened. He got off too, but couldn't really open the door to his side.
I got off the car, and then noticed that there was something from the car on the road behind the car. At first I thought the tire had blown, so I looked at the passenger side and noticed that the whole rim and tire were not there. And my car had body damage...a part of it had been shattered and the rim and tire was no where to be seen. (This was at night)

Luckily, a Sheriff was at that same light a few moments later and as he made the turn in the direction of my car, he asked me what was wrong. Then it went off from there. I got my car towed to my house and I was angry.

I had just bought my car new tires about 3 weeks go at SEARS.
The sheriff said that I might look into telling them about this, as it seemed suspicious that after I had the new tires placed that this would happen. The lug nuts, except for one, were broken off.

The car slid quite-a-ways on the car wheel so now my car is really messed up now and my aunt thinks that repairs could go to $3,000 since the wheel was damaged. My aunt told me that it was leaking oil from somewhere now, probably due to the impact.

Should I get a lawyer for this?? Won't they(SEARS) have to repair all the damage done to my car? It was their fault, right?

PS Sorry for writing so much.
