Should I Call A Job Back That Called Me Help

The job that hired me hasn't called back yet?

If they desperately needed you to work, they would have called you already. Have they discussed with you how many hours a week work they have to offer you, and how much notice they will give you? You haven't said what kind of job this is or how badly you need it, but this is pretty poor form on their part and it's very reasonable that you're annoyed.

The onus is on them to call you now and tell you when your shift is. Don't call them anymore. They have your number. If they call you and only give you 2 hours notice, you have every right legally to tell them you're not available. If they don't call you at all today, go in tomorrow, ask them why they didn't call, ask them how often they need you to work and ask for that roster one week in advance. If they can't do that, I'd tell them that sorry, that won't suit, and ask them to destroy any personal/banking details they have.

Have you signed documentation to say you are starting and do you have a letter of offer from them? If not, legally, they can tell you they've changed their minds and don't need you when you talk to them. That's something to keep in mind. However, legally, they are obliged to give you decent and reasonable notice for any shifts you work so that you can be there. I'm not saying they're awful people - I agree, it sounds like it's just crazy busy - but letting you know about your shift is definitely not their priority right now. If you need regular money every week from employers who definitely need you every week, this may not be the job for you.

You don't know whats happened - maybe someone has died. Try to give them the benefit of the doubt for one shift, but if they do it again, I wouldn't work for them.

Job interview - "we'll call YOU back"?

Just because they said they will call you back doesn't mean they will call you back and it doesn't mean they won't call you back. Nowadays when it comes to those funky managers most of the time you will NEVER, EVER know. They majority of the hiring managers nowadays and full of it.

However to some degree you do have that feeling whether or not you will be hired for the job. I mean with my job I was told that HR will be in contact with me and they never called me back a few weeks later I got another call from another location that wanted to interview me. They interview me and they liked me. I had a feeling that they were going to hire me for some reason. With the first location I went to the lady said "I' sure HR will be in contact with you." I already knew what that meant. I wasn't getting the job and that was it. You never know. Just like they are exploring the possibilities you have to keep searching and explore the possibilities yourself.

You never know but don't stop looking. Remember what they do and what they say will show you exactly how they treat people.

Best Wishes!!

How to call back a missed call from lowe's for a job opportunity? help?

Lowe's called me yesterday and left a message I tried calling today but then give up when I realized it was a department, I tried to tell my mom to take me there tomorrow but she refused and told me that's dum I should only call, I'm not gonna call until tomorrow because its late and not a good time, when I call tomorrow what do I say will someone be able to help me, and I know the persons name who called! What to expect?

I called a job and put in an application 2 days ago. Should I call back and ask if they have seen my resume?

I wouldn't. Let a week pass to allow the company time to review your application. Chances are, they'll gather data for weeks before making a decision. If you have done something outstanding that directly correlates to the job you've applied for, but is not included in your application, then by all means, call up and ask if you can send them an updated copy of your res. It's a bit of a trick to get your application at the top of the pile and at top of mind. IMHO - the best way to get a job is to network with friends, family, and classmates, professors, and old co-workers who can personally recommend you the CEO or a Board Member of a company. Coming in from the top down is THE way to get hired. If the CEO personally hands your res to HR - believe me - you're at the top of the list.Best of luck,S

I’ve been on many job interviews but no one is calling me back, any idea on what I’m doing wrong during interviews?

You should ask this question to yourself first before asking in Quora. I mean you to think about the question and try getting questions. there are some questions that we must ask ourselves and you get to know answers yourself instead of wagely finding it outside directly. Even in industries i see many freshers or with less experience people they have the problem to ask it directly before trying to get the root cause of it. Alright lets come the answer.I want you to question yourself and something that you will start thinking aboutWhere exactly did i failed. What am i lacking at.Is it communication problem,Revise you answer and attitude by matching your answers on internet.I don’t know if you are from technical background or sales or management, but improve your skills. If technical then may be logical problem solving and targeting your weak area will help.try contacting seniors and asking for advice, obviously we are here but as per subject matters.review your resume, review your skills and make it look different from others like in software you can have good certificates on specific skills, Do mock interviews is you are weak in front of interviewer, get youtube sessions, earlier there was only news papers not you have whole world of data in Video as well. Right? make better use of it, join good groups on telegram.

I have no car, no job, and nobody is calling me back for work, and it's been months of trying, what can I do to level the playing field?

HiHere’s what you do manThrow out everything you know about getting a job, 99% of it is wrongThen become very active, very social, very open… for example, don’t ask anonymous questions on Quora, use your name create a LinkedIn and look at other people’s LinkedIns who are bombarded with job offersGo outside, go volunteer, all that time at home is wasted if you are not using it. Let everyone, friends, family, relatives know. Start a YouTube channel and post everyday about looking for a job, finding a job, etc.Level the playing field by using technology to spread your message around… not by spamming resumes. The goal is to get them to come to YOU not the other way around.Go outside, meet people, meet as many people as possible, go to as many conferences, meetups, social gatherings as possible… be someone who others want to work withGet a skill, any skill, that is in demand… JavaScript programming, welding, electrician, HVAC, hell even driving can do the trucking industry is dying for people ($70k+ / year jobs plus benefits for starter truckers right now)So yeah be a social butterfly… that is how you will find a job… if a guy can go on a street corner and beg for a job and get it, you can too. Of course he has skills.Homeless web developer made sign asking for job, not handouts, and the results were fantasticIf that isn’t your field or talent (tech) you can replicate the results somehow. People like hardworking, hard luck stories and in general people are good and will help. Finally if your field sucks, might be time for a change… people change “careers” 7 times in their lives. This could be the universe telling you, time for a change.Good luck.

I NEED A JOB BADLY AND NOBODY WILL CALL BACK?

No one has answered this in anyway to help you. I am 19 and have had a job since I was 16. I am going to let you in on the secret to getting the job (its a breeze, you just have to try a little) First, Apply online to the place. If it is a job with food, do NOT call between the hours of 12pm-2pm as well as 5pm-7pm (These are rush hours for food businesses) If it isnt a job with food, call anytime, but mornings preferred, and on a week day. This is when someone in charge of employment will be around. When you call the place, ask them "could I speak to a manager please" if they ask why, say "I'm inquiring about employment." once the manager is on the phone this is when you say "Hi, my names --- I saw you guys were hiring and I had applied online. I was hoping you could review my application" boom. if you dont here back within days, a week tops. do this with every job youve applied to good luck!

Why are no jobs calling me back?

I applied to maybe 18 places within the last month. I have a great resume, i went to ALL the stores and asked for aplication and ALL told me to do it online.

I did.....
A month later haven't heard back from ANY. So should i do something like go up their and beg for a job? Please i need help, im 17 .

Most places i applied to said they were hiring. I know people like doing this crap online but is there a way i can make them notice me? I need a job and nobody is hiring even though they say they are. these are fast food resteraunts and places where teens work.

Please hlp

Employer said he will call me back but didn't?

I truly believe I got the job. The boss of three restaurants didn't explicitly tell me I was hired, but he told me what to wear to work, the salary, to memorize the menu, and he gave me a free meal before I left. He also said he will call me SUNDAY to tell me my SCHEDULE, when I asked when to expect the call. He needs to figure out my schedule based on the days I'm free (I'm in college). When I called in the morning today, his son picked up and said that the boss will call me back "later...today." But I haven't received a call yet. Ever since the boss met with me, the "help wanted" sign is gone. What can be happening? I don't want to keep calling, because it can get annoying. I really need this job. Please help.
