Should I Change The Spelling Of My Name

Should I change my name’s spelling?

It depends. Do it if it makes you feel more confident or happy with yourself. My legal name is still Yoo Ri Kim because that’s how my parents wrote it when we came to the States in 2008 and although the spelling is not different, the R is capitalized and there is a space in between Yoo and Ri. My first name is Yoori not Yoo, but on my records such as for school or healthcare, my name shows up as Yoo Kim because people assume that Ri is my middle name due to the space. I always hated that, but now that I’m finally a US citizen I will able to change it soon.

Should I change the spelling of my first name..?

My first name is 'Mikala'. I loved how different it was when I was younger, but now I am thinking about changing it to 'Michaela'. I'm tired of spelling it, but the main reason I want to change it is because it just feels silly to me now. I don't like to put it on my CV and especially now that I'm married, I just think it looks worse after 'Mrs'. When I started a new job, a colleague told me she had a totally different picture of who a 'Mikala' might be, and it wasn't flattering... However, my family are really against me changing it because they feel it's a part of who I am, but I really think most people would suggest changing it. What do you think? Thank you :)

Should I Change The Spelling Of My Son's Name From Acelyn to Acelin?

I prefer Acelyn on a girl, and Acelin on a boy. The 'lyn' in Acelyn reminds me of 'Lynn', which I see is mostly used on girls.

Either way, the name Acelyn/Acelin is a cute boy's name!

Hope this helps! xo

Should I change my lastname's spelling?

Are there officially accepted Turkish substitute letters? I know someone who, living in Germany, spells his name Oeztuerk in his mail address, since oe and ue are legally regarded as equivalent to ö und ü here. I believe genuine Turkish Turks would simply spell o and u, and your name would be written Cakir (I infer this from Facebook and Whatsapp postings, so ...). Spelling you name right on American pure ASCII keyboards is probably the bigger issue. My wife came in trouble when my name came spelled with a capital dotted I on Turkish forms. This is the correct pronunciation, and thus my name ... except to German officials who insisted that this name can't possible be identical with the name in my passport and doesn't indicate she is married to me. So get this cleared in time. The expected pronunciation of your name may change with a new spelling. As to pronunciation, you can always tell the people you meet in person, and some will show an aptitude and willingness to learn. My guess is most people's approximation will be something like "Chucker" or at best "Chuckarr". I have never seen the names of the Ertegüns of Atlantic Records with an ü, and I have never seen Bülent Arel's name (of the Princeton-Columbia Computer Music Center) without it -- and I'm sure their names were pronounced (in Turkish spellings) Ertegun and Byulent, even though the closest approximation in English would have been Ertegin and Bilent, but they were public figures whose names would be familiar in print to many people who never met them. Until you are famous, I would rely on telling people what it sounds like originally.

Why do people tend to change the spelling of their name? What impact does this have?

Some people do it out of superstition, as some astrologer/parapsychologist suggests that changing name spelling will change the fortune, as positive vibes will be infused etc. etc.I personally do not believe that changing spelling of your name can bring fortune, but those who believe, may have been benefitted/may not have been, but some people are just overtly pious to do such things, but such ideas are illogical.

How can I change the spelling of my name from the class 10th marksheet?

There may be two ways in your caseFirst one : if your name’s spelling is incorrect right from school than you need to follow this way.——-You need to go to the collector ‘s office of your respective city and get an application for the issue.. Then you need to give an advertisement in a newspaper stating that you have changed the spelling of your nameExample: from Rajoo sharma to Raju sharma..But this procedure will take 2–3 monthsSecond case: if your names spelling was correct till 10th standard and it only got changed on the 10th class's report card then its simple—- you just need to go to the board office with leaving certificate and other docuements which serve as a prove to you name’s spelling and will simply give you a new one with correct name..Plz let me know if its helpfull...
