Should I Get A Salad Or A Sandwhich From Subway

What are Subway's healthiest sandwiches?

Subway is my “go-to” restaurant anytime I’m away from home and need a quick lunch that completes the impossible triangle: Good, Fast, and Cheap. However, Subway is not without its pitfalls. Although they have myriad healthful options, they also have quite a few gut-bombs that’ll set you back half a day’s calories (and an entire day’s worth of fat & sodium). If you’re not careful on some of your choices, it’s easy to double the fat and calories in your sandwich… without adding any extra nutrition (or all that much flavor). Also, don’t fall for the “Health Halo” that Subway proudly flaunts: People are likely to consume more calories at Subway than McDonald’s.Some General GuidelinesGet a 6″ sandwich (or salad!). The Footlong sandwiches, unless you get the Veggie DeLite® without cheese, start at 540 calories and can have 2400mg of sodium — a whole day’s worth.Don’t be fooled by the “6 grams of fat or less” menu. Although the healthiest choices are indeed on that menu, some of those options are crazy-high in sodium, and officially none of them include cheese (that’s how they keep the fat content so low) — and my experience is that just about everyone adds cheese.Skip the soda (and get a free cup of water). They also have fresh-brewed iced teas, though make sure to get the unsweetened one.Skip the chips. Get a Bag Of Apples instead, raisins, or perhaps a yogurt. They cost the same as the chips, and Subway includes them in the “combo” meal pricing (if you insist on getting that soda).Watch the Sauce — or you’ll add hundreds of calories without even realizing it.Load up the Veggies — all of the veggies are low-cal and nutritious. If you’re watching sodium, though, consider skipping the pickles (125mg in 3 chips) and jalapeños (70mg in 3 rings).Swap out Iceberg for Spinach — It seems most locations now offer Spinach as an option. Get that instead of the shredded Iceberg Lettuce. You get a similar crunch (and a better taste, in my opinion), and some bonus nutrients. (Spinach is one of the healthiest leafy greens, and iceberg is one of the least).our recommendation for healthy nutrition KIND PLUS, Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein, Gluten Free Bars, 1.4 Ounce, 12 Count: Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food please upvote if helpful

What is Subway policy for salad dosage?

Benjamin is correct.  There is a standard formula for each item, but whenever a customer requests a variation from the formula, any properly trained artist, is to accommodate.  Olives are typically the culprit in the complaints over portioning, but I can see where jalapenos could be as well.  Ben was also correct about the franchisee's part in things.  Some franchisee's will charge for extra vegetables, others will not, etc ...  Since there is no corporate store or mandate on how to accommodate these situations, it can very from location to location depending upon the franchisee..

How do Subway Salads Work?

You choose any of the regular subway sandwiches (meat and cheese). Then you choose lettuce or spinach or both, then you have the choice of tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, bell peppers, onion, olives, banana peppers, jalapenos. Depending on the store you may also be able to choose from cilantro, carrots, and feta cheese. Then you choose from any of their dressings (lite mayo, mustard, oil & vinegar, chipotle southwest, honey mustard, sweet onion, ranch, red wine vinaigrette, bbq sauce, lite ranch, spicy mustard. They have ranch, italian, and oil&vinegar packets if you want your dressing on the side. They cost the same as the footlong sub that you chose as your meat. You get croutons with it too!

What goes good on a tuna sandwich from subway?

I always get tuna on the cheese bread with lettuce and black olives and sometimes with bacon... although thats not too healthy.

Can you get a subway sandwich without meat?

They have a vegetable sub or if you eat fish they have tuna fish. There is a subway that is near me that serves vegetarian "meat" because there is a large vegetarian population in the area.

Is it okay to eat a subway tuna sandwich, a day later?

The sandwich may be a little bit soggy, but it should still be edible, especially if it's been refrigerated. Also, certain condiments that you may have added to it, like peppers or olives, will have developed a stronger taste in the sandwich, or lettuce which may have gotten soggy. Eat up though! Don't waste a sandwich! It definitely will not be hazardous to your health, even if ti's been left out.

What is the best stuff to put on the subway tuna sandwich?

A2A On a Subway tuna sandwich I would add lettuce, mayonnaise, pickles, tomatoes and olives. Each person has different tastes and that would be my choices.
