Should I Get My Aa In History

What minor should I take with History?

I'm currently in high school and I only have a couple years left until I graduate. I actually wanted to go towards journalism, but because of how it's become a dying field and has a fierce competition, I've decided to turn my focus towards history. Now, I know I may seem like I'm flip-flopping between what I want to do in the future, but I really think history is right for me. I am proficient in world geography and take great interest in many different countries and its past. I've got a few questions before I fully lock my decisions on history. What minor should I take with history? I'm thinking of a lot of different options right now, but I can't quite get a grasp on what minor I'd like to take with history, so I want to hear from you guys. Also, will there be a lot of job opportunities for me with a degree in History? Is it an extremely challenging course to take? Any ideas on how I should prepare for the course after high school? I've always been interested in history and I've wanted to learn more about the past so I can better know about the current events. I am currently taking History 12 as one of my courses in high school and I am in grade 11 and so far I'm enjoying it a lot. Please give me detailed answers because I am very concerned about my future.

Should i Get A History Decree?

Generally, all are thinking that those who are taking history majors are fit only for teaching posts. while agreeing this, there are more job opportunities for those who took history majors. please see
google.com/career information for history majors.

How do I find the History on my Computer

Click the search engine bar and start typing any word that you have in question. If any are sex sites, they will pop-up automatically. Second, you can go to start and click search, then all files and folders, type in offended words and a list will pop-up. With the dates as when visited along with the time.

Doing it this way, no one can delete any info unless have a computer degree, unlike the other mentioned checks, where people can delete the search results.

Where can I get a free car history report?

If its India you can take the car owner and go to the nearest authorized service station of that model. They have online records of all their cars. At least the service histories from day 1. If this is not available, then the car is a stolen one. This report is critical as it shows what the service engineer has recommended to be done on that car. Example, replace brake shoes. Then look at the work done receipt. (same place). If the brake shoes are not replaced within 2 services, then the car has been badly maintained. Obviously a true car enthusiast will not have anything to do with service stations. He will get it serviced and repaired independently. This is good. As long as he can produce all bills and receipts of the preceding years.

I have a BA in History. Should I get a post Bach in Electrical Engineering or get an MA in NAtional Security?

See your question is which branch is extra sturdy then i supplies you sparkling decrease answer that that's Mechanical branch. that's wisely customary for the harsh topics like mechanics, fluid mechanics, vibration and so on. yet again electric powered egg isn't straightforward yet a lot less extra sturdy than Mechanicals. i supplies you a sugession the following if at the prompt are not a arduous individual then there no want to opt for fop Mech because it needs labour and your degree will be a lot less valued once you've a lot backlogs (fails). yet i imagine placement smart MECH is the perfect and in case you may stay with ~sixty 5% (that's a score that maximum sudents can preserve in mechnicals) then opt for it your labour for 4 years pays on your total life! sturdy success

When do you capitalize "History"?

no, you don't capitalize it in this instance.

If you're talking about History as a proper noun, however (basically, if you can substitute someone else's name and it sounds fine grammatically), you can capitalize it, but you don't have to.

Good way to think of it is to rephrase the two given statements:

"Important in HARRY because..." doesn't quite make sense

"If you're talking about HARRY as a proper noun..." is grammatically correct.

Make sense?

Is it worth getting a PhD in history?

My general requirements for "is it worth getting a PhD?". This should apply for essentially all PhD programs, regardless of field. Getting a PhD requires:Intense individual effort for 5-7 years on problems that no one knows the answer to or in some cases even know whether it is answerable. It can be incredibly frustrating, lonely, and generally tiring. You are doing this for 50-60 hours a week, for minimal pay (<= 30k a year). You are competing with some of the smartest people in the world working on very similar things to you, so getting a bit of impostor syndrome / depression is common. Unless you are in an engineering discipline (maybe business as well?), your job prospects in your field after graduation are bad, and your odds of getting a good tenure-track university research position - if you don't hate research by the end of your PhD - are terrible. If you are in a field where you can get funded for research, your odds of getting funded are quite bad as well. Unless you are a superstar, you will be moving every few years after you graduate, most likely to tiny college towns as you bounce between 1-2 year contracts for postdocs. At the end of your PhD, you become the world's expert in a topic that you realize less than 1000 people in the world actually understand, much less care about. To combat this, you have your passion, your energy, your curiosity. You need to be interested enough in your subject that you are willing to risk losing a decade of earning potential and industry resume-building to pursue it. You need to be good at asking answerable questions, patient enough to deal with the ups and downs of the research process, and incredibly self-motivated. In reward for all this, you get unparalleled intellectual freedom. Note that many people do develop useful skills during their PhDs, and successfully manage to transition into industry jobs with varying degrees of relatedness to their dissertation. However, to do this successfully, you need to enter the PhD program with an industry career goal in mind and tailor your PhD experience to acquiring the skills necessary to meet that goal. I am starting my 5th year in a PhD program. I thought the trade-off was worth it when I started, and I still do. I am, however, building enough practical skills to hopefully be able to get an industry job when I eventually get kicked out of the academic rat race.A useful graphic:Which is Right for You?Good luck!

I want to major in History. Can I get a brutally honest opinion on this major?

I have read and scanned the other responses, and they are all correct! In my case there was a strategic purpose in my major concentration, so the employment issue was—for the time being—perfectly obvious. I believe that a serious study of other nations and regions has “strategic” value today. It sort of depends on what you want to actually do in life. I was headed into the Navy for the better part of a decade, so my major could have been salient in my duty assignments.I think there are two things you would want to develop alongside the welter of historical facts and opinions about whatever history interests you. They are: an excellent command of written English (or your native language), and facility in a the foreign languages pertinent to your studies. Do not deceive yourself into thinking that foreign language proficiency can be put off until graduate school. It just cannot. I studied Russian, German, and French.Understand that history, so far, has been a study of the winners and the prominent characters. This is the easy way to organize vast troves of facts. There are stories out there that need to be told about people and nations who are not, or do not seem to be, winners. Social history is very interesting. You could become an internationally syndicated columnist with the right approach to how technology has been accepted by the mass of people, for instance, or what kinds of movies and plays, operas, dances have appealed to segments of the population. One of the respondents said that expensive college level instruction is not necessary to become an historian. Having already said that all the responses are correct, I have say this one notion is deceptive. Yes, you could read history books over your whole lifetime and still not be counted an historian. You need the counsel of historians about method, about bias, about exposition, about criticism, about sources and how to unearth them. You could, conceivably, learn these things by yourself, but if you want an intensive education, major in history at a college with a notable history faculty and save yourself years of wasted effort.

Should I get my AA first and THEN join the Army?

Community college is very affordable. You could work towards your AA before you enlist. It would give you a couple of year's maturity when you do ship out to Basic Training. And it would guarantee that you have enough GI Bill to cover the rest of your degree when you get out (GI Bill is only four years of college.) An added bonus in my mind, you don't have to be an underage soldier stuck in the barracks while the guys a couple of years older than you get to go partying. Or worse, an underage soldier who breaks the rules and gets demoted and extra duty.

That's just my take. I was 21 when I shipped out to Basic Training, and had just finished my Bachelor's Degree.

What is the best way to stop drinking without going to AA?

If you’re struggling with drinking, AA is no longer the only house on the block. There are many different options for support, guidance, and help. There are alternative support groups to AA: Yoga of 12 Step Recovery, Refuge Recovery (buddhist/meditation support group), LifeRing (secular recovery), Smart Recovery (you don’t have to go for your whole life), and my company does our own Workit Together Recovery meetings, online and at both of our offices, focused on self-care. If none of these options sound good to you, you can build the recovery community you feel is lacking in the world. Many folks get sober using therapy. There are sober coaches, counselors, and psychologists out there happy to support you on your recovery journey. Seeing a psychiatrist doesn’t hurt either, if you feel like you have underlying anxiety or depression you are managing with alcohol. There are also online programs to treat addiction and alcoholism. My company, Workit Health, has an online, science-backed program to help you beat alcoholism, all from your computer or phone. Whether or not you do 12-step along with it is up to you.Medication is currently used to treat alcoholism as well. While none of it is a magic bullet (if any was, we’d all be on it!), if you aren’t interested in 12-step meetings and are seeking a different solution, there’s no reason you can’t look into some sort of medication: Antabuse, Naltrexone, Campral, and Topomax are all used in treating alcoholism.A big brain boost to battle the brain disease of alcoholism is exercise. This isn’t talked about in 12-step much but it’s a life-saver. Exercise will get your endorphins pumping, reduce cravings, and make you feel better.A main reason 12-step works (in my opinion) is it sets you up with a new social scene, full of folks just like yourself. The value of this can’t be minimized. If you choose to forgo AA, it’s important to consider your current social scene and whether or not you’d like to change that. If you need sober friends and don’t do support groups, We are what we do | Meetup has great local activities that will allow you to get out of the bars and meet people in positive environments.Recovery from alcoholism or addiction is a personal journey, and no two people’s paths will look similar. For many years, we sent folks to 30 day inpatient treatment or told them to go to AA. But there are other options, and we’re beginning to realize that those other options work.
