Should I sell my Mac mini?

It's totally up to you. If you are looking for the new one, or if your Mac mini is not working perfectly, or you've got any other problems with your device, then you can decide to sell your Mac mini. There is no reason to keep a costly device like Apple's devices that you are not using anymore. There are many different marketplaces, locally or online, where you can sell your device. As I've experienced ever, you can try MacBack.US, one of the most reliable and quicker online platforms to sell your devices. Should I buy a Mac Mini?

I have never owned a Mac computer before but I have heard good things about them. I want a Mac computer but I don't want to spend $1500 on a computer. Is the Mac Mini a good buy for a beginning Mac computer? What are some of the best and worst aspects of owning a Mac?

Why isn't there a pc like mac mini?

Your best bet is the new Intel NUC which is set to release this Q3 2012. At only 4 inches (about the size of a standard smartphone), the NUC comes equipped with an i3, 4GB RAM, 40GB SSD, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, bluetooth, 3 USB 2.0 ports and 2 HDMI ports at the price of around $400. Variations include Intel i5/i7 processors, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt ports.

How can I break my mac mini?

This may sound really bad and mean but bear with me. Back in '07 my father helped me buy a mac mini (I payed $200). It has worked great ever since until recently. It is very slow and sluggish and last year it was giving me reports that it had trouble reading the hard drive (it has stopped). It still works fine though (the sluggish parts only happen every so often). Even though I'm 17, my father still has "administrative power" on the computer. this means it's basically useless to me since I can only use whats on it and not install anything or even update the software on it. It gets really annoying having to keep asking him to do all this stuff when I could do it on my own and he's so stubborn he won't let me be administrator ( I don't even know why). Anyways, I need to know how I can make it look like the Computer died (its a a**hole move, I know) so my parents will let me use the money I have saved up to buy a new one. Any suggestions?

I was wondering if maybe putting it in the microwave for 5 seconds would fry its insides.

Why should I buy a Mac mini?

To simply answer the question - Is it worth buying a Mac Mini? Yes, it is. Still, you have to consider the following:Can you wait to save for a MacBook Pro? It's current entry level price tag is US$1,099 (non-retina). Which, compared to the US$499 for the Mac Mini makes for US$600 difference (Mac Compare - Apple).Do you have a monitor, keyboard and a mouse? With a Mac Mini you have to have these, purchased separately. If you can fit way under US$600, then the total for a Mac Mini would be your cheaper option.Do I need to be mobile? A Mac Mini is a desktop computer, whereas the laptop can be either used as a desktop or mobile computer. Do I want to upgrade my computer by myself (the disk drive or memory)? You can only do upgrades by yourself with the Mac Mini. How much memory do I need? The entry level MacBook Pro, mentioned above, allows for up to 8GB or memory, compared to 16GB for the entry level Mac Mini. The next model up MacBook Pro (retina) is on par with the Mac Mini. Keep in mind that this maximum memory has to be purchased separately (between US$100 and US$300).Do I need a built-in camera? The Mac Mini doesn't come with a monitor, nor camera.Do I need a DVD drive? Only the above mentioned MacBook Pro comes with a built-in DVD drive. The later models don't include one. From personal experience - I prefer the MacBook Pro. Before that I've used only Mac Minis and still do. I've got a Mini on my desk at home and a MacBook Pro at work that I work on, but sometimes carry home, use on the bus, in the park and so on.Good luck.

Mac mini or 2010 macbook pro?

I would personally go with a 2012 Mac Mini or if he wants a laptop a 2011 Macbook Pro. In 2011 all of the consumer macs got upgraded to a new processor that was 2X faster than the previous version that all 2010 models had. The Mac Mini will be faster as well especially if you get the 2012 $800 one. The $800 one has a quad-core processor which basically means its twice as fast as the $600 one. So if you get a 2012 Mac mini ($800) instead of a 2010 Macbook then the computer will be about 4X faster in general I believe. Also, no matter what computer you get suggest upgrading the RAM to him. Don't have apple do it, its overpriced and easy to do on your own and really helps the computer handle apps better. I recently got my first Mac and am loving it. Good luck!

One last thing I thought of: If you think he will only use the computer for internet, e-mail and light photo/video editing then the 2010 or 2011 Macbook would be more than enough but if he uses photoshop or Final Cut Pro or games on the computer at all then I would recommend the Mac Mini (If he mostly games on the computer a lot go for a Windows computer by the way)

Is the Mac mini worth the $600?

My friend and I were talking and he said I should get a Mac mini but I was wondering if it is worth spending $600 on it. Also is it good for gaming cuz me and my friend like to play minecraft on the PC and would the Mac mini be good for that. Also if u use some computer terms can u please explain what some of them are like RAM or what GHZ is?

Can you connect a Mac mini PC to a normal monitor?

Yes, depending on the model it either has a DVI port on the rear or an HDMI port or an HDMI port and one or two Thunderbolt / Mini DisplayPort ports. The old Mac minis that are white on top and silver around the sides all have DVI on them. The new Mac minis that are the silver unibody enclosure with a black Apple logo on top all have HDMI.
