Should I Get The Tattoo Anyway

Is there anyway to get a tattoo underage in the UK? I am currently 17 years old and really want a good tattoo as soon as possible, is there any way of getting a good one without being 18 years old? (And please don't tell me to wait until 18.)

The very fact that you want it now and don't want to wait a few months means you aren't ready. Some of the best artists have waiting lists so even middle-aged adults have to wait for their ink.Professional artists work at studios that are licenced, they invest in good quality equipment, needles, tattoo machines, autoclaves, high quality (long lasting) inks, the artists are also licenced themselves. They provide ointment for aftercare and provide care instructions. They have been apprenticed before they are allowed to work on paying customers.Or you could go to a scratcher if you really can't wait. They work out of their kitchens and are unlicensed. They haven't been apprenticed or they didn't last in an apprenticeship. They don't know or care about aftercare, they aren't bothered about repeat business because there will always be plenty of impatient underage people beating a path to their door so they take less care, they use cheap needles and probably don't clean their equipment properly so you're more likely to get infected, they use the cheapest inks. Oh, and very often they can't draw for toffee. But at least when you are 18 you'll be able to go to a proper studio to get a cover up if you can't afford to get it lasered off.

Is there anyway to get a tattoo shop closed down?

That happens all over. There's a shop here that advertises on the alt rock station that uses crap jewelry and has low prices. 9 out of 10 ppl get infections from that place. You close one down, and another opens.
It's up to the person who's getting the work done to do a little research and go to a reputable shop. Let the customers decide. Word of mouth is your best bet.

Just maintain your shops standards and people will chose yours over theirs.

Spread the word via the internet about the grade of jewelry you use etc.
without dragging down the other shop. They'll tumble on their own.

Is there anyway that you can get a tattoo before you turn 18??

Without your parents letting you?
lol

I'm about to be 17, but my parents don't like tattoos at ALL!
I really want a pair of Angel wings (Tiny. Like maybe a lil bigger than
a quarter) on the back of my left hip.

I have a reason for why I want a pair of angel wings..
And my mom likes the idea, but the only reason that she doesn't want
me to is bc she says that in the bible it says not to.
(Which it does. I've read it before. But I still really want one.)

Is it possible to get one under 18 without your parents letting you?

What can I turn this tattoo into?

Sorry about the shitty quality and angle. The tattoo is at an awkward angle so taking a good picture was hard. Anyway I have an appointment at a tattoo shop coming up and I would like to incorporate this into something new but I don’t know what it should be. Anything that isn’t mountains or an arrow is a welcome idea :) thank you!

How bad does it hurt to get a tattoo on your ankle?

I am a bit sensitive and I've never had a tattoo before, but I want to get one, maybe a heart or star there, but small. I don't know my pain tolerance since I haven't had one before, but I thought getting a shot would hurt bad, and when I got it, it didn't hurt much, although it was on my shoulder.
Anyway, I was wondering how bad it would hurt to get a small one?

Can I get a tattoo while I'm on ORAL antibiotics?

If you are on oral antibiotics, I guess that you may be unhealthy at the moment. Since your immune system is suppressed, it is better to wait until you get better before getting that tattoo. Anyway, you can apply a topical antibiotic or consume an oral antibiotic during the healing of a tattoo.

Can i get a tattoo while on a blood thinner?

It all depends on the reason you take blood thinners. It is not advisable to be tattooed while you are taking blood thinners, but with your doctor's OK, you may be able to stop taking the medication for 4-5 days before getting tattooed. You can safely begin taking it again 24 hours after receiving the tattoo. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor first. If you are at a high risk for a heart attack or stroke, even a few days off the Lovenox could be dangerous. Most reputable artists will not tattoo you while you are taking blood thinners, and it would be irresponsible for you not to tell the artist for the sake of getting the tattoo anyway.

And I would not recommend using any kind of topical anesthetic to control the bleeding. Not only is it's effectiveness unpredictable, but it increases your risk of side effects and allergic reaction.
