Should I Get White Or Red Contacts

Colored contacts on a black girl?

Whoops...I answered and realized I was on a different name!

I wear DARK green contacts sometimes and I always get compliments. Usually, if we're chatting and someone says they're pretty, I'll say, "Oh, they're contacts." (I so do not know how to take a compliment, but it seems even worse to say thank you when they're contacts).
Anyway, I had the same issue as you. In high school, I wanted green contacts. Some of the white girls had green, blue, hazel, and even amethyst. But other black people kept telling me not to do it b/c I'm black and it'll look crazy. There are black people with hazel/green eyes (like my 1st cousin)! I don't let anything in life hold me back, especially race. So, to me, that was just bogus. Why should I let other people have all the fun? Paris Hilton wears blue contacts and no one says boo to her about it. Anyway, I got the contacts and a few years later, I still love them. I only wear them every once in a while and I usually don't wear them in the summer b/c I always get really dark. Again, I'm so not going to be the black girl staying out of the sun. I wanna go to the beach and get on the boat, too!
On a side note: I got the DARK green ones b/c they're the most subtle (sometimes my mom doesn't even notice I have them in). I gave the hazel ones to my (then) blue-eyed boyfriend b/c he liked them for himself. I tried gray (when I looked in the mirror, I yelled, "Agh!", hazel (aka yellow), and hazel/green (aka yellow and green scribble). I even tried Eden...which looked like fly eyes. :no:no: The dark green colorblends are the only ones that work for me. Looks awesome with eyeliner and a great mascara (like DiorShow Blackout). It's smokin'

Where can I get white contacts?

I live in Hurst, Texas and I'm trying to find white contact lenses for Halloween. I don't get paid until Friday, and my party is Saturday so I can't buy them online since I won't have time for them to get here. Does anyone know where I can get white contacts without ordering them online? Like local stores or something? Thanks.

Do colored contacts make your eyes pop?

I think that for the most part they are a waste of good money. I have a friend who gets blue ones (I think his eyes are actually brown) and I never noticed until he told me and I've known him for about 10 years (he didn't always have them either). So I guess what I'm saying is that they really aren't very noticeable, especially if you are just getting ones that are similar to your eye color. Just stick to what God gave you. Unless you get something ridiculously noticeable like all black eyes or red white and blue ones (they do make them) it's not going to make much difference.

How do you get rid of the white spots on your contacts?

THose white spots are protein deposits that CANNOT be washed or cleaned off. Protein mucin and lipid deposits are the biggest soilants for soft contact lenses. Once they take hold in the lens matrix, they are essentially absorbed and are permanently binded in the plastic. Time for new lenses.

Can you wear colored contacts over prescription contacts?

Hi, before to know the answer you should know about the relationship between Contact lens and eye(cornea/the black portion). The black portion or the eye called cornea, where you are putting lens on it. It doesn't have any blood vessels, it is survived by oxygen from outside and tears with in the eye.So just imagine, already you wore prescription CL's that means partially you blocked the oxygen supply to the cornea. If you wear colored CL's over the Prescription CL's the oxygen supply to cornea will becomes too low and it leads to severe dryness and some other infections. It is better to ask your Eye practioner/optometrist about power Colored CL's. So it will be very simple and safe of wearing single CL's rather than Wearing Two Two CL's.Hope you understand.

Would I get into trouble for wearing colored contacts to school?

I'm not sure it is OK to be routinely wearing those novelty contacts all day every day.

Also, you could probably get away with ordinary colored contacts (I suspect the average teacher doesn't memorize the eye color of every student nor does he/she do eye inspections looking or unauthorized contacts). But the ones you are talking about would be pretty obvious and most schools handbooks mention they can forbid anything that might be unsafe, be a distraction or interfere with the learning process. This rule covers all the weird things kids might do that are not specifically mentioned in the other rules. For example, your school probably does not specifically have a written rule stating that it is forbidden to bring an elephant to school but if you did bring an elephant, they would invoke this rule. As for the lenses, they might ignore it, at worst, they would tell you to take them out.
