Should I Keep Two Jobs

How can u work two jobs and still be broke?

Well The government now days are pretty greedy. They need more money to finance the supply for the wars that Bush is pushing his hardest. For example He say's " The gas prices are going up because we need money to supply the troops." I can understand that part but raising gas is not necessary. For other Bills like electric,Cellphone bills and water bills. They are pretty outragous too, Those things could be a lot cheaper but the greedy people who run it want the money. Also doesn't it state in one of the laws that the cost of surviving is free , like Food and water? Then why do they charge money for them? So really your doing really well, your in College and still have time to work two jobs. I admire you, keep up the good work!

How long should I keep my part time job?

I've been working part time for the past 3 months while going to school. I'm looking for a second job for summer, but will have to leave after 2-3 months for school. When I get into my career and a potential employer looks at my resume and sees I've only held this second job for 2-3 months, I don't want him to think I'm a flake when it comes to long therm. How long is a good time?
PS: I am definitely still holding onto my current job right now

Can I do two jobs day and night?

Your current position-You are still 23.Your goal-Get rich before 30.Your Plan-Work twice the amount.Cost-Health, Social life, mental health, happiness and high probability of depression. My advice-You are still 23 and have a huge amount of time before you need that money in your account. The whole approach of working twice as hard is ridiculous, you need to work smart. Instead of working twice the amount why don't you get a job that pays twicce the amount.Same outcome, half the effort. Well currently you are in a position to do that by increasing your inherent value to your organisation, whichever you work for. The simplest way to do that is by broadening you skill set and at this age you have all the freedom to do so. Instead of wasting your time working, work to increase your skillset. You said you work for as a software engineer. Well do online courses that can incrase your skillset. Become a better programmer or get a new skill like data science. There are so many options available that can increase your value and in the long term benefit you way ,more than what you are currently doing. At the same time you will have time to live a healthy lifestyle even if you take 3-4 hours everyday after work to learn something.Seriously why would you take that second job now?

Would you be depressed if you had to work 2 jobs?

I am asking this question because I am working to jobs to support myself and to keep a roof over my head and its depressing. I rarely have much time for myself to hang out with friends and family. And because the cost of living is expensive here in Michigan, I have to work two jobs to support myself.

I've got two job offers. Which one do you think should I take?

Take a step back and put the question in the context of your *personal* career. You are a business of one, and your career is going to be with you for the rest of your life, whereas there is no such thing as a job for life. From the sounds of things you are building a career in software design & development, from that perspective it's a no-brainer.Doing work you enjoy is far more important than making a bit more money, even in these times. To address some of the other negatives in the list:+ You get to learn lots of stuff: in the IT industry, the more strings you have to your bow, the better. Always keep a strong core competence, but add as many other skills (especially if they'll pay for formal training) as you can.+ It's a start-up: there are a lot more start-ups in the world than established businesses, obviously. Having start-up experience is a bonus in the marketplace. It might fail, but that's OK, because it's just a job, not your career, your career will be a series of jobs over the years. As a start-up you will also be closer to the actual business side of things and will be able to see the kinds of decisions they make, how they react to the market, and the real hard edge of project management and finance. These are all things which it is good to get exposure to as early on in your career as you can. This is a good opportunity to network, too. CEOs of start-ups tend to stay at that level, either when their company becomes a success, or (more often) when they sell the business to a larger competitor and move on. Once you're there for a while, show your savvy and ask what their M&A strategy is (study it a little beforehand, so you know the terminology he's going to use). That way he'll know you're a realist about the world of business and may start to include you in more things.Exciting times for you ahead! Good luck!

Should I keep my current job or should I bail and find a new one?

These are what you can do within your control to help fix the problems:1. Understand the goal of the product and what it is supposed to be doing. 2. Teach the offshore team to use best coding practices and produce better result. You should try to visit and work with this offshore team in person for 1-3 months to do so.3. Schedule better time to meet.4. If your not able to do #2 and 3, you shoukd find a more capable offshore team with similar pricing and replace the current team with it. Go beyond India and China to find them. Try Indonesia, a bit more expensive and harder to find but often delivers better quality (e.g., IndoSystem.com, I acquired this team to help me build multiple innovative startups products as well as helping our Fortune 500 clients )If you are not able to do all of the above then you should help your company find your replacement and bail.

I have two jobs and going to school full time. How would you recommended doing school work and balancing work schedule?

You have a practical work schedule and school. This shows initiative and responsibility for your life in the expenses and common jobs. The higher the jobs are, the more you should put into them in effort and by way of receiving recommendations. Then your managers can refer you to another job, begin your career, or get your name and reputation among the hiring employers. If you are in school, it suggests you want a degree. And it will require courses and residence to get there, with faculty instruction and teaching, where you are responsible for paying for tuition. Where you have savings and earnings from your own work, that is your payment directly to tuition. And show responsibility for your expenses immediately, as compared to taking out a loan to repay back after a graduation. You really do need to decide how important the academics is to you, given that you hold and might develop two jobs. The academic record is like your employment record, subject to a manager and evaluation, and will show your past work to future managers or employers. The same applies to a transcript, where it records all your course work and residence at the university or a few universities if you study at more than one. It is the criteria used to make admissions decisions for future academic applications into a degree program, and will also be considered for all applicable courses for your graduation and giving you a degree.
