How would you describe the "Hall of Open Records" from the book "The Giver"?
I just finished reaading that book it was very interesting:) i guess its just a place were all the realeses & birth info was stored i guess, & well i would describe it as a place of high importance to the whole community since they based their whole lifes to pretty much that i guess. idk if that helped much bt i tried.(:
On the issue of open adoption records...?
I've said before that this is an issue I'm personally undecided on, but I would like to learn more about it. All snarkiness aside, I would like to hear the reasonings for opening adoption records, what exactly the information would include and why the adoptee's right to know should supercede the birthparent's rights to privacy. If you favor keeping adoption records closed, I would like to hear your rationale also. Thank you.
How bad is an open container charge on your record?
I got a minor in possession and i can either do AEP and get it taken off my record for about $750 or the court said i could settle and plead guilty for an open container charge and only pay $120 and it would go off my record in 3 years. What should I do? I don't really have the 750 bucks so im wondering how badly does an open container charge affect your record?

How do I start a record store?
Some thoughts:Work in a record store in your local area to determine if there is a market for another store or if investing in this existing one is a better bet.Begin saving money and/or looking for investors.Create a business planDecide if you are going also going to sell online or simply have a “brick and mortar” store. Or perhaps some combination of both.Start purchasing inventory. Contact record labels which still release vinyl recordings and let them know that you are interested in purchasing vinyl from them.Find a location if you are going to be brick and mortar that is close to where people would shop for your type of inventory. Obviously being located in a remote rural area wouldn’t work well. Around a college or in an up and coming neighborhood are usually good.Sit down and create advertising material and PR material at the same time. Send press releases to the major media outlets in your area. Craft the press releases so that they appear that you are bringing something new or unique to the local area rather than that you trying to sell them something. Start putting out fliers in local coffee shops and around the local college campus. If the rates are good, advertise in the local alternative paper.Place one or more ads online stating that you buy vinyl records.You might find that many people have a number of older records which they were left by relatives who have passed . Or they have records but they no longer have a player for them. You can close a number of great deals in this manner.Consider selling on Amazon/Ebay,etc. The competition on there is fierce; but if you are successful, you’ll often move a lot more product than if you:Purchase a domain name and set up your own web site. Birth parents do not come back and try to claim the child. Adoption agencies work with them and do not place their baby for adoption if they are not really okay with it. Children are not confused or harmed by contact with birth parents/family. On the contrary, they have a sense of where they come from, and when they have fears about why they were placed for adoption, they can ask. From a health perspective, it is important to know the health history of the family as certain diseases run in the family.
