Should I Pull Out My Tooth

How do you pull out a loose tooth?

There is more into extracting a tooth than just pulling it out.I suppose you mean a permanent tooth in your question. Extracting a tooth should be left as last resort when all other options of restoring it fail. Such a tooth could be suffering from major carious lesion or advanced periodontal disease for example. The problem with such teeth is the involvement of bacteria. Such involvement means that the area has to be properly debrided after the extraction to improve healing and minimize the chance of secondary infection. Many loose teeth have granulation tissue at the apex, and some have radicular cysts. Removal of these lesions is very important.“Pulling out a loose tooth” is not exactly a hard thing. Some teeth with advanced periodontitis and bone loss can be taken out by just twisting the tooth with your finger without causing major pain. It is what comes after the extraction that is very important, not the process of taking the tooth out itself.Pain can vary from one patient to another. Generally speaking, the removal of such infected tissue is a bit more painful, sometimes even when proper anesthesia is applied. So please, if you have any loose teeth, visit your dentist / oral surgeon.

Can I pull out a loose tooth from my dog?

Are you a vet? I did not think so, so No you cannot pull out your Chihuahuas loose tooth. If your Chihuahua has a loose tooth, then you take her to the vet and have the vet remove the tooth without causing your dog any pain.

If she has tartar on her loose teeth (there is probably more than one), then she's got tartar on all her other teeth, that will eventually lead to all her teeth and her gums ending up Infected and she needs to go to the vet for a dental anyway.

When a human goes to a dentist's office to have a tooth removed, they are given Novacaine (Anesthetic) to numb the pain. How would you feel if someone you trusted walked up to you and just yanked out one of your teeth? I don't think you would have been too happy about it.

You are going to hurt her even more, if you even try to pull the tooth out yourself and may even be bitten. If the tooth breaks and the root of the tooth remains, it can cause her major problems.

Be responsible, do the right thing and take her to the vet for a Dental. I take all my Chihuahuas to the vet for Wellness Checks every 6 months and they also have Dentals done every 6 months to a year or as their vet says is needed and they all have perfect pearly white teeth.

How can i pull out my tooth?

If it hurts and it's heavily decayed, and has been like this for a while, let alone years- it's most likely abscessed. Which means infected. Which means serious.

If you write in your question "Don't wrist soemthing dumb like go to a dentist" well, unfortunately mate, no one give you a GOOD answer to this question.

Abscesses - which are infections of the tooth can get VERY serious. (Possibly leading to blood posioning which can end you up in hospital before you can say 'dentist'). Please please please don't let yourself fall into the 'dumb' zone by NOT going to a dentist.

Unfortunately, (as much as some people would like) the dentist is the only SAFE LOGICAL option.

Pulling your tooth out yourself could only lead to one more thing: A higher (much higher) risk of infection, (even though your tooth sounds infected already if it's huirting).

If there's any swelling that comes on, or if the area develops a lump, book yourself IMMEDIATELY in to a dentist, if not - it's going to be FAR more expensive when you end up having to go to the ER

If you really can't afford it, ask the local dentist if they can do a 'payment' plan with you to break down the cost.

If there's need for an emergency extraction (which in all likelyhook is what you need) for an abscess, it's possible that the cost would be reduced (as it was for me in my 3 emergency abscesses extractions - I ended up only paying $90 all up for three different appointments to have antibiotics and three seperate extractions).

Can I Pull My Cat's Very Loose Tooth?

The other day, I noticed that my cat's tooth (the tiny incisor on the top of his mouth closest to his canine) looked out of place and the gum around it was very red. So, I took him to the vet. to see what was wrong, and the vet was able to wiggle the tooth A LOT! So, he recommend a blood test to check for organ damage and gave us antibiotics to take for the next month for his inflamed gums. My cat has been taking antibiotics for the past week or so and I am tempted to pull his tooth out myself. He has other health problems and is over 12 years old and I am worried that if he gets anesthetized, he might not wake up. His tooth is extremely loose and he's on antibiotics for his gums, so I'm asking, would it be wise to pull his tooth out myself? Anyone ever done this or heard of someone doing this?

Thanks.

How do I pull out a rotten tooth at home?

I did this myself recently. I was diagnosed and x-rayed by a dentist, then scheduled for an extraction the following week. Just out of college and new to the town and job, my budget was, and still is, strained. I rescheduled for a couple weeks out and pulled the section of tooth out that was problematic. All cases are unique in this situation. My case was a tooth with an amalgam filling that had cavities underneath. Not a lot of tooth remained. It was a 15 year old filling. I would suggest at least getting a diagnosis and x-ray, then do research if you need to know what you’re looking at. My education helps me in this regard, but what I’ve done to my tooth is only temporary. I’m still going in for a total extraction.Using alcohol and a clean Leatherman, I broke the gomphosis tooth joint. Nerves may regress after this. I pulled out fragments of unstable tooth and rinsed my mouth afterward. It was inflamed and, yes, it hurt to do. For now, my pain is gone and I’m using a solution of 1:1 H2O and H2O2 a few times per day. If this is your last resort, have a dentist in mind or a clinic that you can visit if it goes wrong. Make sure you’re not already in a conflicted state of health and you’re not taking prescription medications. If you cook, use raw garlic. There are natural antibiotics in it similar to penicillin. Keep the site clean and plan on seeing a dentist for accurate removal of your tooth.Hope this helps. Healthcare professionals, please send me rebuttals. I deserve it.

What is the best method to pull out my own tooth?

Sign up to dental schoool, study for 5 years, graduate, then you will still be unlikely to be able to extract your own tooth.I am not proud of this but.As a young dentist I attempted to remove my own fully erupted wisdom teeth. I found it impossible. The angle of my arm could not deliver enough force in the appropriate direction. I was able to call on other dentists to easily finish the job. Remember, I had local anaesthetic and knew what I was doing. - I do think I could have done a front tooth , but that only happens in movies.Don’t try this yourself - you don’t have the required instruments - you can't steralise those instruments - if the extraction has a adverse outcome you a not able to deal with the consequences.I know you have heard of people extracting their own teeth. This is my response. If your periodontal disease is bad enough your teeth will fall out when you sneeze. If you don't have advanced perio there is no way a novice can extract a tooth with the wrong tools and no idea.

Can I pull out my wisdom tooth myself?

I know that you cannot pull it out yourself. You can seriously injure yourself and wisdom teeth are not like the rest of your teeth..although don't pull out any teeth yourself. Just bite the cost of a dentist and allow them to do their job. If you are worried about cost then their are dental schools and dental programs that can assist you.
