Should i put my dog to sleep forever?
You need to take him to the vets to get the ticks removed, he will be in pain and irritable because of the ticks biting into his flesh and sucking his blood, he could also have a skin infection from the ticks. They need removing, if you try to do it yourself then you could leave the heads inside him and make it even worse. Then you need to treat regularly with Frontline, then if any ticks get a hold of him they will die and drop off. Once he is free of the ticks, you will see a difference in his behaviour, don't just condemn him to death, cure the problem, if you still don't want your dog then find a new home for him and give him a chance, .
I am torn about putting my dog to sleep..?
He is a 17 yr old Boston Terrier, He is incontinent of bowel and bladder, he has cancer in his bladder, and has tumors on his right hip/ sternum, he limps when he walks, has been falling, can't do steps, limps when he walks, some blood in the stool, seems to be hurting more, getting up every hour on the hour at night. We are not sleeping because he is always needing to go out at night. I need reassurance that I am doing the right thing. He has been such an important and special member of our family for the last 8 yrs, before that I got him from one of my hospice patient's when she died.
