Life is far too short to live in a pool of regret and resentment. Follow your destiny. Leave everything else that doesn't fit your desired lifestyle in the dust behind you.

Can I quit my dream job?

Don’t quit, please!Everybody face some kind of hardships in initial phase of their career. I can understand your situation very well as I have been through same.Working in night shifts takes a toll on health, but by keeping extra care we can pass this phase too. You should see a doctor immediately, I hope by some medication you will be fine. Also, taking rest for few days from training will also be fine, but do not quit.Once this phase will pass, you will be able to live a respected life in society. Focus only on your health and career at this stage and forgets about luxury of home. You are at an age whereby sitting idle at home or not earning will make your family and yourself feel utter discomfort and insecure about future.

Should I quit my job and follow my dream?

Hi, I'm 25 and INTJ too! Great to see your question and know that I'm not alone. I quitted my fundraising job last July and decided to start my entrepreneurial journey. As business is a new subject to me, I started to read everything possible to help me get to where I want to be. I started to spent on online courses, meeting entrepreneurs and authors, joint public speaking clubs. I had great exposure. But here's a problem. I'm too impatient to get my first sale. Why? Because there's no cash inflow. I've been working since Feb 15. I'm very grateful to be working with some of the best mentors. I'm getting basic pay for my 3 meals while learning the essential skills and knowledge as a career coach. At night, I take time out to learn online marketing and business from online experts. To quit is to speed up my exposure. To stay in a job, a right one, is to allow myself to learn & earn while staying patient and not be desperate for sales/results. You can experience both for yourself. Good luck!

Should I quit my job and pursue my dream now?

I am a visual artist but I work as a teacher to support myself and my husband while he is in law school. my job really gets to me- the commute is long and co-workers and school culture very depressing. I can't sleep well at night sometimes because of it- like now...I have always wanted to give my art a real chance. I have gotten some good grants and some recognition for it. should i quit my job now and go back to school for a masters in art? my husband is only in his first year of law school, so on one hand I think I should stay at work until he graduates, but on the other hand when he gets out we will want to have children, so I feel like now is my last chance to go for my dream. I am at an age where I need to start having kids soon if i want them. I am also concerned about the economy and finding a new job as an art teacher when and if I get out of school, as they are cutting school budgets. should I take the risk and quit my job and go back to school for art?

Should I quit my third job and pursue my dreams?

I have 3 jobs right now. I have dreams of becoming a fitness model and creating a clothing line tailored to women (preferably fitness clothing). I can draw and know my way around Photoshop, illustrator, and a few other digital programs. So I am well aware of my talents and truly believe I will become successful in this...If I commit to it.

I am 26 and am not getting any younger. With each day that passes by I get more and more anxious of the time I am wasting/loosing that could have been utilized on obtaining my goals/dreams.

I have bills right now but I have two other jobs if I quit this third one that I can rely on. I'd be super broke the majority of the time but I'd still be able to pay my bills.

My GF asks me to quit my dream job and I love my GF very much. What should I do?

Hi. What I could discern from that huge description of your situation is that your girlfriend is basically manipulating you, and emotionally blackmailing you into quiting your job to be with her. I'm not blaming her. Life screws people up. She's had a bit of bad luck, and not been able to get her dream job because she couldn't get into a good college. That's not your fault and she has to understand that. She couldn't get in because she couldn't study. Now, she sees you at your dream job, and she's struck by the fact that life has favoured you, while it has not worked for her. It sounds horrible to have to consider leaving her after all this. I know. After all, all she wanted was to be close to you. But you need to understand that your relationship isn't healthy anymore. That resentment that she has towards you for ruining her career (unjustified though it is) is going to wreak havoc on your life together even after decades. Encourage her to try for a good job. Tell her you'll support her decisions, but also tell her that you won't quit your job. Be there for her, but take care of your career as well, because if one day it doesn't work out with her, then you wouldn't like to be stuck at a job you don't like, when you could have stayed back at your dream job.      Do not make any decisions you will regret later. Your career is something you have to live with. If it doesn't work out with her, then you'll always find someone else.       But in the meantime, be sure to support her and boost her morale and self-esteem. She needs it.

Should I quit school to Pursue my dream job which is to be a youtube vlogger?

A2A...The prior answer by Jakub is reasonable.  I'll also note that Vlogging does not have to be a full-time job.  You don't have to quit school to start doing it.  For that matter, once you graduate, if (as is likely) you are not making enough income from vlogging to pay your bills, then you can get a job in the field covered by your education and continue with your Vlog.  If your Vlog takes off at some point and begins providing enough income to live on, then you can make whatever decision seems appropriate at that time. The above advice requires that you work harder than you would otherwise (school + vlogging and day job + vlogging). However, despite the name, the best way to achieve your dream anything is not by going to sleep. Rather you achieve your dreams by putting forth the maximum effort you are capable of rather than the minimum effort you are required to.

Should I quit my day job to pursue my dream as a songwriter?

I don’t understand why you would need to quit your job to write songs. You need to be able to support yourself while you are pursuing your dream. Once you start making enough money writing songs to do that then by all means quit your job.

What inspired you to quit your job and pursue your dreams?

I always wanted to study but never had the thought that I could succeed academically.I worked 2 jobs, one as a life coach inspiring others to follow their dreams and the other, in a labour intensive role which I had been apart of for over 9 years. One day in the labour role, I had the unfortunate luck of finding a employee deceased at work. This really hit me as it was fairly trumatic, the reality of being stuck in a job I wasn’t satisfied with and potentially experiencing the same outcomes as this employee really resonated heavily on me.The following week I went to my other job who didn’t have a contract for me to inspire people so rather than sitting and waiting, I practiced what I preached and applied to study.I am now 2 weeks out of completing my first year of studies and I couldn’t be happier about my choice.
