Should I Quit Track Will It Make My Butt Go Away

Will track make my butt go away?

Ok, first & fore most.. I do not want to sound cocky, but my butt is very big for a girl my ags, I'm only 15. I have a small waist. I was wondering if doing track will make my butt go away.. I have cellulite, but i dont want it.. I don't know if i should quit track or no? I can work out on my own, but.. I just dont want to loose my butt, please help.

I want to quit Track?

I honestly feel like crying right now. I am such a quitter, it's true. I have no commitment. Well, no physical commitment. I suck at running. I really really do. My friends on track said it'll get easier as time goes on, but I cannot imagine that! I know that I will lose all the meets and be the last person all the time. I'm not like the other girls who are fast as lightning and stick-skinny. I have the lowest stamina ever and I always stop to walk, like today when we we were running 400s. I just don't understand how people can keep running for that long? Is it just me? Am I that unfit? I know I am, and I really hate the feeling of people watching me and thinking "what a fatty" when they see me run. Listen to me when I say:  I really can't do this. I really can't. I can barely even trudge my way through one day of practice. I don't want do track anymore, even though it's only been my 3rd day. Everyone is 15392710729 times better than me. If I quit, will the team think of me as a quitter or not care bc there's already a lot of people on the team? What should I say to coach - that track is interfering with my studies? The coach is very intimidating and it will be uncomfortable to tell him. If I get another teammate to tell him will that make me look even more of a weakling? I don't want to look like a quitter but I really suck at being dedicated and strong. I will never be fast and that is a fact.
My parents will get soooo mad at me.. My mom already did earlier when I asked her if I could quit. But I'm going to quit on my own. Should I say..
Btw I'm actually chubby, not just a slow-runner.

Am i too FAT to Run Track?

all i know is that at my high school i had a friend that was playing football who was like 50 pounds overweight and in BAD shape (he was an offensive linemen), in the off season he decided to run track and seriously in 3 months he lost at least 60 lbs. And all of a sudden he became a CHICK MAGNET. The guy turned very LEAN and TONED and as of RIGHT NOW, he is STARTING Left Tackle for the UNIVERSITY of HAWAII football team.
so yah, track will turn u into a GREAT runner as long as u give it your all and NEVER QUIT on yourself. and another important thing if u want to lose weight is....... be cautious of what u eat, fatty cakes will destroy all of the hard work u put in.
in the mean time u should start running NOW before u sign up for track, if u cant run a mile NONSTOP then try and slow jog 1 mile nonstop, and then every week or 2 try and increase your running distance by a half mile. (u know your body best, so u have to decide when u should lengthen your run distance) DONT OVER DO IT is what im trying to say, LISTEN to your BODY!
being able to RUN 2-3 miles would be GREAT before u sign up for track, but if u cant IT'S NO PROBLEM. JUST BUST YOUR BUTT AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND U WILL MAKE THE TRACK TEAM.
GOODLUCK and u should probably go out for a run after u finish reading this
PS i NEVER ran track but i do run 3-5 miles everyday for exercise

I suck at running, should i quit track?

I just joined track and i sucked at it. Im not surprised anyways. Im out of shape. But its so embarrassing. Im always the last runner on track. ALWAYS LAST. I feel horrible. Then my sister just says to quit because i cant run at all. I video taped myself of how i run. It doesn't look like i put my entire speed. It looks like im lazily running, when actually, im kicking my body's butt to run faster before i pass out. Im hydrated an all, but its not working. I REALLY REALLY want to stay on track. But it will take WEEKS before i become faster. Im embarrassed when the other girls just make faces when i come like 5 minutes after they do. Any tips on my Horrid problem :(

OH dont get me started with how much i could run, I CAN NEVER run up to a mile at ALL.

Thanks for everyone's answers. Greatly appreciated.

Is my body type for track?

I'm 5'4 and 1/2 inch so i am exactly average height for a girl. I'm about 135 pounds. All my weight is in my butt and thighs. Should I be doing sprints for track team? There are many girls on the team and most of them are either really skinny or really tall, so they have an advantage. Can someone my height and weight stand a chance? I have asthma so I don't think I'll be doing distance soon.

My butt itches whenever i run?

Moist, dark areas are a breeding ground for bacteria. You might have jock itch. A few years ago a boyfriend had jock itch and didn't even know about it. There wasn't any visible rash. I ended up catching it from him and saw a doctor about it (I think women tend to address health issues more promptly than men do). The doc gave me a cream, and an extra tube for my boyfriend, and it cleared right up, never got it again.

I would try putting baby powder on before jogging or working out, to help keep the area dry. Also, be sure to shower after working out, and change into clean underwear.
If you do these things for a while, and you are still itchy, you probably will need to get a prescription cream from a doctor to clear it up. It's embarrassing to bring this subject up to a doctor, I know, but they hear stuff like this (and worse) every day, and it's really very easily diagnosed.

Does cheerleading make your butt smaller?

hey, im a 14 year old girl. i am going to tryout for cheerleading in a week and a half. i was a cheerleader last fall, but that was when i was skinnier and my butt was much smaller. a little while after cheerleading ended, my butt got much bigger. i get a lot of attention for my butt. im not fat but my butt has a lot of fat on it. i dont know why because i seem to be built like my mom, except her butt is flat and mine is fat. haha but i was preparing for tryouts, doing cheerleading stuff yesterday and now i really feel my butt. i want to make the team, but im scared that if i do make the team and start cheerleading again, my butt will get smaller and i will lose the fat on it. will cheerleading make my butt smaller and less fat or will it give it muscles UNDER the fat so it makes my butt bigger. or will it make my butt still big but i would have no fat on it only hard muscle? or would that make it small? please just tell me what cheerleading will do to my butt. it has to do something or else i wouldnt feel my butt muscles. thankss. and i would rather have a big butt than be a cheerleader.

In long jump, do you land on your feet or your butt?

In long jump. when you jump you land on your feet and try to fall forward, instead of backwards onto you butt, because it will be the measuring point.
Oh, and when they measure, they start from the plank you step to jump on.
So try to step at least 0.5 cm away from the plank itself. Stretch your feet as forward as you can, and try to land forward as well, so that they measure where your feet land.
