Should I Seek Medical Attention

Should i seek medical attention?

How long has it been doing this. What does it take for you to go to the doctor? Try this for a wake up.

It could be diverticulitus. Little pockets in the large intestine that get inflamed. They can also perforate into the abdominal cavity, perintanitus. I waited. I ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery. I hurt so much that even morphine didn't help. I begged for surgery. I lost about 7" of my colon. My doctor said after the surgery that if I had waited another hour I wouldn't have needed the operation, I would have been dead. I will never poop like a normal person again in my life. I have to take pills every day to be a little normal.

Is this what what you want?

I don't know if you have the same thing or not, do you want to take the chance and wait some more?

Is seeking medical attention the same as attention seeking?

No. They are different as mentioned by the others. Let me give you examples.1. You have a headache. You do not see a practitioner instead you go around asking everyone if they have a medicine to help you. You tie a big band around your forehead to let people know you have a headache. You post your status messages on social media as "having a headache"--- Attention seeking2.  You have a terrible headache and you've tried the regular pain killer. So you go to a doctor to diagnose or prescribe a better medicine -- Seeking medical attention. There is however a 3rd case. Called the Munchausen Syndrome.3. You do not have a head ache or any illness. But you fake one for yourself and exaggerate the symptoms to sound something terribly serious. This is a lesser known and a serious attention seeking disorder. The sympathy and treatment given to a patient (in most cases hospitalized) satisfies their psychological need for attention. A similar behavior called Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy has been observed in the parent or guardian of a child. The parent or guardian actually initiates a disease in the child or inflicts the child with pain to seem like a disease in order to gain sympathy from the other family members/friends/relatives.

Should I seek medical attention or rest, and should I go to work tomorrow?

I had cold symptoms on Mon (sore throat, sneezing, runny nose). On Tue, I had a stuffy runny nose, slightly warm but ok. Work requested I continue working. Wed, at work, I started getting hot sweats, body started aching by the afternoon and everything I ate went right through me. By the end of the day, I was extremely lethargic, moving very slowly, had diarrhoea and sweats at least 4 times during the evening. Today, Thurs, I'm still feeling lethargic, not at work, slightly warm, had diarrhoea once. I've been able to have plain rice with no issues so far. My question is do I need to seek medical attention and should I go to work tomorrow ?

Should one seek medical attention, when there has been a natural gas leak at work,?

If the leak has been fixed your symptoms should disappear as soon as you are no longer exposed to the gas.

Natural gas has the added safety benefit that it does not contain carbon monoxide so should not cause any long-term problems.

If you are in the UK, you should record your symptoms in the incident book or file that all employers are obliged by law to keep. In this way, if you have any health problems later you can use the report in support of your claim.

Your employer should also notify the health and safety executive of any action they have taken to prevent what was obviously a very dangerous occurrence happening again.

If you feel your health has been affected, your employer should be arranging a health check for you. Consult your workplace health and safety representative if you have one or, if not, your union representative.

Should I seek medical attention if there is pain in my lower left abdomen?

Your appendix is on your right side. I have no idea what the “crunch” might have been. Did it seem to come from the area where you're having pain? Either way, I do think you should be seen by your physician (or by the emergency room). There are countless things that could be causing the pain. Not to be too personal, but if you have been constipated that could be the cause. Even still, I think if you are describing the pain as excruciating, you need to be checked out by a doctor. There isn't any reason to put it off.I want to share a story with you…not to scare you, but to make you realize how important it is to know what's going on with your body. A good friend of mine was having abdominal pain for about a week or so, and one night after work it became so bad he decided to go to the emergency room. They did a scan on his abdomen and initially thought he had a blockage in his colon. They knew it required surgery and began immediately. Once they started operating, they saw what they thought was cancer. They removed a large section of his colon and sent it to pathology. It was cancer. He was only about 30 years old or so. He went through a year (or more) of chemo and radiation, and he is now cancer free.I only shared that so you will realize how important it is to know what is wrong, and that we never know what's going on with our bodies for sure unless we are thoroughly examined by a physician.Take care of yourself. I hope you get the help you need and that you're feeling better very soon!

My blood pressure is 86/56. Should I seek medical medical attention?

Disclaimer - I am not a medical professional.Readings at or below 90/60 usually indicate low blood pressure, or what's called HYPOTENSION, meaning the pressure in your arteries is at the lower end of what's considered normal. Some people with blood pressure this low may be prone to weakness or fainting, but many people feel just fine. If you're taking blood pressure medicines, they're probably working better than they need to, and they should be adjusted. It's also possible to get low blood pressure as a side effect of certain medications. If you're not on any blood pressure medicines, there's usually no need to be concerned about low blood pressure unless you're experiencing negative symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, nausea, or fatigue. In fact, low blood pressure, or hypotension, isn't usually diagnosed unless the patient is experiencing symptoms. What to do if your blood pressure reading is 86/56Check your pulse. When the body is feeling strained by the low blood pressure, the heart often compensates by beating faster. If your pulse is over 90 or if you feel unwell, call your doctor for advice, especially if the low blood pressure is unusual for you.If you're taking blood pressure medications, talk to your doctor about adjusting your dosages.Have your doctor or pharmacist check to make sure you're not taking any other medications that could lower your blood pressure.Treatment is probably not needed if your pulse is normal and you're feeling fine.Source - Blood Pressure: 86/56

Should I seek medical attention for a possibly broken toe?

I broke a toe last year and heavily bruised it's neighbor's on each side.Get evaluated by a foot & ankle specialist. You might have more damage (tissue, tendons, plantar fascia) than just bone broken.A walking boot helped me tremendously because it allowed a means to take pressure off my foot which allowed my bone to heal. I also went to physical therapy because I had problems with blood pooling in my foot and toes.Lastly, if you let this to heal on its own without medical intervention there's a chance that a doctor might have to rebreak you toe to fix it.PS. Broken toes get a Rodney Dangerfield form of respect, i. e. None!
