Should I Send A Birth Announcement To Paternal Mom Or Not

Why does Obama's birth certificate not say Barry Sotero? ?

I don't know for a fact without seeing his information, but I think it kind of goes like this. He was given the name Barak Hussein Obama Jr. at birth. When his parents divorced his parents changed his name in Indonesia to his stepfathers last name and they chose Bary for the first name. Then in college he went by the name bary Obama mixing the two together. Now here is the kicker just like Mohamed Ali who started out as Casius Clay and changed his name to Mohamed Ali when he became a Muslim, So basically Barak Obama re embraced his Muslim faith when he switched back to his Muslim name. That is why many people consider him to be a Muslim. You are only a Muslim name if you are a Muslim in most Muslim countries.

I know this because I was born in Libya and have seen this done if you leave the Muslim faith you have to get rid of you Muslim name.

Are birth certificates public or private?

You've gotten a whole lot of bad answers.

Reality: Birth certificates are public records that are sealed from public viewing for 72 years. "Anyone" can NOT get your birth certificate...but CERTAIN people can get it. That list is limited to spouse, parents, children, grandchildren, the executor of an estate and, in some states, siblings.

YOU are the legal child of your father. With or without his knowledge or permission, you are entitled to a copy of his birth certificate. If you contact the State, you will have to provide a copy of your drivers license (and sometimes your birth certificate showing him as your father), but yes they will send you a copy. If you know where he was born, you can contact the county office that handles birth records and request a non-certified "genealogy" copy for a fraction of the cost.

Are there resources online to help me with gathering documents for Italian Citizenship?

I agree with Chris in that the ICDTS.com organization has helped me. I will also add that they have many other services also to help people find their relatives in Italy and to do research for people who have problems with doing it themselves or simply don't have the time. They are a great source and worth every penny they ask.

(son of Aethelwulf and Osburh)King Edward The Elder (899 – 924) – 31st great-grandfather. (son of Alfred the Great and Ealswith of Mercia)King Edmund (940 – 946) – 30th great-grandfather. (son of Edward the Elder and Edgiva)King Edgar (959 – 975) – 29th great-grandfather. (son of Edmund and Elgiva)King Aethelred II The Unready (978 – 1016) – 28th great-grandfather. (son of Robert I, Duke of Normandy, and Arlette daughter of Fulbert)At that point the Norman/French/Vikings came into the blood lineKing James VI of Scotland was her 9th great-grandfather, born in Scotland, although his father was born in England .King George I (1714 – 1727) the 6th great-grandfather of Elizabeth was German born, although his Grandmother was the Scottish King James VI and I, also King of England.Queen Elizabeth II – GrandfathersConfusing to some..Some say that George I of Great Britain, was the first German King of Britain, however his great grandfathers included King James VI and I (King of Scotland and England), and his grandmothers included Elizabeth Stuart. (Born in Scotland). If Elizabeth II is German, then the “German” king, George I, is Scottish by the same calculation. This then makes all of them British… even the “German” ones..
