Should I Send My Campus Safety An E-mail About This Am I Too Paranoid

Is the police out to get me? or am i paranoid?

If you have done nothing wrong then forget it. If you have been doing anything illegal you might want to consider an alternative.

I'm so scared of possible malware..Am I just being paranoid?

But Is there anyway to know for certain if I have a keylogger or not, though?

My computer seems normal and is running completely fine so that's why I think I might just be paranoid haha. Im worried about entering info when the possibility is there. Is there anyway I can check? Like looking under running programs/services or something? My task.host is always running upon shutdown; is this relevant?

Thank you for all the advice so far! :)

Is it legal to put hidden cameras in a dorm room?

So they people on the floor of my residence hall "suspect" that I have been smoking marijuana. They are too passive aggressive to actually confront me about it so I think they went to the building security office about their suspicions. Earlier today, I had a knock on my door and having nothing to hide I answered it and an old man said he had to replace my smoke detector. I found this odd because smoke detectors normally just need a battery replacement but he replaced the whole unit with a new, different looking unit. The new unit has a red light on the inside of it that the other one did not. I might just be paranoid but it could be a type of hidden camera of some sort. Is this legal? I mean I don t do any illegal activities in my room but I do some things that I would be uncomfortable having other people know about (self-harm, etc.) I need to know if this is legal and how can I find out if it really is a hidden camera?

What is it like living in Buenos Aires, Argentina?

The people, food, city life, weather, taxes/expensiveness/cost of living, walk-ability, public transport, personal safety, night life, things to do, and the shopping?

Does the Chinese government read and edit or censor emails?

Certainly all emails are scanned for "trigger" words. You don't have somebody sat reading every email, it is done automatically, and any containing certain words will be then checked. They are not edited and to my knowledge I have never had pictures or videos (in or out) intercepted, although I wouldn't say it wasn't possible!

Should certain trigger words repeatedly appear from a user then I am sure they would then pay close attention to that individuals other emails too, until there were sure that they were not a threat to national well-being.

Whether your email was flagged or not, its hardly a threat to their security, and they will have (IF they viewed it) discounted it immediately. People can say WHAT they want as long as it is not critical of the Chinese governement, their policies or situations detrimental to the reputation of China.

As one poster has already said, its nothing that all the other countries aren't also doing, but are you worried about disagreeing with your leaders in an email? Probably not, and this is exactly the same! I wouldn't give it another moments concern!
