Should I Send The Old Money Orders To The City Treasurer

Do any Jews realize that Lying, killing, and the pursuit of money and power, are not endearing qualities?

Dd, I think the point will be lost on many here, but dare you say that they should not be exterminating another race (Lebanese Arabs) and you wait and see the response you get.

Of course not all Jewish people support the genocidal actions of their government, just like the majority of people oppose Bush's attack on a sovereign nation resulting in the ending of tens of thousands of Iraq lives, opening the can of worms that is civil war, and creating more terrorists and terrorist actions than the people had ever previously experienced.

The problem with the Israeli sympathisers and they cannot see it is they claim terrorists are threatening them and their lives, but it is ok to terrorise and kill Lebanese women and children in pursuit of a group they are too afraid to face head on, despite their supposed military superiority, and result to the cowards option of lobbing bombs from a distance. Shame on them.

bumpocooper, our tax dollars are enough thanks. From a discredited adminstration to a discredited terrorist state.

I am running for class treasurer and don't know what to say in my speech?

As class treasurer I will___________________. Our school/class has a need for_____________________and I will help to raise money to achieve this goal. I would be a great class treasure because____________________. Thank you for your time and I would appreciate your vote..........
Something along those lines. Just fill in the blanks. By the way, I WOULD mention my math skills. Especially if part of your office requires that you count and handle money. I would also indicate that I was honest and trustworthy. Good Luck, I hope you win.

Can you cash in a check with a different name on it?

If the "different name" is another person, then they can endorse the check, and then write that it is payable to you.  Then you can cash it.  Most banks will not require that "third party checks" be deposited, and the funds held for a few days.If the "different name" refers to you, (for example, an alias, maiden name or DBA name) then legally, you can cash it.  However, most banks would not accept a check for other than the name on record.  In that case, you could endorse the check with the "different name", make it payable to your regular name, and then cash it.  (Obviously, if you do this when "different name" is not you, then it would be fraud).

What can I do to help poverty and starvation in the Philippines?

Poverty is a perennial problem for people who are content with their situation or for those who are deep into their vices like gambling, drinking, etc... Education is a major key in fighting poverty... A person must have the qualifications or skills to be gainfully employed... Factories... Industries... Call centers... Should be taken to the rural areas to cater to these rural folks so they need not go to the cities for employment... There should be this awareness inculcated in the mind of every struggling Filipino that …it is not your choice to be born poor but to die poor that will be your choice... There is this saying that goes... If you really want something... You will find a way... If you don't... You will find an excuse...

List the name of the appropriate official or agency, the phone number, and whether each is part of the federal?

I know a few of the these.
1, 4 and 5 - your local Code Enforcement. In many towns this is part of the Building Codes Dept. If you dial your town's main number, just ask to be transferred to Code Enforecement. It's easier than trying to dig through the white pages.

2. Local FBI field office.

3. Your best bet is your local newspaper. Get neighbors to join in. Also call your town's mayor office. You can also call Code Enforcement to make sure they are in compliance with local ordinances.

8. Your local Public Works Deparatment. If it's a private waste company, like Waste Management Inc., call them directly.

9. Depends on whether park is city or county. If city, try Public Works or Parks & Recreation.
If County, try County Parks and Recreation dept.

10. I would contact your state's Governor's office as well as the State Treasurer.

Sorry I don't know about # 7. Good luck.

Why did Jesus Christ and his disciples not collect tithe but Christians do so today?

Christians collect tithes because they take the bible out of context. Truly anyone that knows his/her bible knows that tithing is not for today. Those that still believe they do, is because of what man has taught them. They will go to the same passages and verses to state their case but do not go to the passages within context that will totally go against all they have been falsely instructed. Apart from no Levites leaving today and no temple standing today, the law that inforced tithing on these Jews has passed away. God does not need your money, what He wants more than anything is a relationship with you. For those that love to say that Abraham gave tithes from the spoils of war before the law was given, well go ahead and give your tithe once! just as Abraham did. The Bible has been fulfilled! When Jesus said it is finished! He meant it! ..not one letter shall pass till! heaven & earth passes away.. Brothers and sisters, the old heaven and earth which was the old covenant law has passed away in 70AD! We are under the new heaven and earth!Isa 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate. (First by the Babylonians and then by the Romans)Deu 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you….Deu 31:28 Gather to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them.Seriously if you haven't understood this than you have not read your Bible. Stop using preconceptions and read for yourself. Stop being carried about by every wind of doctrine and search the scriptures to see what is the truth.I'm not saying that you shouldn't support your church, but just beware what it is that you are actually supporting.Grace & peace always..

How did Jesus and his disciples support themselves financially?

First, some of them had jobs. For example, Simon Peter and Andrew were fishermen before meeting Jesus (see Mark 1:16). After Jesus' resurrection, Peter went fishing again (John 21:32), so it's likely that he continued to derive some income from fishing. Second, they received financial support from their followers. In Luke 10, Jesus' sent his disciples out to preach the gospel, with instructions to accept food and shelter from those to whom they preached. If they didn't receive that support, it was a sign that the community did not accept their message, so they were supposed to move on to another town or village. In Luke 8:1-3, the writer mentions that there were several women who considered themselves Jesus' disciples, and that they supported him and the other disciples from their own personal financial means. Keep in mind that Jesus Himself did not own a house, apparently (Luke 9:58), so his financial needs would have been limited to basic food and clothing. As I mentioned above, the disciples who owned homes had probably purchased or built them out of their own income. Their needs as disciples consisted of basic food and clothing, as well. Finally, the apostle Paul was a tentmaker by trade (Acts 18:1-3). He apparently did not take financial support from the churches he led, but he did make the case that it was appropriate for churches to financially support those men who taught them the Word of God (see 1 Corinthians 9:1-14).
