Should I Stay In Seattle The Best City Ever Or Go Back To Hell

What city is better to live in: Houston, TX, Seattle, WA, or Tampa, FL?

I've been to all three. Seattle is BY FAR the best in terms of culture quality of life, activity. It is cool and pleasent in the summer with low humidity but it is rainy in the winter.

Tampa is mild in the winter buy very hot and humid in the summer. Cultually Tampa has some Cuban influences but there are too many retirees and tourists. Florida is not one of my favorite places.

BY FAR THE WORST PLACE ON EARTH IS HOUSTON TEXAS. TRAFFIC IS HORRIBLE, THE CLIMATE IS UNGODLY HOT AND HUMID AND IF THERE IS A HELL ON EARTH, HOUSTON TEXAS IS IT !!!!!!!

Should I move to Seattle?

I am a 22 year old college student living in Illinois. I have an associates degree but I am still two years away from getting a BS degree. As of now I have been going only to a community college, but I will attend a university next semester. The dilemma is that I am not sure where to go. I got accepted to a university in Illinois as well as a university in Washington.

I have wanted to live in Seattle for a really long time really badly. I feel that my life is lacking any sort of adventure of excitement in this state and the midwest makes me feel a bit trapped and stagnant. So if I got to a school in Illinois, the tuition would be cheaper, I know the area, I have a support system (friends, partner, etc), and its a little cheaper to live here. The downside is that it is in the Midwest which means there is no ocean anywhere, the school doesn't have a Marine Biology program (which is what interests me), and there is the trapped feeling.

The University of Washington has the advantage of being in Seattle, which means an awesome city with amazing scenery (from what I've seen). The school has a marine biology program, but is almost twice as expensive because of out of state tuition. There is also the fact that I do not know anyone and haven't really been to the city.

So I guess the question would be - Is adventure and excitement more important than financial soundness (less debt from school) and familiarity? I have analyzed this for a very long time and I am a bit desperate. What should I do?

If Seattle gets its NBA team back, which city in the east, would you like to see get a team, to even it out?

First of all, the Grizzlies should move to the East if they stay in Memphis, as it would simplify scheduling (they’d play more Eastern teams, which are far closer to Memphis). This would give the East 16 teams and the West 15 teams. The next largest markets without an NBA team or a particularly close or logical NBA team are St. Louis and Kansas City, both of which could go in the West, geographically. Las Vegas would be another option, as they’ll have an NFL and NHL team by 2019, plus the city already has a strong basketball culture growing out of UNLV, NBA Summer League, and Team USA basing operations there. Finally, there’s Louisville, which has an NBA-ready arena and a basketball-mad population. My recommendation would be Vegas, but I’d like to see a bit more data on how the Golden Knights do, attendance-wise, relative to other NHL teams.

Will the Seattle SuperSonics come back?

In the long term the answer will be - YES.As the current Seattle ownership team that’s been trying to move a team back to Seattle has a lot of money is waiving around and the other NBA owners would love to take it. In addition, Seattle is probably the largest remaining TV market that doesn’t have an NBA team which means getting a smaller market team to Seattle should help improve viewership, TV deals, and merchandising sales. That said, the bigger issue - is when - for a couple of reasons:1) There are 30 teams in the league and for scheduling purposes the NBA does not want to go to 31. They’d likely consider doing 32 which balances out the two conferences numerically, but there’s a strong belief there aren’t enough good players to go around to keep quality of play high enough. Also there isn’t a clear second city that wants / can support a team.2) There’s no other logical team to poach. As there’s really only one other team that seems to be itching to move and that’s Milwaukee. The problem is their owner doesn’t want to move them and they’re lease with the city essentially prevents them from moving because they just got funding for a new arena. As such, you’re essentially left hoping one of the following small market teams has financial issues / owner needs to sell with my best guess at present being - Memphis. Which is very much a long shot at this point.

Traveling to Seattle, how many days is enough?

Me and a friend are planning a weekend getaway to Seattle. Just wanted to know how many days will be enough for us to explore the metropolitan area serviced by public transportation since we don't plan on renting a car.

Would Kevin Durant have left the Thunder if they were still in Seattle?

This is impossible to know, primarily because we don’t know what KDs precise reasons for leaving OKC were. In his short statement posted on The Player’s Tribune he basically just thanked OKC profusely and talked about becoming a man - whatever that means to him. So without KDs own definition of why he left going back in time and producing a counterfactual is awful tricky. If I was to guess this is about two things - 85% winning and 15% setting himself up for a career post-basketball. There was little chance that KD was settling down in OKC after his playing days are over, and even fewer “sexy” business opportunities that he sees his other superstars chasing (like Lebron, Melo, Curry, etc…). Seattle, however, like the Bay Area, does provide some of those opportunities, probably enough to satiate an NBA player who does not want to be a full time angel, and rather is likely looking to make a few bets a year.Unfortunately for the extinct Seattle Sonics who are living in this alternate reality, their team composition, the two man front of Westbrook and Durant, was the issue that KD could not overcome. It’s not that they had 0% shot of winning a title - they would have likely opened up in Vegas next year as the 3rd most likely, it’s just that it was a bit of a long shot. KD wants a title.Perhaps Seattle could have attracted a few more marquee free agents, or the seattle TV contract could have enabled the billionaire owner a bit more flexibility to go deeper into luxury tax territory and keep both Harden and Ibaka years ago. Maybe. But what we do know is that this was truly a perfect storm in which one of the greatest teams in history, through a sequence of events 5 years in the making, had outright cap space to sign a top 3 player in the league and potentially create a juggernaut the likes of which have not been seen. Ever. The chemistry seems right. The personalities seem right. And the opportunity for multiple championships, in a Western Conference that seems as vulnerable as ever, is ripe.I don’t think the city of Seattle would have been enough to stop this from happening.

How come most liberal cities is virtually black free? I thought they're tolerant people?
