Should I Take All 3 Sciences In Grade 12

What grade 11 science course should i take?

let me tell you something. Decide what you want to do. I didn't ****** up my year. Took Biology and Chemistry, failing both. Ive decided i want to go to law school because without sciences and maths my average is high 80's-low 90's. In Gr.9/10 i got 70's in science, now im struggling to pass.

Biology-Memorization, Hours of memorizing notes EVERY DAY. Good thing is you don't fall behind because it's not concepts, just MEMORIZATION. PAGES AND PAGES AND PAGES. If your a slacker/ don't study for science for hours everyday, DONT TAKE THIS. But it is a prerequisite for a lot of university programs, mainly in the sciences so DECIDE WHAT YOU WANNA DO.

Chemistry- I didn't understand the concepts from the beginning so now failing. It builds and builds, getting harder and harder. Difficult if you'nt understand, Easy if you do. I personally find Biology easier b/c Bio is straightforward memorization from notes. Chem is concepts Science and math combined.

Physics im not taking it heard it was a killer course. Decide what you want to do seriously.Bio,Chem,Physics are the only science prereq. for university programs. Your not taking physics. You say your not that good at science. Going into university for sciences/engineering is a poor choice then for you. Business in university only requires 2 Gr.12 maths(NO SCIENCES), Social Sciences(Only English), Science(2 Sciences,2Maths,English),Engineering(Che...
Physics,2 Gr.12 Maths,English(NO BIO),One or two sciences may be required if you want to go into Geography,Environment, Ecology, Psychology(Only recommends Biology).

My sister in Gr.10 has decided she wants to go into accounting and has decided not to take any sciences in Gr.11. She's getting mid-80 in Gr.10 science and got a 90 in Gr.9. But she studies hard for science. She';s decided on her future career path and decided its not worth all the hardwork and stress from taking sciences when she wants to go into business. SO DECIDE WHAT U WANT TO DO.

If you still have not decided what you want to do and you have to choose courses i suggest taking either chemistry or biology. Other sciences are totally pointless not needed for any university programs. Take 1 science and after if u find out what u want to go into and u need another science take it next semester.

Also, if your good at math, then take chemistry. If your not Dont take it.

Should I take all three sciences in Grade 11?

If science is your interest, there is nothing wrong with taking more than one science at a time. Once you get into college, you will be taking more than one class in a given subject all the time (in your major and minor).

With that said, what science courses have you already taken? I'm wondering why you didn't take biology in 10th grade? My suggestion would be to save physics for your senior year.

My son took Honors Physical Science in 9th grade and Honors Biology in 10th grade. Then in 11th grade he took Honors Chemistry AND Advanced (AP) Biology. In his senior year he took Honors Physics and Advanced (AP) Chemistry. He didn't regret it because it really helped him in college --he is majoring in the sciences.

He also took Spanish each year, English each year, as well as a math each year (College credit Calculus his senior year).

Good luck.

What science class would I take in 12th grade?

No, you wouldn't. There's a certain number of required credits in high school in order to graduate. If you plan to attend a college or university that requires more than three science courses, then in grade 12 you might take biology, physics, or chemistry if they are required. If you've already taken grade 12 biology for example, in grade 11, then in grade 12 you could take physics or chemistry if you haven't enough science credits for your high school diploma, or future post secondary program.

Is all three sciences (bio, chem, physics) necessary in grade 11?

most in my school are taking chem/physics... some are doing bio/chem
i knw probably less than 6 people taking all 3 sciences and my dad/sister are urging me to take all three and i dont think i am capable of it....my math mark is 87 and i am an 80 average student but this year i got 74 in science which is not good...so u can only imagine what all 3 sciences would make my average in science courses...i know its good to take all 3 but i feel 2 is more necessary
which two should i take? and if not, why should i take all three ? (biology, physics, chemistry)

Can you do all 3 sciences for the IB diploma?

It is possible but not recommended as you will be slammed with a very heavy workload. This first of all will mean 3 more papers to write in May of your grade 12 year. If you do choose to do 3 different sciences, then only take one that is HL as 2 HL sciences will be suicidal. Trust me on this, I am one of the top physics student in my school and I was struggling to learn Physics HL. Pull off a 7 at the end but it took a lot of effort.

In what order would you take the AP science classes?

A pathway for an AP student highly interested in majoring in medicine or any science related fields would generally look like:9th grade: Biology or H10th grade: Chemistry or H11th grade: AP Biology or AP Chemistry12th grade: AP Chemistry or AP BiologyIf a student is interested in majoring in engineering, computer science, or anything related with math. Typically, the route would look like:9th grade: Physics10th grade: AP Physics 1summer of 10th/11th grade: dual enrollment in Biology(if necessary to graduate)11th grade: AP Physics 212th grade: AP Physics CTypically, a normal route for every high school student in the U.S would look like:9th grade: Biology10th grade: Physics11th grade: Chemistry12th grade: If not interested in any of the subjects I listed below, students would take Forensic Science or Physiology. In all seriousness, please don’t overload your schedule with AP Classes.

What courses should you take in grade 11 and 12 if you want to become an Optometrist?

Honestly if i were you i'd just take whatever college level classes are offered at your school. Then you can start ahead when you need to go to college and it'll save you some money too! Most degrees still require the same English, Math... basics so take whatever will get you college credit for cheap or free! Plus taking college courses will look good on college applications and job applications. Good luck!
