Should I Take The Sat Subject Test In Chemistry Or Physics

Unless the colleges you are applying to have a preference for one of them, you should take the one you can do better in.

Depends on what subject you want to take up in college. If you want something to do with Engineering, computing, physics, astrophysics, take Physics. If not, then go for Chemistry. [I took EEE in college, but took both]As for which one is easier, that's subjective. Whichever you find easier is obv. easier. Take a diagnostic test and then find out. I found Physics much easier than Chemistry.

I am assuming you are asking because you are up against the clock - or that you do not have one extra test date available to split subject tests into 2 + 1.If you are disciplined, have mastered all 3 subject tests in practice, AND have practiced taking 3 different subject tests back to back, then, yes go for it. You have to train primarily against mental exhaustion (staying motivated and energetic while rapidly reorienting your mindset to the next test/content) and stress. If you have time to pull this level of practice together, I’d say it is worth a shot. Even if you then decide to revert back to 2 tests per day, the experience of pushing yourself harder will come in handy in college and post-grad tests like GRE, LSAT, MCAT etc.But if you have time to practice, and have sufficient test dates available, or you are likely to be stressed out, then please follow Gideon and Eric’s excellent advice and split at least into 2+1.

The first question to ask yourself would be what is the most recent course you have taken? Typically, it is recommended that you take a Subject test right after you have finished the course.I personally chose the Chemistry Subject test because there was a greater leeway. The downside was that I had taken Chemistry two years ago. I used a Chemistry Subject Test practice book to brush up on facts, and it included a few practice tests.Take the one that you are most comfortable with. It wouldn’t hurt to see practice problems online or check out SAT Subject practice books from the library (that’s what I did).I read somewhere that Subject tests are weighted. Granted, if you aced high school Chemistry on your report card but scored 350 on your SAT II Chemistry, then there’s an issue.

Mechanical Universe helps meet different students' needs, from the basic requirements of liberal arts students to the rigorous demands of science and engineering majors. This series is also valuable for teacher professional development.

At OCW MIT EDU
Professor Walter Lewin demonstrates that the period of a pendulum is independent of the mass hanging from the pendulum. This demonstration can be viewed on the video of Lecture 10. (Image courtesy of Markos Hankin, Physics Department Lecture Demonstration Group).
The Video Index gives a breakdown of topics and the start time of the corresponding segment in each lecture. To access a particular segment, play the lecture in a RealPlayer window and adjust the slider bar to the designated start time.

Watch these and you will pass the Physics Subject.

How to get an 800 on the SAT Subject Test for Chemistry? ?

If you want to go to MIT or Harvard, you may want to learn how to write a complete sentence.

Second of all, what is the question? How to get a perfect score in chemistry on the SAT? Well, start taking some practice tests. Enroll in the PSAT whenever you can. Take a Kaplan prep course or something. Ask your HS counselor the same question as you asked here.

You may also want to realize there is just more than chemistry on the SAT. Whether those subjects interest you as much as chemistry or not, you have to do well in them too. I took the ACT, got a perfect score in science; got a horrible score on another section, and that hurt me.

You may want to brush up on the writing and verbal. You won't find "lol" on the SAT either.

Which SAT Subject tests is harder- Physics or Chemistry?

The Chem SAT II try isn't well worth taking without AP chemistry. I took the only in June and were given a 790 however the youngsters who took it in might want to were given 760s. (that is my AP chem classification). The try does no longer quite concentration on any certain section. It asks you all round. You necessary to gave achieved experiments, considered chemical compounds and understand underlying ideas to have a shot at a seven hundred+. I recommend taking some practice checks and then identifying in case you want to take the try or no longer. (no calculator is a bummer).

Any took the SAT subject test chemistry? is it hard?

I know a person who is very fluent in chemistry. She scored a 5 on her AP test and is now learning advanced organic chemistry this year. However, she only scored a 760 on the SAT chem test when she took it this year. Thus, you probably can say that it is not too easy.

Sat Subject Test Physics and Math?

SAT Physics: No calculators allowed.

SAT II Math (Level 1 AND 2): Calculators are allowed - some aren't allowed however.

IDK if they give formulas for SAT physics but they do give some formulas for SAT Math (like volume of certain geometric shapes and more)

Sorry, I don't know the rest

SAT II subject tests math level 2 and chemistry ?

i was considering on taking SAT II math level 2 and chemistry for my 2 subject test but i am not sure if i am ready. i just finished pre-cal my junior year and i took regular chemistry which i seemed to excel in.with lots of studying ( i am speaking 2 months of straight up studying ) do u think i can get a 700-750 ..i also took AP french and i would take that SAT subject test for french but i plan on going into engineering so i don't think it would be a great idea to take a language subject test instead of a science subject test... help what are my options !?

PS :i suck at history and English so those subject test are not even an option ...neither is physics because i haven't taken the class yet and neither is bio because i am taking AP bio my next academic year so it will be too late
