Should I Use Normal Or Extra Strength Colourb4 Read

How do you get rid of purple hair dye after the color has faded in your hair?

Ah! I've been there myself! Lol. As these beautiful fashion colors are a direct dye, they are heavily loaded with pigment. If you applied it to bleached hair (which is what creates those beautiful vibrant colors!) time is the best way. You could try a few shampoos with Dawn,as that is alkaline and MAY lift it a bit. Vinegar is actually acidic, and CLOSES the cuticle. These colors are not permanent, and will completely fade with time! I,however, faded from purple,to lavender, then my blonde looked slightly silver, then it was gone! So unless you want to go back to purple, just be patient,my friend!

Shading Oops evacuates color utilizing hydrosphere. Hydrosphere influences the color in your hair to water dis solvable, with the goal that it will wash out. Since fade evacuates regular shade, and isn't a color, it will have no impact. It won't supplant the melanin you crushed.

How to get out month old hair dye?

So I have naturally dark brown hair, and I dyed it red about a month ago, less than a month even, but I want to go blonde. I'm scared that the red will do something to the blonde, so I was wondering how I could get the red out? Because my friends and I are going to be doing the dying, and we're doing it tomorrow night. I can wash my hair as many times as I need to before then. I've heard that baking powder helps get hair dye out, but I don't know if that would work with my case. Help please??

Also, for when we dye my hair to blonde, my mom said to get stripper for you hair color, and then dye it the lightest shade of blonde I can find since my hair is so dark. My friends said that I should just bleach it and then dye it blonde, but I think that might damage my hair a LOT! Can someone please help me? Thanks! :)

I still have a boxed dye that I purchased at Sally two years ago. The boxes don't mention an expiration date. Does the dye expire or does it last a long time?

To be honest it depends on how it was stored. If it has been subjected to temperature change and direct sun, indirect sun fluctuation it can definitely affect it. Also, storage, being properly sealed, tampered can clearly cause it to be affected as well. If it is a permanent color where you mix one bottle with the other, look when you open the color bottle. If it looks like the color that is going to be the end result on your hair before mixing the 2 nd bottle with it, it has turned and you should throw it out. If it looks as if it is lighter than your end result and when you mix it it gradually gets darker, it is fine. That is for permanent color only.Hope this help! Thanks!

How long will left over hair dye that has been capped securely be good to use?

This is something you first want to check with the directions for the color you're using. Usually, a good indicator of how long the color can still be used during an application is the amount of time it directs you to leave it on the hair before washing. I've worked with different dyes that would be usable for as little as 8 minutes and some as much as 45 minutes. When I was in school they suggested that if you want no fail flawless color application, you should mix a new bowl of color every fifteen minutes and discard any remainder that sits longer than that. Different hair dyes will have different time frames before mixing a new bowl, but 15 minutes has never let me down in some serious color application.
