How long should i wait before calling the doctor back?
An hour seems like an eternity when you are waiting, but it's not uncommon for a doctors office. They usually try to return calls in between patients or after lunch, sometimes at the end of the day.At least that has been the policy at most doctors offices I have worked at. You can always try calling back and explaining that you don't have a cell and don't want to miss his call, it may not work. You may get ahold of an unsympathetic nurse. ( I hope not ) I have had people call back 5 times in an hour and it was frustrating because my hands would be tied. I couldn't pull the doctor out of a room or stop a procedure when we had 15 people in the waiting room, the hospital on another line, a referring doctor demanding a return call and 10 other messages to give him,blood draws, prescriptions to be called in, patients to take back. It just may be simply a matter of him being slammed with alot of sick people in his office at the moment.I know it is irritating on your end.
Can I wait until tommorow to visit the doc regarding mastitis?
I have an appt with my primary care doctor tomorrow at 11am. I know I have mastitis as I have had it before, just not this bad. I am wondering do I need to go to ER or can this wait until tomorrow? My current temp 99.9, there is no red lines just an overall redness. It hurts like heck but I think I can tough it out until tomorrow. What could happen if I just waited until tomorrow? I am so afraid that if I wait I will get to sick.
Blood in urine, wait till tomorrow or go to ER now?
Yesterday i had my check up with gynecologist. He said i had yeast infection and prescribed me Diflucan 150mg tablet to treat it. I was busy yesterday so i waited till after work today to pick it up. However, around 2 PM i had this excruciating pain in my pelvic area and when i went to urinate, my urine was slightly pinkish. And I had this severe burning pain when i would try to pee. About half an hour after that i just had this constant urge to urinate, but when i try, not only does it hurt but i couldn't actually pee. Fast forward to 8pm. and my urine was definitely bloody.. it was that true red color. Wait till morning and call my doctor, or head straight to ER now?
Bulimia- vomiting blood. Should i go to the ER?
Hope, I read your question yesterday about quitting the outpatient treatment. Now I'm reading that you're vomiting blood. Sweetie, you need help. You are tearing up your esophagus, amongst other things. It might wait until tomorrow, but since we can't see what's going on inside you I'd go to the doc sooner. This may be harsh, but I am in no way trying to be mean. I was a purging anorexic for eight years. Eight years of hell that I will never get back. In those eight years, I destroyed my body, lost my friends...lost myself. I also lost my mother to the same insidious disease when I was 18 months old. Please, please, please don't waste any more time on this monster. It will ruin you, whereas living can be pretty darn good. Hugs. Please take care of you.
How long after being cut will a doctor stitch a wound?
All the years I worked in the emergency room, I never ceased to be amazed at the number of young men who at the urging of their mother, their wife or girlfriend, came in the next morning to have a cut or wound attended to. Too late. Wound healing and the knitting of tissues has already started.Now the person will have a much worse appearing scar, perhaps for life. The other alternative is to have a cosmetic scar revision in the future. But that will be a much larger operation and a larger scar than it would have been if the original wound had prompt medical attention and was sutured up.An open (non sutured) wound must heal by “3rd intention”. That means that it must SLOWLY heal from the bottom most tissues upward to avoid sealing in any germs as would have been prevented by prompt suturing.
Sick puppy white gums vomiting?
8 week old puppy has white gums is vomiting but isnt yet dehydrated but is very weak, what can I give him tonight till I get him to the vet tomorrow (time now is 09:11pm)
