Should I Wear Shorts Capris Or Jeans When I Go See My Grandma On Friday

What should i wear to my grandma's 80th birthday party?

tomorrow were having a party for my grandmas 80 birthday. My whole dads side is going, so what should i wear?

im 5' 7, 16 years old, brown hair, brown eyes. thin body.

I was just thinking like, skinny jeans, pink flowy tank top tucked in, skinny brown belt, cute grey sweater, and a white flats, and my hair in a loose bun or straight and down. with minimal makeup.

any ideas?

Does wearing capris with a long cardigan make your legs look short?

Well, how tall are you to begin with? And when you say long cardigan, are we talking low-hip length, or mid-thigh length? It makes a difference. :) I would say if the cardigan hits about low-hip or so, as long as you were to wear heels or maybe tall, heeled boots (I think tall boots look cool under gauchos or cropped pants) you'll be all right. But if the cardigan is lower, I would avoid wearing it with capris no matter how tall you are. It'll just look like your pants shrunk.

Really, though - no matter what length it is, I would wear it with heels or taller shoes. You'll definitely look stumpy without them. And if it's one of those "boyfriend" cardigans that are so popular now, maybe wear a wide belt over it so that you don't look like your grandmother.

You know what, why don't I just come pick out the outfit... LOL

Can you wear socks with capri pants?

Grandma, is that you?

Is it ok for girls to wear capri pants in cairo, alexandria in Egypt?

i am Egyptian and you can wear whatever you like but it depend on the place you are going to , for example you cant wander around in some low class or poor areas while you are wearing shorts
but in general it's quite safe to wear whatever you want

How do u convince your parents to let u wear short clothes?

Okay, so I'm Indian as well as my parents. I have gotta say, my parents are conservative, but Atleast a little better than others. When I was little, I was aloud to wear anything I wanted, weather it was shorts, dresses, tang tops, bikinis, etc. From the 6th grade, my dad stopped letting me wear skirts and shorts and such stuff unless it's for the gym, or field day, or six flags, or the pool. I live in U.S...where everyone wears shorts, and I'm the only e not aloud to. Even my other Indian friends that my mom knows are aloud. I'm not aloud to wear dresses above knee legnth,no skirts....and it's reallly annoying and embarrassing when ur st a party, and ur the Only one wearing jeans.i really want to convince them, instead of going behind their back, but idk how to convince..pleaassees heelllpppp me!!!! I reallly want to be aloud free

How do I convince my Muslim parents to let me wear shorts?

I don’t know if you’ve ever lived in a Sharia Muslim country, but I’ve lived in a few, so let me explain to you the way this tends to work. You have your walking-to-the-mailbox clothes, your leaving-your-house clothes, and your arriving-at-your-destination clothes.Walking to the mailbox requires no strategy. It’s whatever you happen to be wearing.Leaving your house, you wear loose and conservative garments, preferably made from a wrinkle free and collapsible material that can be easily concealed in a modestly sized handbag.Your arriving-at-your-destination clothes are worn underneath your leaving-your-house clothes. As such, they cannot have a lot of volume, but otherwise all bets are off. Hot pants, crop tops, whatever tickles your fancy. They just need to be concealable. Bonus points if your “arriving at destination” clothes look plausibly enough like conservative underwear. That way you can wash them in the regular family laundry, dress super risque for your friends, and nobody’s the wiser. Black spandex booty shorts and a camisole come to mind.So basically what happens is you leave the house dressed approximately like Aunt Jemima minus the apron. When you get where you’re going, you strip to your (fashionable) skivvies and put the Aunt Jemima costume in your purse. You can see this strategy in action, in the opening scene of Syriana. People might have differing views of the feasibility of the movie plot writ large, but lemme tell you that first scene is spot on. Sadly I couldn’t find the Syriana girl doing this very thing on YouTube, but I assure you it’s in there, and maybe you can find it on Netflix or something. Now some people might say it’s dishonest to pull the wool on your parents like this, and perhaps it is, but I also think that people should be able to wear whatever the hell they want, and there is an element in both Muslim governance, as well as parent-child relations of “if they didn’t see it, it didn’t happen.”And now I’m going to drink a cup of hemlock for corrupting the youth!

How do you wear distressed jeans, without looking trashy!?

Today, I just wore distressed jeans! They're ripped from the thigh to the knee, but not so ripped that you can see skin, only when you like stretch it out or whatever:P
I rolled them up to be capris and wore a white v-neck top with like this rose made of words on it and a striped vest. I know it sounds kinda weird, lmao, but it looks really cute in person. I love mixing patterns:)
Hope I helped!
Just make the top part sweet looking if you're going for that look:)

And I just put them in the wash, we'll see what happens!D:

Okay! I just took it out of the wash and it looks fine! But when I put it in the dryer, I put it on Extra Low [Delicates]

GoodLuck!:)
