Should I Worry About Weak Heart Beat/pounding

What are some more ways to describe a pounding heart?

My favorite is comparing the heart to the wings of a hummingbird. Not too cliche, and gets the point across, plus they're my favorite bird. ^-^
ex: "Heart fluttered like the wings of a hummingbird"

Or comparison to drums.
ex: "his heart beat drummed within his ears"

Or you can describe the physical aspect of the beating.
ex: "His pulse vibrated within his ears"

My heart is pounding really hard and slow, why?

Take your pulse ( in your neck or wrist) for 1 minute. If it is less than 60, then it's "slow". Not to fear, though. If you are in good shape and physically fit, a pulse of 50 or so is not abnormal. Do you feel anxiety about anything? It sounds more like to me that you are consciously thinking about your heart and whether there could be something wrong. If you do feel that you have a problem, go see your general practitioner ( your regular doctor) and have them refer you to a cardiologist. Good luck.

What does it mean to have a resting heart rate of 120 beats per minute?

There are quite a few good answers to your question. I will focus my attention to feelings of the person having heart rate 120 bpm.You will definitely notice if your heart starts to beat by this or higher beat rate. What might be confusing is the fact that we do not usually feel the actual heart rate but we do feel indirect signs of it.So how does someone having heart rate of 120 bpm feels:Sweating is very probably increased. It will be the cold sweat.Almost for sure your breathing rythm and intensity will change. This is the most obvious change of bodily functions that is noticed first.Weaknes of muscles in substantially increased.Your digestion is affected. It is often that your body instantly release all content of the intestines and bladder.Usually, the apetite is decreased and there is no need to eat.Mind is confused and thinking becomes unclear. It may be or may not be obvious that the heart rate is increased. Normal untrained people do not feel their actual heart rate.Your emotions might become more unstable. There is a substantially increased probability that an anxiety occurs.Body is tired. Body requires more relaxation and sleep.Simultaneously, it is difficult or impossible to fall asleep. The running heart is waiking you up.For sure some symptoms are missing here. Symptoms are different in different people. Some people tolerate such tachycardia states without any symptoms but they can fail abruptly.Good news in the end. There is luckily a very good message. Diseased heart can be controlled by mind to the unexpected levels. This can be trained under supervision of cardiologist, specialized psychologist, and even Yoga and Qigong Masters. Everybody can check my past and the future answers on this topic. We can try to understand every disease as our training procedure that enables us to achieve unanticipated abilities and to provide a help to others who might benefit from our experience. It is a good idea to refer to the previous question and answers there Is 120 heart beats per minute a healthy rate for someone over 200 pounds? (and to my answer there Jiří Kroc's answer to Is 120 heart beats per minute a healthy rate for someone over 200 pounds?).

My heart is beating hard and loudly?

Is it dangerous for it to be like this for days? I have iron deficiency anemia, but I've been eating the medicine for about three weeks now. I'm at the end of this months period, so I guess that's why it got worse, but I'm scared. I have a nasty headache too, and I feel dizzy and slightly like I might lose my mind, which makes everything worse.

Should I be worried, what if my heart stops from pounding this hard? It doesn't hurt but... I couldn't sleep last night because of it.

Is my heart pounding and low heart rate from my Adderall?

I am a 31y/o female in relatively good shape. I am however not in great health. Have an auto immune disease and no thyroid due to, now resolved, cancer. Well I have been taking Adderall for a couple of years to treat a sleep disorder I have and some adult add. About a month ago I decided to try and manage my sleep and concentration issues naturally. Without success I might add. Yesterday I started my medication again and I started feeling my heart pounding. My pulse rate has dropped a bit. It has been in the 70s and lower. I know that is ok but mine usually runs between 90 and 100 at rest. Also I have been getting muscle twitches all over my body and when I went to lie down last night I could feel my heartbeat very strong in my back. I know I have been off of it for a month so i did not take the dosage i was before. I took half. I normally take 20mg 2 times a day when I take it. Has anyone else had this happen on this medication or do I need to worry and make a dr apt today? I do not have any weakness or chest pain. I am having a little in my neck . Is it possible that my body is just trying to readjust to the medication? I didn't take it every day before but it was on average 4 days a week for 2 yrs now.

My heart randomly starts beating fast?

Im thinking a panic attack. Anxiety and stress can bring something like this on. Also I was diagnosed with SVT Supraventricular Tachycardia and thats when my heart beats very fast and pounds which is palpitations. My heart rate goes up to 188 bpm. Also it starts and stops suddenly. My doctor let me know that its actually not a problem for my heart to beat fast like that if i was 80 for sure it would be a problem. Go see your doctor so they can run test and determine if its anxiety or maybe something that could be seen by a cardiologist. They can tell you alll you need to know! Dont just worry and do nothing do something about it, its worth it. If you want to know more just leave me a comment and let me know.! Hope everything goes well.

Why do I sometimes feel that my heart is beating in my head?

People notice things they otherwise don’t notice when it’s quiet, or when they’re worried/anxious, thus will notice small things they otherwise wouldn’t have taken notice of; it is a wonder that we don’t more often notice our heartbeat, going on 24/7, 60 to 90 bpm during our whole life. The urban myth that one can hear or feel an asymptomatic brain aneurysm is just that, an unsubstantiated myth.

Why was my heart beating so fast when I smoked weed?

Hi I am a 20 year old male and i came across this thread because I just came out of the hospital after having smoked what I estimated to have been less than a gram of sputnik (a sativa dominant hybrid) that I was just trying for the first time to do some quality testing of what I had just acquired. What happened was approximately 15 mins after I had smoked it my heart started pounding like it was going to explode or punch a hole through my rib-cage, my body proceeded to become completely numb starting on the left side.I immediately called the ambulance and got to the hospital, they recorded my heart rate continuously fluctuating between 160–176bpm for 7 hours straight. It is important to note at no point did I ever feel high or buzzed, just chest pain and numbness, while remaining fully alert.I am going to send it to be tested in case it was laced but it is highly unlikely it was laced, considering I know where it came from. I have smoked weed before, socially with a few friends and I never got much more than calm, giggly and eventually a little hungry, this was one hell of an experience that I do not intend to repeat and I will tell you if anything affects your heart rate in any way that should make you feel panic, just stop it.It could have killed me, they had a cardiac arrest team on standby almost the entire time I was in the hospital. Luckily the effects wore off and i am back to normal, being almost textbook 70–80bpm and have sworn off weed consumption completely.
