Should This Guy Be Allowed To Carry An Ar15 In Walmart

Can you easily buy a gun in Walmart?

Sure…Depending on the state, and sometimes the location in the state…You say you want to purchases the gun…The clerk (as he is required to do by federal law - e.g., everywhere) pulls out a form 4473 for you to complete and sign. You also have to provide some sort of state issued ID so that the clerk can verify that you are who you say you are… and that information goes into a “system” to verify that you are not a prohibited person.Assuming that you are not a felon - or have been adjudicated mentally incapable, and have truthfully answered all of the questions on the form attesting that you are not… a felon, or crazy, or a domestic abuser, or a drug user, etc. … (or that you have a name that is similar, or a SSN that is similar, or a driver’s license ID, to a prohibited person)…You will now be subjected to federal (and sometimes additional state) abuses of your 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Amendment rights… all that just to exercise your 2nd Amendment right to purchase a firearm…AND you get to pay for the privilege! Anywhere from $30–50 in my neck of the woods…If all goes well, you can also spend money there to buy “target ammo” but still generally leave the Walmart with some of your money (it is Walmart after all) and about half of the Bill of Rights intact…

How old do you have to be to buy BB guns at walmart in GA?

Well if you look at Cabela’s what you will find is no age limit.
ATTENTION: Residents of MI, NY, NJ, IL, MA, DE and OH please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering any air rifles or air pistols.
The key words is “local laws”.
As to wal mart my son bought his their and was age12 and only thing needed was parents approval at the time.
Some states and cities may have some rules that must be adhered to, but not where I live.
As to a nation wide requirement, for firearms yes but for air rifles not that I know of.

As to Americans being dumb.
Well all I have to say to that is, we have never been ruled over by a Queen and our population still has our weapon’s to use as we please 24/7.
We Americans are so dumb that our forefathers drafted the very documents that set our countries apart.
As it looks next year you all on the other side of our northern border will have to get permission soon to go p i s s.

That my dumb opinion.

What are the requirements to buy a gun from Walmart?

Be able to pay for the gun. They’re funny that way.Bring your driver’s license or state ID card. You’ll need that.Bring a recent (30–60 days) piece of mail that has your name & address on it that matches what’s on your ID. The mail should be a utility bill, rental/lease agreement or similar document. Some states require this to confirm your address. If your car registration matches you can use that.Check with Wal*Mart or a local gun shop if there are charges to conduct the background check. In some states it may cost you an extra $19–$25.Also ask the above if any special documents are required. Some states or jurisdictions require you to have a permit to purchase or some other document - a firearms owner ID (FOID) card (Illinois), Firearms Safety Certificate (California). Costs for these are extra and you may need to obtain the document in advance. If buying a handgun bring a lockable gun case or purchase one from Wal-Mart with an inexpensive padlock or keylock. Most states require the gun to be in a locked container when transporting it. Do not assume the glove box or console to be a legal locked container. You need to be able to answer NO to the following questions on Form 4473:Are you under indictment or information in any court for a felony?Have you ever been convicted in any court of a felony? Are you a fugitive from justice? Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?Have you ever been adjudicated mentally defective or committed to a mental institution?Have you been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions? Are you subject to a court order restraining you from harassing, stalking, or threatening your child or an intimate partner or child of such partner?Have you ever been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence?Have you ever renounced your United States citizenship? Are you an alien illegally in the United States? The dealer will contact the FBI background check system for approval to release the firearm to you. If you live in certain states (like California) there may be a waiting period before you can take possession of your firearm.

Are brand name guns you buy at Walmart poorer quality than the same gun bought elsewhere?

Firearms are different. Because they are generally considered a low-volume, precision product, it is not cost effective to tool up an entire assembly line just to sell an inferior product to one customer, even one as large as Wal-Mart.

Besides that, firearms are items which have close tolerances and safety concerns. Just how much would you want your quality compromised for a "good" price, eh?

When it comes to guns, you'll notice Wal-Mart sells 'em for only a few bucks cheaper than what the gunshops sell them for. That's your "Volume Discount" in the thousands of units. There just isn't a whole lot of profit in guns -- but most folks like to buy accessories with their guns -- sell more guns, sell more accessories, which have higher markups.

I have seen evidence of what you discuss -- back when I was a locksmith, the products we purchased from our distributor were the exact brand BUT DIFFERENT STOCK NUMBER as the ones in wal-mart, but when you opened the package, the Wal-Mart ones were significantly inferior. And it was a major name brand of lock. It's almost as if they only sold certain stock numbers to Wal-Mart, which looked identical, but obviously were not.

They don't do that with firearms. You really can't -- there aren't that many "stock number" options to choose from. A Remington 770 is a Remington 770. But Wal-Mart may sell the 770 because it's the "budget line" Remington rifle, whereas a gun shop will sell the 700 and the 770, and the knowledgeable buyer will buy the 700.

So if the product number is the same, the product is the same. But yes, some manufacturers only sell the cheap stuff to Wal-Mart because they know the customer demographic. You don't go to Wal-Mart to buy a Holland and Holland.

To be fair, however, Wal-Mart does carry common models and name brands for firearms -- and I've considered buying there once or twice -- it's just that they never seem to be in stock when I have money, and they're overstocked when I don't.

But that's just life.

How much is a remington 870 express 12 gauge at walmart ?

Where I live, they're about $250. The price differs depending on where you live. Go to a local Wal-Mart that sells guns, and find one in the spinning displays, and look at the price. If the price tag says $250, you'll pay $250 plus tax. If it says $500, you'll pay $500 plus tax.

I'm not sure why you have to ask repeatedly. Traveling to a Wal-Mart isn't exactly a difficult trip unless you live on top of a mountain in the middle of the Rockies, where the drive would take 5 hours.

And Wal-Mart guns are the same gun you'd get anywhere else. Gun manufacturers don't make cheaper guns to sell at big box stores- it's just that bigger stores and chains can purchase more guns at one time, which decreases the cost of individual guns. What you'd pay $300 or more for at a gun shop might only cost $200 at a Wal-Mart. Then again, a gun shop will have infinitely more expertise, generally. It all depends on how much you personally know, whether you are willing to buy from a Wal-Mart or whether you want to seek out advice at a gun shop.
