Should We Care About Air Pollution

Why do people care about air pollution?

I haven't met anyone that wants to pollute the air or water. If they do, they are idiots and probably need help. There is a political movement that pretends those who don't adhere to any of their statist desires want to pollute the planet. That is what the environmental movement is about. Statists typically like to pretend that anyone who thinks government isn't the solution whatever particular agenda they are pushing for the day are racists or want to pollute. What is amazing is how many people are gullible enough to believe it.

Air pollution slogans?

1. Air Pollution is not a joke, Air Pollution will make you choke
2. if u pollute the air, then the air will pollute u!
3. Wake up and smell the smog
4. Be ACTIVE about radioactive emissions!
5.Air pollution is a bad solution.
6.Don’t let our future go up in smoke
7.The value of life will suffer a dilution If you do not fight air pollution
8. Smoke from cars are like cigarrettes to the Earth
9.be a part of the solution not part of the pollution
10. shield the earth and shield yourself from air pollution
11. Cutting the trees is as cutting the health.
12. go green breath clean
13.Show you care about the air
14.The more pollution in the sky, the more nature dies
15.Clear skies, clear concience!
16. SAVE!!!!

hope it may help u.

Why don't most people care about pollution?

Have you ever heard about how lobsters are cooked? If you threw it at boiling water it would try to escape, but if you heated the water slowly, the lobster would die slowly and without resisting. We humans are the lobster. It’s true that nobody likes pollution in theory. In practice the harsh truth is that pollution effects are so long term most people don’t even notice them and they might as a well not be there.Yes, pollution is bad, but its subtlety is what makes it dangerous. You see polluted air from the outskirts of your city and you worry. But in your everyday life, it’s pretty much invisible.Though you might wonder why there are no starsWe hear how separating trash is important. And it is. But in your average day life. As as soon as the garbage man takes it, it stops being relevant in your life.Global warming is real. No doubt. But you have to admit, it’s not something your average person would discover on their own. It really is invisible.Even an intelligent scientist like Richard Muller was (but not anymore) skeptical about global warming. Those melting ice caps? You only see them in photos.Climate being weirder? Days being warmer? Most people shrug it offIt’s not like you can change climate anyway, right? (Wrong)This is a danger your instincts warn you about. But this?It just doesn’t happen as naturally.

Why should we care about air pollution?

headache, watery eyes, cough, bronchitis, lung’s cancer, nauseaheart disease are among dangerous effects on human from pollution..—use wind, nuclear, solar energy.increase trees.

Why is pollution a problem?

Easy 10 points!

can some one please write about why pollution is a problem and about 100-200 words if you can. that would be awesome and ill give u 10 points for a specefic, best reason why its a problem. thnx. and dont bother saying do ure own homework becuase im going away were there is no computers:)

Do conservatives care about air pollution from fossil fuels, and if so why can't we all agree on trying to reduce them?

I don’t think it is a function of liberal or conservative but a function of lost revenue to a large group of industries. This will also cause a major change in lifestyle for all of us and require an approach to solving the problem that will affect most of the large energy producers on a world wide scale.

Who should bear responsibility for the health impacts of air pollution?

This is a VERY big question.. Initially I recommend you check out the story of the “tragedy of the commons” Tragedy of the commons - Wikipedia to investigate shared use of common resources. Then realize this is the best argument for air pollution control at the source of the air pollution.. the polluter pays for the costs of air pollution mitigation and thus bears the responsibility for mitigation of the impacts.

Why do conservatives think the only reason we care about pollution is because of "global warming"?

considering the fact that global warming is not man made, it is a cycle, both democrats and conservatives have it all wrong. (uh oh did i just blow your mind mr. Neo Con...there are liberals who dont belive in man caused global warming!!)

CO2 emmmisions have a negligble effect on overall weather patterns - proven fact

but on the other hand, now that it is proven that man doesnt cause climate change, the Cons are clinging on to that as if it were some sort of holy grail. their real goal is to strip away all environmental protections. Have any conservatives ever thought i am more worried about breathing dirty air than i am of polar bears.

back in the 90s we didnt talk about "climate change" we talked about pollution, and liberal or conservative, no body wants lung cancer.

I live in one of the most polluted city in the United States (houston Tx), and i can tell you, people here are always sick, always suffering from allergies and colds in the middle of summer. It is just nasty air to breathe.

i think the democrats are their own worst enemy because they take something simple like "dont pollute" into some sort of global warming conspiracy. screw the weather, the EPA isnt here to stop global warming, its so that there isnt nuclear waste in the air and we dont have a huge black smog cloud over our skys like almost all of asia does.

how about both sides end all the hyberbole and use facts. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you wrap your lips around a tail pipe, you are not going to last very long

Why are Indians not concerned about pollution?

Though I agree with all answers about our highly polluted states and our inappropriate and careless approach towards pollution emission, but as a nation the statistics for the most pollution emitting countries are totally different.CO2 emissions are being 'outsourced' by rich countries to rising economiesOutsourcing of emissions comes in the form of electronic devices such as smartphones, cheap clothes and other goods manufactured in China and other rising economies but consumed in the US and Europe.Per Capita Emissions -Emissions on a per capita basis bring contributions to climate change down to an individual level. Looking at this metric, the order of our top 10 emitters changes considerably.Among the top 10 absolute emitters, only two have per capita emissions that are below the world average. Canada, the United States, and Russia emit more than double the global average per person. On the other end of the spectrum, India’s per capita emissions are only one-third of the global average.Emissions IntensityThe level of GHG emissions per GDP is a commonly used metric of emissions intensity. It is useful when looking at the de-carbonization of the national economy or energy system. The graph above shows emissions intensity for the top 10 emitters’ whole economies and energy sectors. For the energy sector, the world average is 372 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) per Million $GDP, but intensities vary across countries. Seven of the top 10 emitters actually have a below average emissions intensity; Russia, China and Canada are above the world average. These differences result from varying emissions levels and size of economy, but are also dependent on factors such as a country’s energy mix the carbon intensity of sectors like electricity and heat generation, manufacturing, and transportation. All these statistics signify that not just Indians but citizens of other more developed nations are far less concerned about pollution emission.Sourcehttps://wri.org/blog/2014/11/6-g...https://www.theguardian.com/envi...
