Severe back head and neck pain after drinking alcohol?

Hello, recently I had a big night out with friends and had a few excess beers/ wine glasses than I would normally (5-6). I woke up the next morning with a hangover and a dull persistent pain at the base of my head where the neck connects and the sides of the neck. It became quite severe and I had to see a doctor who gave me a voltaren shot. After a few hours the pain returned and the next day I saw another doctor who dismissed it as being irritated and gave me muscle relaxant (Lagaflex). Today I saw a Chinese medicine practitioner who concluded it was Cervical spondylosis and I had acupuncture and physio. I did feel better for a few hours but the pain is back. I have noticed that this pain usually starts whenever I have a lot of alcohol (i am not a binge drinker so it would mean 5-6 drinks once in a while). I am starting to get worried. Please advise as doctors aren't taking this seriously and I can't seems to understand its connection with alcohol. thanks.
