Simple Question. What Is Your Job

Simple tax question please?

Hello, I will keep the numbers small and easy in this example. Lets say I do a job for someone and go through a broker. The broker pays me $1000 for the job so that is what is sent to my bank account. However on the work order you see that the job paid $1200, the broker took $200, and paid me the $1000. Come tax time, do I report I made $1200 and paid $200 to the broker as an expense? Or do I just report I made $1000?

Test your skills! help me with a simple question!?

I quit my job what happens to my simple IRA?

Your Simple IRA remains in your name after you leave the company, and you will continue to receive statements that tell how much interest it earned or how the stocks you own fluctuated. In order to actually close the account you will need to either cash it out or roll the money over into another account (typically an individual IRA). Even if you meant for the company to close the Simple IRA account and send you a check, they may have misinterpreted your instructions and thought that you just wanted to stop contributing because honestly it's not very smart to cash out this type of account unless you desperately need the money. Since the money was tax deferred under special IRS rules that apply to retirement plans, you will have to pay income tax on whatever amount you take out of the plan prior to retirement age. That can be a very hefty chunk of tax, not to mention that the money cannot continue to grow tax free. To keep the money tax deferred (i.e. not have to pay anything now), you can roll it into your IRA, or I think you can roll it into your new company's 401(k) or simple IRA.

If it has only been a couple months since you instructed them to stop purchasing stock, they may still be processing your last couple purchases. The company has a certain amount of time to make the contribution to your retirement plan after they take it out of your paycheck. I think it's 30 days, but maybe they're just a little behind. In any case, your HR department should be able to sort it out.

Do I have to do my job at first duty station?

Wow, I ask a simple question, and the first answer I get is from some weenie not only not answering my question, but accusing me of not being in the military. And to top it off, he's a retired AF 1SG! I'm sure the AF wanted you to stop representing them a long time ago, buddy. Please stop being a blemish on their ***.
Please, no more opinions. If I hear one more answer from a uninformed (like there's any other kind) military wife, I think I'll die.

----But for the record, I'm not complaining about doing the job I'm doing, I actually like it. I was just curious.

How would you answer the interview question 'what is your aim in life'?

I don't know whether it's the right answer or not, but i can't pretend that I have big aims n all. So, I would say what I am.I don't plan anything in life. Therefore I don't have any aim. But yes, like many, I have dreams, which I want to live in my life & for that I will earn money so that I can contribute to my dream. But also, I will not work just because I have dream & I need to earn money to get there. But I want to do a work, which I can enjoy. I would not feel like "o, another day I have to go to office." No. infact I wanna say, "yes, today is my office day." When I started to find jobs, I didn't plan that i would come to you for interview. It's that I like the job profile, that's why i came here. That's the job I want to do. Simple.

Simple machine?

The purpose of any simple machine is to allow a job to be done with less force than would normally be needed. However, when a string of simple machines are added together to accomplish a task, the overall efficiency of the machine decreases. Write a brief essay explaining why the efficiency of a complex machine decreases as more simple machines are used. Be sure to include a discussion on the Conservation of Energy in your explanation
