For liberals?
Politicians have learned in recent years that the way you talk about a problem or an issue has a lot to do with the way people feel about it (and vote about it). If your side determines the terms in which the problem is talked about, it's easier to win. This is why, for instance, people opposed to abortion call it 'baby killing'. Or people who are against the war are called 'appeasers', and the idea of backing out of Iraq is called 'surrender'. When it comes to liberals, the Republican Party has worked for years to identify that word with everything bad. Liberals are racist, they say, because they think blacks need help to succeed. Liberals want the government to 'redistribute wealth', to 'force not equality of opportunity but equality of results', that kind of thing. And of course the Democrats, for some demented reason, only want to make the government bigger and more powerful and raise taxes. To conservatives in the US today, 'liberal' means anyone they disagree with or anything they don't like. So Hitler was a liberal and so was Stalin. Anyone they disgree with. Newt Gingrich called Bill Clinton 'the most liberal president in US history'. But Clinton wasn't really very liberal at all, Gingrich was just saying he really didn't like him. Since the 80s a big industry has sprung up in right wing radio and TV to help define liberalism as evil. These guys spend all day telling their followers how liberalism is bad. The hardly ever have a real liberal on to explain his views, though. But real liberalism is really no more than the idea that 'good' is the most good for the biggest number of people. Capitalism in America has gone off the track. The idea used to be that it was a partnership between capital and labor, each needed the other and both had their rights to negotiate. But today it's just capital, that's all. Corporate profits used to be allowed because they brought a greater good to the community, but today profit itself is the greater good, even if most people have to lose economic status. And corporations now have the same rights as humans but can't be held responsible when they break the law. Conservatives call anyone who criticizes this situation a 'socialist', but the situation is really getting out of hand.
Why is most media liberal?
Most media is whatever the government wants it to be and reports as such...so I don't know why most media is liberal, I just know that most media doesn't report anything unless it's A-okay with the government, and that which is reported...well if you want to believe it go ahead..we're in such a world of hurt, what does it matter. PS..sorry you don't have a job..have you heard the statistics on those people that stand around with a sign? The ones I've talked to make more money than I do!!! Just make sure you have some good tunes..but don't dance around like the guys holding advertisement signs..I think it'd take away from the effect...
When will Liberals finally give Fox News the credibility that it deserves?
Fox news was the first (and only) source of information (on TV) that leaned right. Hence they are a threat. That's what it's about. Hence the campaign to discredit them. They had a monopoly on media for 40+ years. They don't want to share the airwaves I've been on Y/A since 2008.. I have asked many, many times for a proven "lie" from fox news (not a talk show) Not a graphic error etc, but a "Lie".. To date, no liberal has been able to present one. All the do is cut/past from media matters (which is laughable if you're trying to find truth) to discredit the "opinions' of one of the talk show members

bettysdad you could not be more wrong. The founding fathers were NOT liberal in terms of what the word means today. They were liberal according the original meaning, which is those who believe in liberty, where the word is derived from; and a limited role of government in citizens' lives. That's not what "modern-day liberals" believe. Today's liberal movement started in the late 19th Century, and they were originally called progressives. They changed the name of their movement to fool people into believing they are something they are not. Much like China calls itself the People's Republic of China. I guess this trick worked on you. Liberals or more correctly progressives did not get us out of the Great Depression. In fact, FDR's socialist legislation prolonged the depression. Adolph Hitler was the man responsible for ultimately ending the depression in the United States. The US was still in the depression until the US entered World War II. The war economy is what ended the depression. I would hardly say that liberals won World War II either, nearly all of the generals and admirals were Republicans not Democrats, Eisenhower, MacArthur, Patton, Arnold, Bradley, King, Nimitz, and Halsey. If anyone deserves more credit for winning World War II, they do not FDR. Liberals passed the budget giving Reagan all of the weapons he used to defeat the USSR? You are kidding right, now liberals want to take credit for winning the Cold War? What a joke. If liberals were responsible for ending the Cold War, then why didn't they pass the same budgets for the same weapons when Jimmy Carter was President? Reagan had to fight long and hard against the Democratic Congress to get his budgets passed. Carter could have done this without a fight. Ouch, I guess logic hurts when it is used against you! Your statements are paradoxical nonsense. Now to answer the question. Yes they are Americans, but they do not believe in the ideals for which this country was founded.
