Since The Rock Is Playing Captain Marvel

What is the controversy behind the Captain Marvel movie?

I am going to skip right over the fact that no comic fan actually likes Captain Marvel and the fact that she is low tier on the power scale in the comics but Disney is marketing her as the most powerful Avenger and go right to what I actually consider the main controversy at the moment is and what will probably sink the movie. So after almost three years of hype they finally dropped the trailer for the Captain Marvel movie. And… lets just say it was dull. Really, really dull. There wasn’t much to get excited about in the trailer and and to top if off Brie Larson, someone who somehow won an academy award, manages to have the same bored wooden look on her face in every scene. I mean there is literally a scene where she is having electricity shot through her brain and she still looks bored. So people pointed this out and in response Brie Larson and the shill media went full Ghostbusters 2016 and attacked anyone who didn’t like the trailer as a sexist. As if there has never been a female in the MCU before. You know because that has worked so well in the past. If people give you any kind of constructive criticism there is no reason to learn from it. Instead just attack them as a racist or a sexist. That will make them want to see your movie. In short, I think the main controversy with Captain Marvel is the way that the people in charge and their puppets in the media are responding to the honest opinions of the fans.We already saw a Star Wars movie flop for the same reason recently. Something a few years ago I would have thought was impossible. So I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the first MCU flop. I just thought it wouldn’t happen until after Infinity War part 2.

Who will be Captain Marvel in the Shazam movie??

Dude - have you seen this Molale guy? He's a superhero waiting to happen! Wonder why he hasn't been tapped yet? Looks from his website he may know something we don't about Captain Marvel!!

What does Brie Larson's selection as Captain Marvel say about Marvel's casting?

She looks a touch darker (uniform & hair color) than the current Marvel comic version of Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), but still it looks reasonable in a still photograph, I’d venture.

Since its been confirmed The Rock is playing Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam film, then who would be a convincing Captain Marvel?

I can honestly say that I was disappointed and confused when I heard about The Rock playing Black Adam because his ability to act as playful and innocent (see his more light-hearted films like Journey 2 The Mysterious Island and The Tooth Fairy), combined with his build, made him a natural for Captain Marvel.  Alas, that's been ruined. The difficult thing with Captain Marvel is that you have to play him as both a superhero...and as a kid PLAYING superhero. That's a hard thing to do...you need to be big and strong, able to play macho and heroic, while also having the wide-eyed wonder of a child seeing and doing all these things. When I look at pictures of Captain Marvel, I'm struck by how much he looks like Patrick Warburton. While Warburton has the height and can have the build, sadly, he just doesn't have the dramatic acting chops to pull it off (yes, I know, "But the Rock does?"...work with me here). So, this leaves a fairly small pool of actors to choose from. Vin Diesel is a possibility; again, we have an actor that has proven the ability to play "goofy" (The Pacifier) with the size necessary. We do run into the problem that he looks absolutely nothing like Shazam, but, that's not necessarily a requirement. An actor who may be able to pull it off is Brandon Routh; yes, I know, he already played Superman, and yes, he's currently playing Atom...but he has the ability to be charming and goofy, while also having the gravitas to be this superhero. Now, there is a slight problem: Marvel and Adam are supposed to be very similar to each other, physically. In the comics, their size and builds are very close. In comparing Dwayne Johnson and Brandon Routh, there's just no comparison: Johnson is several inches taller and probably a good 60-70 pounds heavier, with all that being pure muscle. That's just not fair, unless the goal is to make the Captain seem to be at a disadvantage.I have one final recommendation, and while this is a long-shot, the guy has shown a slight ability to act, and he's DEFINITELY the right size to go up against the Rock. He has charisma, he has the looks, the charm. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...J.J. Watt.

What Marvel or DC villian could you see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playing?

ABSORBING MAN WITHOUT A DOUBT! Don’t you think? For DC: Probably Lex Luthor

What's the song from the avengers that iron man played while arriving in Germany to help captain america?

In the movie The Avengers, Iron Man went to Germany to help Captain America capture Loke. When he arrived, he hacked the plane that the Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) was in and it played rock music really loud for people all around to hear. He then said, "did you miss me."
What was the song that iron man made the plane play?
