Skype Inviting Members

Skype: what is the difference between blocking someone and removing them from your contacts?

When you remove someone from your contacts, both of you don’t see the conversation history and online status. You can accept them later at any time. When you block someone, you get a notification that you blocked them, but they don’t — your status is always offline to them, but they often get a notification when you go online, if they didn’t unfriend you. You can’t send or receive messages from them, but they can still send you messages, pending unblock. You can’t see if they’re online or not. Although not required, you may choose to remove them from your contacts.

Cannot invite members. Error message "Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content"?

i too am having this problem with the new format. i also can't even access "invite members" in the new format from my phone now that it's a drop down choice rather than a link of it's own.

we already have members that find yahoo groups difficult to navigate and wanting to find another forum, please don't give them another reason to revolt!

ETA: started getting emails letting me know that my invites had been accepted and new members had joined. guess the invites went out (a zillion times, since i kept trying!) despite the error message. hope they get that fixed!

How many people are normally invited for an interview for one position?

Hi Daniel - Sorry for a late answer - just saw your question. It depends on who is scheduling the interview and where they are in the process. If it’s a retained executive recruiter, they will usually present a slate of 6–10 for review by the hiring team. Of those, 3–4 will get an onsite interview. If it’s an internal recruiter, they will usually phone screen a lot of possibly qualified candidates and bring in 2–3 for review (fit, deeper dive on qualifications) with an interview team. These can also happen in “rounds” - In the past, I’ve interviewed a first round of 4 candidates, found none of them to be right and started over again with another 4.Included in the standard set of 3–4 candidates is usually a minimum of 2 “really good on paper” candidates, one who is an interesting outlier and one who is perhaps overly qualified but will help the hiring team understand the range of what’s available. As the process finishes, companies will want to bring in a “top 2” for final review, consideration before making an offer.Hope that helps - let me know if you have any follow-ups!Good luck! :)

A girl that I talk to online wants to skype with me, but I am extremely shy. How can I tell her that I feel too shy to talk on cam?

My boyfriend had the same problem at the start of our (then) friendship. He told me that (1) he is was very shy about skyping or talking on the phone in general .. and (2) he stutters like crazy when he is nervous/ stressed/ shy …I told him that (1) I understand how difficult a request this is for him, (2) we will take it as slow as he wants, and (3) he doesn’t have to use a camera until he decides he is comfortable enough. Then I highlighted why talking on the phone is going to be a fun experience for bth of us ,,,and that I will do my best to make it an enjoyable and relaxed chat .. He can choose the time and duration of the conversation ..Our first phone/ skype chat was almost two years ago …I didn’t activate my camera until he relaxed, and he activated his camera after a short while without me saying anything :)He still stutters, still shy sometimes, and sometimes is self-conscious … but he did it, and our loooong distant relationship is coming to an end soon :DGo for it! If she is a good person, she will try her best to help you feel comfortable. But face her with it… don’t hide anything about you … showing that you are vulnerable is beautiful, so don’t hide …

Invitation letter from nigeria going here in the philippines?

Why would he need a Letter of Invitation? Are you sponsoring his trip? I sure hope you're not falling for that. What he needs to do is go the Philippine Embassy in Nigeria and apply for a tourist visa. He should have the necessary funds to cover his round trip fare and other attendant expenses otherwise he is not in the position to travel. In other words, he should be able to secure a tourist visa, on his own merit.

I have no family or friends to invite to my wedding?

Oh my gosh, you've got it all backward. Small weddings are wonderful and huge weddings are too impersonal. And those shows are sickening - the girls are all spoiled princesses and everything about them is scripted for ratings. Plus, I've been to those types of weddings. They are awful. There are so many guests that the couple can't possibly even talk to anyone and you end up feeling like a number - a number that has put out a lot time, money and effort to not feel very special at all.

Small doesn't mean you have to be on a beach or in a park. If it were me, I would get married at my church. With that amount of people, everyone can be sitting up very close to you. Everyone will have a nice view and no one will miss a thing. It will be so intimate and personal. Hopefully you have a church home so that your officiant knows you too.

Then afterward the 15 (don't forget to invite the officiant and organist, if you have one) can go out to a nice, intimate dinner. I know just the place I'd go around me. Very dark, quiet Italian restuarant, where they would just fawn all over your party and make it wonderful. Perhaps the restuarant you chose could line up some entertainment, like a violin player that comes around to your table. OR you could go completely the other direction. Change clothes and take everyone to the zoo, bowling, to a ballgame, etc. Either way, it will be wonderful and so personal. Your guests will THANK you up and down for not making them sit through another rubber chicken, garter throwing, first dance run of the mill wedding. Embrace the opportunity!

How many users can I share YouTube private videos with?

TL:DR- You can invite 50 users to view your private video. These videos can only be viewed by those who are invited to view them by the uploader. The uploader can choose up to 50 people to share the video with. However, those invited must have an active Google Account (and must be logged in) to view the video.Private videos will not appear in any search results, video recommendations, or the uploader’s video tab section, and subscribers to a channel won’t receive a notification when a private video is uploaded. If one of the uploader’s invitees tries to share the video with their friends, it won’t matter - only the invitee will be able to see the video.Change video privacy settingsPrivacy settingsPublic videos and playlists can be seen by and shared with anyone.Private videos and playlists can only be seen by you and the users you choose.Unlisted videos and playlists can be seen and shared by anyone with the link.

Is it weird to get engaged before meeting my bf's family?

My bf and I have been dating for a couple of years and we are planning on getting engaged next spring. However, I have still not met his family. He lives in their old house which is across the country from where the rest of his family lives now. There are no in laws in the situation, just a brother and extended family. Given the circumstances, would it be odd to get engaged before meeting his brother and extended family?
