Smelling Smoke. Did I Have A Seizure

Have you ever had a seizure from smoking too much weed or know of someone who has?

I think I have.I've been smoking weed for a few years now and I have been struggling to quit. So what happens is I quit for a few weeks and sometimes months and then I'm back on it. I recently started smoking again after quiting for two months.My brother and I were hitting a bong last night. I had more than four or five bowls. After that I started feeling very light headed and dizzy, almost on the verge of fainting. I wasn't worried because this has happened to me before. Once when I had never smoked weed and twice when I smoked too much. I later learned that these faintings happened cause it was really hot at the time and I had barely anything to eat.Last night however, got worse after a few seconds. The room was swimming. I thought to go up to my room but I could barely walk. I felt like I couldn't control my legs and the direction I was walking in. I finally made it up the stairs and went to the bathroom instead. I don't remember making the decision to do this and my room is in the opposite direction. In the bathroom I started shaking uncontrollably. I really struggled to keep myself up. At this point I think I passed out for a second because when I came to, I was on the floor. I don't remember how I got on the floor and assume I fell.For about 5 seconds everything was clear. I felt completely fine and headed to my room but the dizziness started up again. I woke up on my bed after what couldn't be more than a couple of minutes. Again, no recollection of how I got there and I had a loud ringing sound in my ear for a while. My brother came to check on me and I asked him to bring me a glass of water with lots of sugar in it (I assumed my sugar level was low). I felt a bit a better and fell asleep almost immediately.I'm not entirely sure what happened to me last night but I am more than sure it was caused by the weed I smoked. That experience scared the hell out of me and I know for sure that I will never smoke weed again. I don't want to risk putting myself in such a situation ever again.

Burning smell in my nose but no smoke?

So for the past couple of years, every once and a while, I get this burning smell sort of like smoke, but there's no smoke around and I'm never around smoke when I get it. I'm 15 and i remember this exact smell happening to me on and off since I was around 12. I don't know what it is, but it usually last a while, ranging from a couple of days to a month. This smell is starting to really bother me because at times it hinders me from smelling anything else. So I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what the problem is or give me some suggestions? It'd be a lot of help :)

Why do I keep smelling smoke?

The question here to is find out if you only smell the smoke in your house...or do you occasionally smell it other places too? This is important because certain viral and even bacterial infections in your nasal passage can affect your scent receptors making you think that you smell odors that aren't really there. For instance, whenever I have a minor cold or such, everything seems to smell the same -- provided that it has an odor! So a rose, or perfume, or cooking scents...all smell the same to me...usually also a burnt scent...but this goes away after I get better. Every time I get some type of respiratory illness, even if it's just the sniffles, this happens. Supposedly, some people are more prone to this problem than others...and for myself...it may even occur when other symptoms haven't even progressed yet -- so it seems that the only difference to me is the smell. Technically, this is a form of an "Olfactory Hallucination" -- a smell that is perceived, but not really there-- or it is altered from what it 'should' smell like. That's at leas ONE possibility. Good Luck!

Why do I smell Smoke?

First you need to rule out organic causes of your phantom smell (phantosmia). Phantosmia can happen after a sinus or respiratory infection or a head injury. It can also be a symptom of epilepsy or a brain tumor.

But before you panic, if it's been happening for two years you don't have epilepsy or a tumor.

As another poster suggested, and as you suggested yourself, this may be spiritual. There are spirits, energies, and entities out there that we cannot detect with our usual senses. When we do sense them, our body has to interpret them in some way. Some people hear things, some see things, some taste things, and some smell things, none of which are "really there."

I have phantosmia. I have the unfortunate talent of being able to smell when there's something negative or "evil" (for lack of a better word). I have been told (by a pagan priestess) that I am sensing a sort of demon that feeds on people's energies. I have this smell in one room of my house; we have smudged (burned sage) and have hopefully managed to make it retreat. I can smell this odor on certain people, and these people usually look upset, disturbed, or very ill.

I suggest that you cleanse your home. I like using sage bundles (available at any pagan store) and go to each corner of each room, saying "West, North, East and South, with this sage I bless this house, positive in and negative out, remove this curse without a doubt." You can put a bowl of salt in one of the rooms and order the "bad" spirits into the salt. Then take it several miles away from your home, to a crossroads, and pour it out.

Lest you think I'm writing this from a locked psychiatric ward somewhere, I am a 50-year-old teaching assistant. You may also want to do some independent research on phantosomia.

Smoking weed how to get smell out of room?

The smell is supposed to fade of clothes after a half hour, but with rooms the smoke gets put into the interior of all the walls and furniture. I suggest burning incense or candles. Open a window, cut on a vent and flush the roaches and ashes down the toilet. Try to blow out the window and give it about half a day and it'll probably go away. But that might be a bit of a risk.

If I smoke weed in my room how long will it take to get the smell out?

take the tube from a paper towel roll or a toilet paper roll. the bigger the better. stuff one end with 5 or 6 dryer sheets. exhale all smoke through the other end. the smoke will go through the dryer sheets and it will smell like fresh laundry. or you could smoke in the garage. just remember drugs are illegal, good luck!

Can panic attacks cause a smoke smell?

Smoke? Like burned toast?
Thats a seizure!

well look....

a panic attack usually has symptoms like:

racing or pounding heartbeat (palpitations);
chest pains;
stomach upset;
dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea;
difficulty breathing, a sense of feeling smothered;
tingling or numbness in the hands;
hot flashes or chills;
dreamlike sensations or perceptual distortions;
terror: a sense that something unimaginably horrible is about to occur and one is powerless to prevent it;
a need to escape;
fear of losing control and doing something embarrassing; and
fear of dying.

and a seizure usually has symptoms like:

Chewing movements
Convulsion
Difficulty talking
Drooling
Eyelid fluttering
Eyes rolling up
Falling down
Foot stomping
Hand waving
Inability to move
Incontinence
Lip smacking
Making sounds
Shaking
Staring
Stiffening
Swallowing
Sweating
Teeth clenching/grinding
Tongue biting
Tremors
Twitching movements
Breathing difficulty
Heart racing.

So you can see the BIG difference.
I'd get checked by a doctor just to be sure.
It's better safe then sorry, because seizures can be very dangerous.

Why do I smell cigarette smoke when no one is smoking?

I started smelling cigarette smoke at home, in my car and at work after a co-worker passed away. It lasted about two weeks. The smell became progressively so intense, it would wake me up in the middle of the night, and the insides of my nostrils would be burning. It felt as though someone was blowing cigarette smoke right up my nose. To my knowledge she was not a smoker. It happened again a year later after a dear friend died. He was a chain smoker. This time it brought me comfort thinking he was around. But now, almost two years after his death, the smell and the pain in my nostrils is so severe, I can't shake it. It's becoming completely bothersome and the episodes are lasting longer. Even as I sit and type this, my nose is on fire and the smell is sickening and dizzying! Is this a sign of a medical condition? Has this happened to anybody else? No one in my family smokes, and we had completely gutted our home when we moved in, installing new floors, paint, & carpet so I doubt it could be possible residual odor from past owners. Especially since the smell seems to follow me to my car and at work. Could this be paranormal? How do I make it stop?
