Snake Owners Does A Pet Snake Corn Python Bite Really Hurt

Corn Snake Or Ball Python?

I'd recommend the corn snake simply because it's a hardy little guy and they don't grow to be big. They're easy to care for and they're fun to hold.

Ball Pythons aren't hard to take care of, but cost more in the long run since you'll have to buy/build a larger cage after a few years and you'll feed it pinkies, then mice, then rats which add up to a lot. The corn snake will eat crickets and possibly pinkies when it's fully grown (ie: cheap.)

So, just know what you're getting into before you get either, it's a big responsibility. Also, the corn snake's cage is a lot easier to clean than the Ball Python's and my friend's python has bit him 3 times since he got her 6 months ago even when she's full (allowing for time to digest of course. [this is a rare reaction, the bite doesn't really hurt, just sort of surprising and it draws blood.)

Good luck :D

Do python snake bites hurt bad on humans?

This depends ENTIRELY on the size of the snake. And perhaps on where it bites, of course.Bites from small pythons really don’t hurt. They have teeth like needles — they go deep, and draw blood, but they’re almost painless.A larger python, of course, has larger teeth… and those teeth go deeper. They can cause nerve damage, and even hit bone. So long as the person does not flinch away or try to pull the snake away, they can usually come away with a couple of U-shaped marks made of deep puncture wounds, and no serious damage, though. If the person doesn’t react calmly and let the snake withdraw on its own, then even a small python could cause a substantial laceration. A large python could cause a wound that requires surgery. What’s more, they might wind up breaking the animal’s teeth off in the wound (which could result in the animal’s death by infection, as well, as problems for the human). But that’s a mistake of the person who’s bitten, and not a characteristic of the bite itself. That having been said, I would rather be bitten by an ENORMOUS python than be bitten by, say, a German Shepherd dog. Mammal teeth do a lot more damage, and cause exponentially more pain.As you can see, no big deal, with a snake that size. But, you can imagine that a snake with a head the size of a dog’s might cause a bit more damage.Ouch.Still, nothing like the horrible wounds an actual dog would cause.

How bad does getting snake bites hurt?

Haha wow, I love the answers about, you know, snakes :D

Ok and to answer the question... it's really not that painful. The mouth is a pretty sensitive area but the pain is momentary and not at all unbearable. Even after getting my lobes, nostril, and helix pierced and piercing my own navel I found earlobe piercing to be the worst, so if you can handle that you're set :]

They look amazing and if it's something you really want, the ikkle bit of pain is definitely a small price to pay for such a gorgeous addition to your face :D

After a few piercings, you might catch the bug, haha. They're kind of addicting ^^ Pain won't even be a factor anymore when you're set on getting a new piercing.

Anyway. Worth it, doesn't hurt terribly, so go for it :D

Please answer only if you have a ball python or corn snake!?

Can they be kept in the house along with other animals such as cats, dogs, lizards, without causing any harm or trying to eat them? I've always wanted a snake and do not plan on leaving it unattended or anything, but just considering if it did escape, I want one that is small enough & harmless enough to not hurt anyone or any other pets. Also, if ball pythons ever do bite- is it serious enough to require medical attention/ stitches?
(Asking a lot of questions because I don't know anything about keeping snakes) Thanks!

Do Baby Corn Snake Bites Hurt?

Judgerz: they have teeth, not fangs. They are not a venomous species!
Babies have tiny teeth as stated and generally don't hurt if they bite. I've had a few that were a bit painful because they caught the edge of a fingernail cuticle or some other sensitive portion of your hand like that. Generally during feeding time when they've grabbed a finger instead of the pinky. Adults hurt more! Babies are no big deal. I've rarely had a baby bite me except during a feeding response, most of the time they attempt to get away and tail rattle once in a while. Most are very docile though...just quick. I usually just reach in and pick them up. Smooth, sure movements are better than quick jerky ones. They stay calmer when you just reach in and pick them up firmy by mid body. If they are in a small tub, you can sometimes let them climb partially out and then just put your hand under their bodies and lift them out.

What do you do if your ball python bites you?

Oh, it’ll happen at some point, and it’ll be your fault when it does, lol. And you’ll know it, right before it happens — that it was your fault, and you set this up.But that wasn’t the question. The question is, what do you do? Well, you hold still. You absolutely do NOT pull away, or try to pry the animal off if it’s wrapped your hand. Just hold still. If you try to pull away, or remove the snake, then you’re going to wind up with lacerations. If it’s an adult, they might be serious enough to require stitches! What’s more, the snake’s teeth could break off, creating a route for infection (in both of you) (and hurting a whole lot). The snake could even die as a result. So don’t do that.A snake that bit you defensively will have simply nipped you and released immediately. Wash it with soap and water, and call it a lesson learned.A snake that bit you accidentally because you forgot to wash your hands after handling a rodent will probably wrap up your hand (or whatever it bit), and constrict. This hurts a little. The bite isn’t really painful, but when the snake squeezes down on its own head and drives the teeth in deeper, it can hurt a bit. No big deal, though.Just wait. Seriously. Hold perfectly still. Ball pythons have powerful instincts, and they’re simply not capable of letting go until their ‘prey’ has stopped moving, because that’s how they avoid being injured. After a minute or so, if it still hasn’t let go, you can try tapping it gently on the nose, or unwrapping it starting at the tail. The snake will release you as soon as it realizes it made a mistake. It will then look very sheepish, and probably refuse to eat that day. Oh, well.Wash the wound with soap and water. It’s just a row of pinpricks. They will bleed, but they’ll heal fast. Of course watch for any signs of infection, but if you reacted the right way, the risk is pretty low.And don’t do what you did to earn the bite, next time. lol.
