So I Wanna Play Football For A Division 3 Football Team. I Played Linebacker In Highschool.

Is senior year too late to play High School Football?

If your really looking into wanting to play, do it. But if you want to play and do something out of it, then take the extra steps to become a good player. Start working out, start running, look things up on how you can become a good player. Because its not too late to do anything. Im going into my senior year and im playing basketball for the first time since 7th grade, but since the moment i decided i wanted to play i took those steps so i could be good. I was already really athletic and pretty good at basketball, but i dont have the experience of playing organized basketball so i started working out to get stronger and i bough a hoop so i can do shooting drills and i do dribbling drills and i try to play pickup games as much as i can to get better. So if your really looking to play to be good an do something out of it, then i would look into doing things that will help you get good and do them every day and it will help. But if your looking into just playing for fun, then go ahead it doesnt hurt either way. And yes teammates will accept you

Is senior year too late to play highshool football?

If you are willing to work hard and be dedicated to what you are doing then I would recommend that you play football.. It;s definitely not too late to start... It isn't gonna help that you are out of shape because it is gonna put you behind the others that are in condition. .. You should start running everyday and working out in the weight room to try and catch up.... You should check with the coach to see what equipment the school provides and what it doesn't provide and then go out and buy those things... Once you get involved in the practices the coach will determine what position you fit the best at... Good luck.....

Is senior year too late to start high school football?

Hey I've always wanted to play football on a team but never did.. Now I'm going to be a senior in 3 weeks and want to go through with it. I'm 6'2 190 lbs I'm a little athletic... I also don't know too much about football.. I wanted to start working out again now but idk of the team already started practicing?

What position would I be good for?
Is it way too late to join the team? My high school teams shitty but us and a local highshool are paired up on one team so everyone cool with each other and ill sort of be the stranger... Thank you for your opinions

P.s we are division 4 so everyone makes the team

What are good stats for a highschool outside linebacker who wants to play at a D1 college?

Stat's don't matter much. I've seen a lot of kids go D1 and this is what they have in common.
Sophmore Year - Starting on varsity.

Junior Year - Named first team all-league, setting single season records in meaningful categories to their position (tackles, tackles for loss, interceptions, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, etc).

Senior Year - Named first team all-state, setting career records in meaningful categories.

Unless your school is a powerhouse, just being on the varsity team will not get you to a D1 school. Remember that there are about 300,000 high school seniors playing football this year and only about 2,400 of them will even go to a D1 college for football.

What do you think about girls playing high school football with guys?

I think it's awrsome. And, it's a great lesson for the boys. I served with women in combat, and they did just fine. And while I don't think a battle field is a great place to teach life lessons outside of survival, the impact these women had on the men in their units changed a lot of attitudes about what women are.A football field, particularly in school, is a place where these lessons should be taught. It's why we play sports in school. The physical fitness aspect is maybe 25%. Developing adults is the remainder. Women don't have the same physical attributes as men, but they have their own dynamics. Team work is about everybody exploiting their own strengths and compensating for others weakness. Team sports is about building discipline and character and a sense of responsibility beyond yourself. Having women on the team only enhances this. It removes the border between respecting men for being men and women for being women, and teaches respecting people. My niece wrestles. She's yet to win a match. But she's repeatedly come damn close. She's never been pinned and she's hell to get a clean takedown on. Her technique is exceptional and she's fast. She just lacks the raw upper body strength. But, she's getting there. I'm willing to bet she gets a couple of wins before the end of the season. Next year she will probably be a holy terror. Women need that kind of stuff.
