So I Will Be Joining The Air Force Within The Next Few Months And I Need Some Serious Details On

Joining Air Force After C-Section?

Usually you must wait 6 months after any major (and a lot of minor) surgeries before going back to MEPS. If you go to MEPS 4 months from your surgery, they'll say "come back in 2 months."

I had PRK vision correction surgery and a hernia repair within the last 2 months, both of which have a 6 month wait period. I'm GUESSING a C-section does too because it is a "major surgery."

Joining the air force as a married woman?

I am considering joining the air force in a few months after i receive my BA, so i would be going in as an officer. I am also planning to get married, would most likely join after married. is there any advice that i should take into consideration before making this decision. my husband to be totally supports my decision whichever way i go, but what are the chances that we would be separated and for how long. thanks in advance!

What will happen when I get pregnant during my Air Force AIT?

My husband and I want to have another child soon so that our first child is no more than 3 years older than our next child. I m joining the Air Force and will be leaving in January. I ll be going to AIT for a year in April. To have our next child in time, I have to get pregnant between April and August of 2018, while at AIT. If my husband visits me, and I get pregnant, what will happen when my command finds out I am pregnant, what will change, what should I know or be aware of? I appreciate any details, opinions, etc...

Will it help to join the Air Force with aN Associates ?

With an Associates, you would enter as an E-3. The AF doesn't give bonuses for enlistment except for 11 AFSC's. So unless you want to do Pararescue or combat controller, you won't see a bonus. The AF has plenty of poeple wanting to join without offering enlistment bonuses.

With a Graphics degree, you should ask about working in Public Affairs

Any information on joining the Special Forces, infantry, or air force?

If you are serious about joining Army Special Forces you are lucky because now is the perfect time to do it. I am reffering to the Army's 18X program that you mentioned in your question. Today guys like you can sign up for SF with your recruiter and not have to "pay your dues" in the regular Army first. If there would have been a program like that when I joined the Army I sure would have taken advantage of it. I had to spend over a year in the Army before I even had the chance to try out for SF.
In the 18X program you will go to Basic Training like anyone else who joins the Army, then go to Infantry school, Airborne school, and finally get your chance to try out for SF without wasting your time serving in the regular Army first. You will be surrounded by other 18X guys trying to do the same thing and you will help each other out and support each other. All of the 18X guys you will be with will be a little older and more mature than your average new soldier. You will be promoted up to the NCO ranks much faster than regular soldiers. As a Special Forces soldier you will earn more money than others in the Army. There is Airborne pay, Demolition pay, Special Duty pay, and if you learn your foreign language well enough you get paid for that too. It is not easy but anything worthwhile never is.

Im a female, 20 years Old. SHOULD I JOINED THE AIR FORCE?

That is the exact reason why I joined the Air Force. When I got out of HS I was originally going to join the USAF right away but I decided to go to college instead to stay with my GF. Next thing I know its been 3 years and at the time I only had one year of college done. So I was having the same issues as you, and I always wanted to deep down any ways... and I definitely dont regret any of it.

Its 4 years later and now I have a wife and 2 kids. I am back home and I am so much more mature and more disciplined than 4 years ago. I appreciate the civilian life so much more as well now. I am going back to college and will be getting paid about as much as I used to at my old job just to attend school now and they will pay for the classes and books. Its such a great deal (911 GI Bill).

It's not easy though, the military demands a lot of you 24/7. Every one thinks the military is such a great job and they pay you so well for most people at your age. But once you are in, you realize they make you EARN ALL those great benefits, they dont just give it away.

But if you have a strong will, and you want to do something for this country and be proud of it, then you will make a great choice to join the Air Force. But FYI, don't join if you are just looking for a easy pay check, and you are lazy with no motivation because a lot of people join like that and they HATE IT!
