Is someone notified if I block them from Facebook messenger?
I haven’t been able to find a clear answer on the “will the person know you have blocked them?” question, but here is a way to find out if YOU have been blocked - as well as some other useful information from the Facebook help directories:Go to a friend's chat box, Tap on the DP; Scroll down and you will find the option Block. Now, You can either block the messages or the person itself. If someone has blocked you on Facebook then you will not be able to see his/her profile nor you could see his/her personal information.When you block messages from someone:When you block messages from someone:They'll no longer be able to contact you (ex: send you messages, call you) in Messenger or in Facebook chat.You'll also no longer be able to contact them in Messenger or in Facebook chat.If you and the person you block are in a group conversation together, you'll be notified before you enter the conversation. I blocked a friend from sending me messages for a short period of time. Facebook website says to go to a previous conversation and you can unblock that way but i had Deleted all the threads and archives so there s no conversations between us. Now I can t unblock them. The person did not block me (confirmed) when I go to his page the messenger is greyed out. When I search his name it does not come up. How do I unblock? Remember this is not blocked on Facebook this is blocked on the Facebook messenger. We are still friends on Fb.

I think they can still message you, but if you block them they won't be able to.

Facebook allows you to remove the ability from everyone to send you a friend request. She removed you, but since she has this feature on, you can't add her again, and neither can anyone else that goes to her Facebook profile. My guess as to why her friends don't show up is because of privacy settings (i.e., you need to be her friend to see them, or only she can view it) or she removed everyone except for her boyfriend.

Can you still use Messenger to someone who has you blocked on Facebook?
No. Even though FB have split Messenger out of the main app on the mobile platform, Messenger is a Facebook feature. Thus blocking will block Messenger as well.As the other answer indicates, blocking makes you invisible to the other person and vice versa. Any old messages you had with them will be preserved but it will not be possible for either party to reply to the messages and they'll show up as from "Facebook User" or something like that with no link to the person's profile.If you've been blocked, please stop trying to communicate with the person. They do not want to hear from you.

If you delete them your inbox messages will still be there, you'll even still be able to message one another. But if you block them your inbox will disappear until you unblock them (in which case it will reappear), and you will not be capable of having any kind of communication with them via facebook.
