So Im 12 And I Want Some Money Because I Want A New Phone But I Would Need To Help Pay For It

How do you get your parents to buy you a new phone?

Well, if you’re like my girls, there are two issues here:They want a phone. They want a really expensive phone, hopefully the iPhone X.The first is about function (calling, texting, watching videos), and the second is about status. When we got the girls shitty fliphones so we could contact each other if necessary, they left them at home. They didn’t want to be seen with cheap devices that don’t have the latest bells & whistles. Luckily for them, an elderly relative died and left them a couple thousand dollars each and they went off and bought the hottest devices available at that time. Unfortunately for them, time passes and now their devices don’t receive reactions of “cool!” but just “enh…”So if you’re having trouble convincing your parents to buy you a phone that costs more than, oh, the equivalent of $150 USD, then I can’t help you make that argument because they know you can get a reasonably functional phone for a little more than half that much. But if they won’t even get you some shitty fliphone, then here are some arguments:What if I’m alone and I need to contact you?Or what if my friends are feeling bitchy that day and don’t want to let me use their phones?Or I could use the school’s phone, but what if they’re already closed or I’ve exited and they won’t let me back in?What if you’re on your way to some school event and it gets cancelled? Don’t you want to get a text immediately and not have to wade through all that traffic to get here and find out you drove here for nothing?School officials get tired of calling the classroom and interrupting the teacher for each and every message you might have for me. It’s just better if you can text me directly. We can share locations by phone. That way I know if you’re on your way to pick me up (and don’t have to bother you with a text while you’re driving) and you know where I am.If I have a phone and you get one of those mobile wifi hotspots, I won’t bug you on long car trips. I’ll just sit there contentedly listening to my music or watching videos. That’s all I’ve got. Good luck!

Phone help!!!!What do you think.?

Ohkay...sounds like ur minds made up..so y r u telling us this? u didnt even include ur old phone or wat phone u want...?

Im 13...i have the voyager..i paid 4 nothing. What do u think?

My cousin stole my phone and wont pay me?

im a guy on my sisters account btw

last week my cousin came to my house at 1 am and he asked me if he could sleep over because he had a fight with his parents and he didn't want to stay at home. i let him stay because it was 12 am and i was like whatever stay. i had just bought a new cell phone the day before that and he kept asking me to see it and play poker on it and i said no because i just bought it and it wasn't even charged fully. at 4am i wake up and he is gone and my cell phone wasn't in my pocket. i went to my pops and i was like where did aaron go and my pops was like he just left in a hurry. i ran out and i couldn't catch him, he was gone. so i went to my aunts house (his family) and i told them they were like we have no idea where he is, we'll pay you if you want. i was like no i want my phone back. so after 2 days i finally found the bastard and he had sold my phone and broken my sim card. i felt like punching him but i didn't. i was like ok give me the money that you sold it for and he didn't have it. he keeps saying hes gonna give it to me and he still hasn't. what should i do? i don't want to take money from my aunt because they barely have money for themselves. should i just let him go or keep pressuring him?

How can I save up enough money to buy an iPhone when I'm 12?

I have a coupe of questions for you. If you are able to buy the phone, will you also have a source of money to pay the bills when you make your calls? A phone with no service isn’t very helpful. Also, I use a cheap flip phone myself because I can buy enough minutes to fuel it for a year for under eighty dollars a year. Are there prepaid Iphones or will you need access to some adult’s credit to open an account for you?How about your physical security. Would your parents allow you to have this phone or fear it could be used to put perverts in contact with you? Could you be assaulted or robbed for this phone? Will you let the phone interfere with your schoolwork or would you yourself misuse it such as by sending or receiving naughty pictures? Before setting a project of saving for an iPhone, confirm with your parents whether they will let you keep the phone and who will be buying the minutes or data for it. Once you have their okay, they might consider getting the phone as a gift. Maybe you can get an older, cheaper model, but it will still be an iPhone.

How to convince my dad to get me the new iPhone 6 that is coming out soon?

Yes I know the iPhone 6 hasn't even come out but it's supposed to come out in march or September. Google it.

So I'm 13 and I got a phone for my 12 th birthday and I was planning to give it to charity if you can or give it to a friend. I already have an iPod 4 and 5 but I've had them for 2-4 years and they are in good condition-no scratches and I think it's time to have a phone and iPod in one as I think it'll be easier.

I know they are very expensive so that's why I said if put some money into it and I always have screen protectors and cases on my stuff.

What should I do? And please don't call me a spoilt brat I know people who wouldn't even consider giving their stuff to less fortunate people and believe me I am happy with my stuff I would just like an upgrade to last me the rest of my school years that I can honestly say I'm happy with and will care for. Thanks in advance

I'm 16, but my parents won't let me have a cell phone?

I'm 16, in grade 11. I'm responsible and get good grades. My parents however, won't get me a cell phone. Whenever the topic comes up, they say the cannot afford one (but when my brother was my age they paid for his, and we're really not THAT short on money). I'd suggest paying for my own, but their response would be that I'm wasting my money.

Not having a cell is becoming a very big inconvenience. Whenever I go to a social event (ig. a friend's birthday party, hanging out with a friend, to the movies etc.) my parents always require the phone number of the person who's event it is, as well as their address. This is very awkward for me to do, especially if I'm only just getting to know the person. Also, my parents require me to call them once I've arrived to where I'm going, which is very inconvenient, as I then have to ask to borrow someone's phone. My school is a "technology integrated" school, and the use of cell phones in class to help with work is strongly encouraged, and some assignments even require responses to be submitted via text. I feel very awkward when I'm the only one (sometimes there's one other person without one too, but usually not) who doesn't have a cell.

So, what should I do? By not having a phone, I'm put in some very awkward situations. Furthermore, by having a phone, I can contact my parents if I'm ever in a bad situation. What do you think, is wanting a phone an unfair request?

I'm 12 and I want to make my own money for things I want! Any ideas?

Life is full of money and places to get it...
Taking from mom and dad? Not very wise... Never bite the hand that feeds. Now enough on my lecturing. You need to spend money to make money. I sell on eBay and I'm 14 years old. I've made 3000 dollars this month. Getting my parents a new flat screen. Look at what is selling. Me personally, I deal with high end pens and writing utensils. I can sell a pen for 800 bucks and not blink an eye. Just be ambitious, if there is money to make, make it. You see something rare at a store you know you can sell right? BUY IT! Take it home throw it online BAM! easy, easy, easy $.
Type in Visconti pens on eBay. That's what I sell, and there's a market for it. If you need any help on anything e-mail me at parker@parkerspens.com

How do you save up enough money to buy a phone at age 13?

As a youngster, money is hard to come by , especially if you want something with a bit more value like a new phone or game console.First off. You need to be a bit bold. Don’t be afraid to talk to neighbours. Since you’re young, everyone will think it’s both adorable and responsable of you to earn your keep. So let neighbours know you want to buy a phone, and you’re willing to take out their garbage, walk their dogs, fetch the newspaper, or do the shopping for the elders around you, in exchange for whatever little they can spare. I know , it doesn’t sound very encouraging, but the little something they give you stacks up faster than you’d think .Second, ask your parents. Since they’re the closest source of income, let them know that you want that specific phone and you would apreciate them if they pitched in with a little cash . That’s all the talking. Start helping out with household chores, like doing dishes , or cleaning around when your parents aren’t looking. They see your determination, and they will be more likely to transfer a few more bucks to your piggy-bank.Third (if available). If you have grandparents, you should also let them know. Grandparents are usually more attached to their grandchildren, so if you have grandparents around, let them know what you want, and help them out with whatever you can. Dust the shelves, broom the porches…anything they need and you can do, it’s a possible income that gets you closer to the phone.4th- Save up. If you get any money as gifts for easter/christmas, save them. Keep them in a safe place until you reach the goal. Also, if you go Trick’o’Treating for Haloween, you might consider sacrificing some of your candy, and trading it for cash with other kids. The base point is, you have many ways of earning a few coins, it’s not much, but the sum rises fast, little by little. The best way to get more is to let people know that you want your phone. Do not ask for money, or ask your parents for the phone straight up. Better if you make your intent known and ask for stuff to do in return for that money. That’s the fastest and safest way i can think of .

I'm 15 and still don't have a phone. Are there other teenagers my age who still don't have a phone?

This question is wide open for some fun!So, for clarification purposes, let’s define what is meant by phone.Do you mean one of these bad boys?Or perhaps, this:Am I getting closer?Ok, so you probably meant something more like this::DNow that we’ve settled that little matter, let’s address the question.Yes, there are teens, many of them, throughout the world that do not have phones of any sort. Of course, some don’t even have nice clean running water or a regular food source but we’re not here to discuss that!My son is a teen, albeit 13. He doesn’t have a phone. Yet. And honestly, I haven’t decided what criteria will be applied yet to determine whether or not he will be able to get one. But here are somethings that I will definitely consider when he makes his case.Has he demonstrated the level of responsibility to know that it’s a tool to be used in appropriate ways? This includes knowing when to turn off the phone at night so that he can get enough rest to be successful at school, because a solid education is more important for his long term success than any electronic device, including social life.Does he have the money to pay for the phone himself as well as pay for his monthly usage? I’ve found in life that people tend to take care of things that they purchase for themselves. If he buys the phone and it breaks, he knows that he has to pay to fix or replace it. He may be able to be part of a family plan for minutes and data but he should expect to help pay for it in some way.As of now, those are the two main criteria that I’ll be applying. Other may develop depending on how things go. Sadly, parents don’t get an exclusive manual for each child with an associated rule book to guarantee success. So, we have to try things out, adapt and change what doesn’t achieve the desired outcomes. If you want a phone, you can likely have one, but you’re going to need to work out those details with your parents or guardians. Demonstrate how you are responsible, work to earn money to buy the phone you want, determine how much money you will need each month to pay for the minutes and data you want. Most parents are reasonable and if you do those things, that should go a long way toward them giving you the green light to get a phone.Best wishes in obtaining your phone…One last picture for the road… I bet your parents would let you get one of these. :p

How does a 13 year old convince a parent to buy him a cell phone?

Jesus, every time someone mentions they want something like a phone and they're under 18 it's always followed with answers like “not old enough!!”I had an iPhone at 12 as a hand-me-down. During eighth grade year we upgraded our phones and got iPhone 4s. Then we I got an iPhone 5c for 99 cents. Then we got iPhone 6s’s because we went with a deal that supposedly made everything cheaper and we got new phones. Just because y’all didn't grow up with cell phones doesn't mean that kids under 18 shouldn't have one.As for the question, the 13 year old should just explain why he wants a phone. Contrary to popular belief, there's many reasons. I rode the bus and therefore I would use it to inform my mom that I was on the bus both at the beginning of the day and the end of the day. If the bus didn't show up, it was upon me to inform her and pulling out my cell phone and calling her up made it so much easier for both of us. If I went to a friend's house and we decided to go somewhere (the park or the gas station which we walked to), I could inform my parents in case they decided they wanted to pick me up (they never told me an exact time that they were going to pick me up) or they could text or call me saying “hey we're on our way”Also, many schools are going onto this using cell phones for classrooms thing. They use them to teach, using kahoot and noredink and other stuff. You can't exactly do that without a cell phone or a laptop and schools don't exactly provide laptops or cell phones. It's a bring-your-own-device kind of thing. The question doesn't say “how does a 13yo convince his parents to let him get an iPhone 7 brand new” it just says cell phone. You can get a lot of smartphones pretty damn cheap but they're not going to be brand fucking new. But that's okay. An iPhone 3 and 4 (which was at least a few years old) was fine for me at that age. I have friends who had iPhone 5′s and now they got iPhone 6’s - their plan allowed them to upgrade for cheap.
