So Im Writing A Zombie Book I Need Help

Good Zombie Book Titles?

1. Stirring graves

2. The land of the blind

3. Over my shoulder

Or you could make it a comedy and call it 'brain burger' :-)

Whats a good title for a zombie book?

Among the Dead
Surviving the Night
Precious Silence
Into the Dark
When the World Fell Silent
Holding Hope
Indeed Dead

Idk i just took things out of the top of my head lol

Writing a book from the zombie's point of view?

Seeing as zombies are mindless, instinct-driven creatures I would say a pretty low success rate unless you find a niche audience of people who like to read the word 'brains' written 80,000 times.

EDIT: I don't know what you put is the title of as google couldn't find anything, but if you think zombies can be in love you and I have a very different idea of zombies. You would have to confirm that they still have brain functions apart from the ones that provide them with their natural instincts if you wanted to write a book in which a zombie can think, talk and be in love.

EDIT II: Yeah you need to confirm that, I mean I'm used to horror zombies and they're usually completely brainless and have no human emotions other than the desire to feed.

Just remembered this: http://scifimafia.com/2011/03/being-huma... The zombie in this isn't really a zombie as such (they call her it but she's a 'walking corpse' who died when it was impossible to die because of a disturbance) but she's the kinda thing you're talking about I guess...

I love writing stories, but I always get bored while writing them. Like when I get unsatisfied with the plot or something, I just start a new story, so I've never been able to finish a single one. How do I fix this?

I have a similar problem. I have several unfinished stories laying about on my computer--all interesting ideas (at least to me) and all unfinished. I just thought of one the other day, in fact, that I would love to write. This just happens to those of us who are ... afflicted. My advice to you would be for you to pick one story and finish it through no matter what. There are tricks to this. One of the better ones is to end each night's writing with a sort of a cliff hanger. Sometimes, I'll leave off in the middle of an interesting conversation, anything that will draw me back to the same story the next day. If you finish one, even a very short one, the next one is easier, and the next one is easier after that. I was writing a zombie story once, and I posted what I had of it on a zombie site and let the people who were reading it, talk, cajole and force me into finishing it for them. This actually worked really well, and I highly recommend it. I published that story afterwards."Like when I get unsatisfied with the plot or something, I just start a new story ..." Alter the plot here and make something exciting happen that does interest you. Even if that thing is way off from what you planned. And I mean dinosaurs with lasers strapped to their heads off (as long as you can fit it into the plot and make it work and it won't be absolutely ridiculous like literally dinosaurs with lasers strapped to their heads). You can do this, oh prolific one. Start small and work your way up into something bigger. Use Cliff Hanger and hang him from every cliff necessary to get you to the end, post your stuff and see if people will help you write it by bullying you word for word, paragraph by paragraph, and deviate from the chosen plot whenever necessary to keep you interested and excited about what you're writing--unleash dem dinosaurs!

Is it normal to skip around - when writing a book?

I thought you meant like literally skip around. You know, like hold your notebook in the air and jump.
If you don't mean that, I understand what you mean. I did that with one of my books and it turned out alright...till I got all the papers jumbled up when I was trying to put it all together. It's alright. Most people do write in chronological order, but that doesn't mean it's illegal not to. I, personally, prefer the chronological order, because I like to drone on and on and on and on when writing my books so it's harder if you're writing the main parts seperately, but if you're a to-the-point kind of author then I think it's as good a way to go as any.
Good luck and Happy Writing!!

What is a good title for a zombie book that hasn't been taken?

I am an author trying to come up with a title for a book I'm writing and all the good titles were taken. The title I have right now is Plague Z. I would give you what I have so far, but its not finished, if you have any suggestions let me know a bit about the books I'm currently working on.

I'm writing a zombie apocalypse novel. Do you have any tips, plot suggestions or common mistakes I should avoid?

Have fun and write what you know.  I published a ZA novel last year (Brutal Planet) and am working on a second, it was a very interesting experience for someone who had never written fiction. The above answers are all correct in particular your novel should not about zombies per say (unless you protagonist is a zombie) but about us and what we do. Read and watch all you want (and you should) but don't try to mimic. This is your story, write what you want to write! BUT PLEASE, PLEASE don't make it the start of another trilogy or series(unless you have a unique kick ass story that needs serious ink to tell it).The other thing I learned the hard way is edit, edit and then edit some more. I published through a smaller press and they just don't have the resources (the novel was edited in house). I should have dropped some coin and sent it to a professional BEFORE I sent it to a publisher. Also, don't count your pages or feel like you have to have a certain amount of words to write. Write only enough to tell the story. I have read novels where it is obvious the author is shoveling in filler to get to the 100K word count (mine was 121K). I would love to talk. If interested you can find my contact info at the bottom of the BP Amazon page. If you read the reviews you see whybe  editing is so important. Good luck!

What do dead bodies smell like? (I'm writing a story)?

Okay, so I'm writing a story and in it one of the character's (I guess you could say) complains about the bad smell of like the dead bodies and such (It's a zombie story) so I was wondering what dead bodies exactly smell like. I don't mean like an answer like "they smell like dead bodies" unless there really isn't any other smell like it haha.

Describing a Zombie???? 10 POINTS!?

He stalked towards me in my moment of terror and i froze, unable to peel my eyes away from his ghastly towering features. His face was sunken in, eyes unfocused. His mouth twitched and drooled as if craving for something, anything, me. The smell of his rotting face made my stomach churn and it was all i could do not to vomit then and there. His nails were dark and bloody, but I wasn't sure if it was his blood dripping from them. Finally i saw his gross discolored skin close enough to see that it was falling apart. It was falling away from his muscle, his bones. I saw everything that I never wanted to see. In that instant, somehow, my body found itself, discovered how to move again. I ran as fast as I could.

Hey i know you only wanted a brief description, but i was bored and kinda went with it, but i hope i helped!! :) and i would like to see what you end up with, if that's alright :D
