So Just For The Record It

Does your criminal record get wiped at 18 in the UK?

when i was 16 i got a criminal record for shoplifting ( i did not go to court or anything so i presume i just got a warning), I ave since turned my life around and have not been in trouble with the police since. I turned 18 in March 2010 and presumed my criminal record would get wiped when I turned 18. I applied for a job in 2010 which required a Disclosure Scotland which was an intense check which came back clear. Im presuming my a Disclosure scotland is the same as a CRB. However i applied for a job in a care home in June 2010 and they required an CRB check, this came back with my shoplifting offence on it. Could someone please inform me weather the CRB and Disclosure scotland are the same, why it showed up on one and not the other. And should the record be wiped now I am 18.

What does the expression "for the record" mean?

i've seen it attached to the beginning of sentences, and i was always able to analyze what it means through contextual clues, but now i forgot. this just crossed my mind and it's going to bother me for the rest of my life unless you guys help me . ^^

How fast can a top DJ beat match two records that are matchable but he hasn't played before just by ear? For example, he plays record 1 and it's 135 bpm so how long would it take to get record 2 to 135 bpm using only the pitch control and your ears so you can mix them?

It depends upon how close in bpm you'd consider them beatmatched. Nobody ever gets it perfect with vinyls. If you get your tracks within +/- 0.1 bpm of one another, the kicks will take longer to start their misalignment than if you get them 0.3 bpm apart. It's sometimes preferable to have them 0.3 apart so that you are more confident which is ahead and which is behind. It's easier to adjust the fast one downward during the mix than it is to spend the extra time getting their bpms closer together. If you're a pro, you can get them "close enough" to pull off a good mix within 15-25 seconds. It can be counter productive to spend another 2 minutes getting them twice as close. You can pull off a great mix more easily when you're confident about where they sit.

What is the record for the number of misses in Battleship?

I was playing Battleship(Original) with my girlfriend at the park, and in the entire match I only missed 3 times! How rare is that? I know I have no proof to record it in the record books, but I'm just wondering so at least I'll know.
I beat her in 20 turns, and the very very best without any misses would be 17 turns...

Is it illegal to record someone taking a shower without their consent or knowledge?

I'm want to secretly record my friends sister taking a shower. I'm planning on hiding my phone with just the lense showing somewhere in the bathroom. Then I will proceed to masturbate to the recording. Just for the record she is 22 years old so I am not on some Jerred from Subway type stuff. I have no intention of getting caught.. but what kind of trouble am I looking at if I do get caught? My friends sister is 10/10 so I can't let this opportunity slip my grasp.

What is the longest answer on Quora that is collapsed because of downvotes?

The longest answer that I have written that is still currently collapsed is this one:David Frigault's answer to Was Eric Harris a psychopath? It managed to get 22,000 views and 191 upvotes, and it contained several thousand words as well as dozens of images. It was collapsed about ten days after it was posted.Other answers I have written that were previously collapsed and were also much longer include:David Frigault's answer to Why is capital punishment not as controversial in Japan as it is in the US?It had roughly 20,000 words, plus hundreds of images and links, and it was downvoted for the longest time before a couple of upvotes finally got it back to its rightful place (top of the answer board). The answer, which talks about the Titanic was also collapsed for the longest time, and it was approximately the same length as the second answer:David Frigault's answer to What are some lesser-known facts about the Titanic?A fourth answer, which was quite possibly the longest answer I have published to date: was instantly collapsed by a Quora Bot, despite having exactly 22,630 words and 148 images. It was collapsed for roughly sixteen hours before it became visible for other users:David Frigault's answer to What is the history of Ottawa?Currently, I have many more articles in the process of being made. Only time will tell whether or not an even lengthier one will get collapsed at some point. If history is to be believed in that it always repeats itself: I guess I will have to give an update for when a new record is made.
